They still have specific male- female bathrooms which could be made available to both or 100 of the new sex orientations. My only problem is their hours. Most breakfast places seat diners during their open hours. If it says 1:30pm then the staff can get out by 2:30. This restaurant tends to push people away - who are there for brunch - at about 12:15. Not sure the owners know how much business they are actually turning away since it's not apparent that once someone has been turned away over an hour before their end of day never bother to return. Also now that tips aren't technically taxed I would think employees would like a full day of work. Perhaps they need 2 shifts of wait staff and/or open for breakfast at 8:00am rather than 7:00. I moved to Manchester 3 yrs ago and have been baffled by the shortage of people willing to work full time or employers willing to add part-time workers on their busy days (Friday through Monday) There must be a way to keep staff and accommodate early afternoon brunch (10-2pm) diners. Manchester is basically a resort town that has kept its small town feel - which is a positive - but most restaurants in the area depend on seasonal diners. (Ski season, Fall foliage (leaf peepers, Summer equestrian, musical, play events and quiet during "mud season" so many businesses take a break some time during April/May. Manchester is an odd duck of a town - more New England than upstate NY or E. Pennsylvania. Some old locals insist on calling lunch - dinner and dinner supper which just confuses anyone who isn't a member of the DAR. (Daughters of the American Revolution) I have friends here who had relatives come over on the Mayflower - it was obviously a VERY crowded boat.

This a really good go to spot at the base…read more We often come here for a beverage and an app. Service is great! We've gotten to know a few of the servers and the host; awesome crew! The food can often come out fast because they have runners. We tend to wait a bit before ordering food. It can get busy here, it is right at the base after all. A place worth visiting when you are at Stratton!

I've been going to Grizzlys for over 10 years if not more. Always great times!…read more After doing some runs I'll head over for a lunch break, grab a sip and rest a bit. The drinks are usually on point as they were on this visit. But this time around I ordered a Grilled Cheese for about $14.. For the price you'd expect a good sandwich cooked correctly right? Well.. Honestly, I think they put the bread in a toaster, threw a piece of cheese on it.. Held it under a heat lamp to kinda try to melt the cheese then topped it with another toasted slice of bread because is was dry as hell. Definitely was not cooked with butter on a flat top. I could tell because the cheese wasn't melted onto the bread. Fries were luke warm as if they were lying in wait to be taken away.. Just not the best etiquette.. Not for the price. My cat could make a better sandwich. So no.. I wouldn't order their Grilled Cheese again.. Now if it was done right we might have a different story and better review. The bar service people were super cool though. The food prep isn't their fault. Very nice staff. Great libations. As far as ambiance, it's your typical ski lodge Bar. Bunch of happy people and families enjoying a bite or beverage on the mountain while chatting it up. There you have it! Cool spot.. (won't do the Grilled Cheese again though)

Had some pre-dinner drinks at the Trailhead as we were staying at the Sun Lodge over the weekend!…read moreThe bar area is very welcoming while the rest of the restaurant is very simple, and rustic. I had the Fig-Ure It Out which was a gin based drink with fig and olive oil. The olive oil was the ingredient that I was most intrigued and turned off by LOL. It wasn't a bad drink, but different for sure! I had a weird feeling in my stomach when I got there and I think the olive oil made it go away. After that I tried the Apples & Oranges which was bourbon based with cider -- very sweet but delish and perfect for fall! Next time I am in town, I'll be sure to order dinner!

Excellent martinis and bloody marys hit the spot to start us off. I was craving a burger and it did not disappoint... cooked perfectly generously piled with bacon & awesome fresh hand cut fries. Also ordered were the omelette, chicken & waffles, and greens & seeds salad (and the pull apart bread as an appetizer). Everyone was more than happy with their meals. Fresh well prepared ingredients and good portions. We sat outside and of course is pretty right there at the base of Bromley. The inside looked nicely recently renovated and we'll be back soon to try out dinner. Great to have a solid new option just 10 minutes from town. (I will take more pics and add them next time!)
