    It's an outdoors coffee shop

This place is literally a whole in the wall with great coffee and great service. Being the ex-New Yorker that I am, I came here because I heard the coffee was good. Well, it is! I also thought it is the kind of coffee shop where I can get my laptop out and work. It is not. There is some nice seating outside. In case of rain or strong sun there are sun umbrellas there. There is a heater above the order window for winter months (I assume...). No wifi. If you want to come here to get work done, it's not the ideal place for it. The elements and nature will get to you. If you want to come with a friend to enjoy quality cup of joe - this place is for you. They have great service - my kids kept demanding a coffee as well and ended up with some milk In espresso cups which made them very happy. I have tried several coffee places in the surrounding area and was not impressed. This one is the best one by far. If you are a coffee lover, this stop is a must. Enjoy!

I ordered a black iced coffee this morning after seeing the Five Star Yelp rating. Presently, Ungrounded works kind of like the Dairy Queen window. You order at the window. Some magic happens in the back. And you get your beverage. Ungrounded Coffee is in a cluster of businesses that also include a craft beer store, a pizza place, a florist that served good looking baked goods and a casual burger place. My iced coffee was just OK for me. It tasted like a South American blend. It didn't have any significant flavors to note. I suspect ungrounded is one of the better options in the area, but it's not among the better iced coffees I have had this year. Three Stars.

The coffee here is amazing, I highly recommend their iced maple latte. I do suggest going online to find out their hours for the day as they do tend to close in the early afternoon. The Rawsonville Roost is set up with a few different shops; it's a perfect place to stop by for a bite to eat or a quick coffee pick me up. In addition to the underground coffee bar, there is a bakery/florist shop, a pizzeria/Asian food kitchen and a craft beer shop. Outside there are a few picnic tables where you can eat or enjoy your coffee. Across the street there is a fast food joint with additional picnic tables.

Had to get one for home.

Quaint little space serving amazing coffee out of a take out window. Super nice gentleman busting his butt off slinging drinks. Iced Maple Latte ($4.69) was fantastic and you can request the # of shots and how sweet you prefer your drink to be. Shares the building with a shop that had gifts and some pastries so you have some options to grab a bite too, but very limited. Beans to go too with 2-3 options and they sell out fast.

The maple latte was fantastic without being too sweet, and the flat white was one of the best I've had as well. Cheers!

I told the person who helped me at 1A just that, thereby establishing the stakes at the outset. He didn't seem too worried. I quickly saw why. 1A has the best coffee I've had in Southern VT. And it's not even close. I'm a black iced coffee drinker. I prefer iced coffee (brewed hot and chilled) to cold brew (steeped at room temp or colder for a while) for technical reasons, but many places only offer cold brew these days. 1A offered both. Bonus point. The cold coffee was already stored in jars in a small fridge. I forget the price, but it seemed fair. The iced coffee was very good. Smooth. Very drinkable. No aftertaste. I've had the sense that the taste of other Southern VT Coffee spots is perhaps affected my mineral rich water. I did not have that sense at 1A. A couple of other selling points for 1A. 1A roasts their own beans. That always demonstrates a commitment to the craft for me. They're the only area place I've noticed that roasts their beans. In addition, in the best possible way, the person who helped me was a coffee nerd. I am too. He wants to try as many lattes in as many states as he can. He had a map showing all of his visits. I finally feel like I found a place in Southern VT that really cares about the craft of coffee. It's my new spot when I visit from CT.

We had the dark roast and would have thought it would be a little more robust in flavor but it wasn't. It seemed a bit weak like not enough coffee used or the roast wasn't roasted dark enough. The service was great however so that was a plus. Nice and friendly staff all the way around. There were a lot of locals there so it seems to do a decent business. But to be honest, it's the only coffee house in town. The place seemed a bit dark and dirty. The exhaust system must be not working or not strong enough because the entire place smelled of what ever was being cooked on the griddle. We sat upstairs and our eyes watered the entire time we were there. The odor got on our clothes and stuck with us until we got home. Their restroom wasn't clearly marked and was kind of hidden back by the kitchen area. It was also very dark where it was located. A little more light all the way around would be helpful. The concept and decor is a great idea but it felt more like what we use to call a "greasy spoon" restaurant than a quaint coffee house. It won't take much to make it better but as it is, can't say much good about the experience it Iron Coffee Co. I hope they take this review in a positive light as there really isn't much that needs to be done to make it a very special place to go for coffee. Note: We didn't have anything to eat so can't comment on that.
