A hidden gem in Cumberland! Parking lot is small so you may need to park on the street. The inside is small and cozy with a decent size bar. We went on a Wednesday night and were pleased to find they had live music. Service was friendly and the food was amazing! I'm still thinking about this reuben, so incredibly flavorful and grilled to perfection. Love that you get the option of fries, chips or tater tots. It's a small menu but I have a feeling everything is great. Can't wait to go back!

I saw the James Montgomery band last night at the Tap with friends. It was an amazing experience. I loved the warm, cozy feeling of a an Irish bar. We sat at a communal table and everyone around it was very friendly. My drinks were made exactly as I ordered and the waitress knew what "dirty rocks on the side" meant and delivered. And then there was the smash burger. This burger was not your typical bar burger..it was the best smash burger I have ever had. Thin and a little crispy but still juicy. The sauce, condiments and buttery brioche roll with it just gave it a certain something. I opted for a salad on the side but after tasting the house made chips my friend ordered, I regretted trying to be healthy. The chips were crispy without being too greasy or salty. The salad was very fresh and tasty. Another friend ordered the beef stew and declared it delicious. James and the band delivered a fabulous blues performance with his incredible harmonica solos and a few funky songs that had some up on their feet and dancing. If you are looking for great food, drink, and live music, you owe it to yourself to check out The Tap Cumberland.

Love this place! Great owner & staff, amazing drinks, cold beers and tasty food. Checks all the boxes. It can be very loud sometimes, especially if there's a band!

Very friendly staff and owner. We come every week or two, for drinks, a regular sized meal, (not an over stuffed plate with 4 pounds of food that will wind up in the trash, for which you get the pleasure of a $20 check), and the atmosphere. Ambience is just right, and the patrons are pleasant and easy to engage. It became one of our new regular haunts after the very first visit. We are actually heading there in 20 minutes. Have my dark and stormy ready!!!

It's a quaint pub that is comfortable and friendly. There's even a few items on the menu for the kids. Don't be afraid to bring the kids.

I have to admit I was disappointed in my visit to this establishment. I had heard good things about…read moreit & the parking lot was always full, so I was optimistic. Decor wise, there's not much to write home about. Outdated with lots of wood but, hey, it's a pub. Which is why I didn't expect fancy restaurant prices. The evening started out fine. Our friendly young server brought us a basket of warm Irish soda bread with real Irish butter, which was delicious. Our water was served in cute logo glasses. Strangely enough, the beverage menu listed wine prices but not cocktail prices. And we wanted Margaritas, which weren't listed. When we asked our server, she immediately said they didn't offer them. Since they have a full bar, we asked why. I honestly don't think she knew what a Margarita was. She said she'd ask the bartender & came back to tell us they could make them. We asked the price. Again, she had to find out... $12. We agreed, but when she returned with two drinks in Old Fashioned glasses, I refused mine. The drink was literally 4 sips! My dining companion kept hers & said it was nicely made but not worth the price. I ordered a ginger ale instead ($3). We both ordered fish & chips ($21) and, again, were disappointed with what we received for the price. The chips appeared to be hand cut & were tasty, but the small, thin fish fillets were breaded in what I believe was cornmeal. Edible but certainly not what you'd expect from an Irish pub. Where's the beer batter? Neither of us liked the tiny cup of coleslaw. Afterwards, we asked for a dessert menu. Again, no prices. There were three desserts & several coffee drinks listed. We opted for Irish coffees ($13) and were pleased with the coffee, whiskey, brown sugar and fresh whipped cream concoctions. With tax & tip, the total bill came to $105.76, way too much for this kind of place. And, they ended up charging us $13 for that mini-Margarita. Whatever. We won't be back.

Having prior experience with this establishment, I departed today with a sense of disappointment…read more My companion and I both ordered the fish and chips; however, the portion sizes did not meet my previous expectations. The coating was not the traditional batter but rather a crusted layer of bread crumbs. Typically, Irish or English pub-style fish and chips are prepared with a beer batter to achieve a crispy crust, a preparation I believe I previously enjoyed at this venue. Consequently, this was a notable disappointment. Additionally, when requesting two margaritas, the waitress informed us that they do not serve margaritas. While I understand that it is an Irish pub rather than a Mexican establishment, it is a fully licensed bar and pub. We did ask her to request it from the bartender, which was produced. Although it was good, size matters; it was a 4oz drink. Not worthy of a $13.00 price tag. Regarding portion size and pricing, the fish and chips were quite expensive, especially considering the limited portion size. My recollection is that in the past, the portions were sizable enough to share, but not so much now. Lastly, my observation is that many restaurants, once renowned for excellent cuisine, have exchanged flavor and portion size for profit. Giving customers less and increasing prices threefold. This is a pub, not an elegant establishment. I felt the prices were higher with less product for your money. I awarded two stars because the Irish soda bread was delicious, and the Irish coffee was quite exceptional.

This spot happens to be on my way home from the office and I'm glad I stopped in. Overall the place is small, with both table dining and bar seating. My friend and I chose to sit at the bar. Meaghan was our bartender. Friendly and informative, she really knew the menu. I got garlic teriyaki wings, my friend got a double order of plain and we shared a pepperoni, half black olive pizza. The wings were huge and juicy. The sauce was so good, and they did a great job of coating the wings in a way that they were well covered but the sauce wasn't dripping off. The pizza was better than average. I had heard it described as bar pie in the local pizza Facebook group but that isn't accurate. It's got the thickness of a Greek style pizza but not baked in a pan. The pizza sauce has a nice tang to it that I prefer. It very easy to eat. Initially I thought I would be taking some pizza home for lunch the next day but before I knew it, I had polished off the wings and 6/8 of the pizza. My only criticism of the pie is I'm a stickler for a proper half and half split and the olives were on a majority of the pie instead of only half. I finished with a Snicker inspired drink created by our bartender. It's butterscotch forward in flavor and is decidedly a dessert drink. It was a lovely sweet treat to finish the meal. What I love most about the Food Fight events is having the opportunity to discover small spots like this one. Having a place to hide away from traffic on the way home from work is clutch, so I will be back sooner rather than later. I'm looking forward to the next time I stop by!

These Tator tots that were on special with pulled pork were so good. But the biggest surprise was the cauliflower. Hands down THEE BEST fried cauliflower I've ever had in my life. Not soft and mushy but crispy great flavor and the sweet chili sauce was not over powering. The bartender was super friendly and gave us some recs as well. I would drive the hour again to this spot.
