Benjarong is lovely Thai food with lovely Thai service. My family has been going here for at least 20 years. We love it. Usually we have dinner there but for the first time, I tried one of their weekday lunch specials. The price is great at about 15$, and includes a small soup and appetizer. The portion was plenty for me to take home leftovers for another meal. One of the ladies that works there always remembers my family and our regular orders. She has worked there for years, is tall and wears glasses and used to live in N. Hollywood. lol that's what I know about her, and don't know her name. Shout out to her, she's awesome. read more

Ordered the Massaman Curry, firstly rice is not included and has an extra charge on top of the dish ($2.50). To me curry is a meal that is served with rice. The Massaman Curry was filled mostly with carrots giving the whole dish a strange flavor as carrots do have a unique flavor and can add a negative additional taste to any dish. In addition all the recipes I searched not a single one had carrots, exclusively chicken, potatoes, and onion. The sauce was very very watery and not creamy at all, as if they added diluted coconut milk or regular milk. The meal was poor at best. Do not think I will be going back as a result. They seem to be trying to save on the quality of the food they are producing. As you should be able to make a decent flavorful Massaman with a creamy nicely spiced Curry sauce with some rice. read more

Best wonton soup I've tasted. Fresh, ginger imbued broth with shrimp and cabbage wontons wrapped in light noodle. Nothing gummy or grisly as can be the case elsewhere. Got me through a recent winter bout of bronchitis. read more

Very flavorful and authentic (from what I've experienced) Thai food! Healthy amount of food, teetering towards almost too much. I was able to make 2 meals out of my crispy pad Thai. The staff was attentive, nice, and always made sure to check in and see if were doing well, which I really appreciated. Let me begin by recognizing that restaurants have had a tough time due to Coronavirus. I appreciate each and every business that has done everything possible to keep their doors open. That being said, I think quality should not suffer. We've always had a positive experience here, but yesterday I was disappointed with the majority of the items we ordered. Chicken wings were good, and they were the only thing I can say that about. Paradise beef was dry and tough. Calamari had an onion ring type breading, a bit greasy and there were only EIGHT rings for $9. The pineapple fried rice, which I usually love, was mushy and bland. I requested silverware and plates but received neither. I'm not sure why this order missed the mark when we usually are quite pleased with the food here, but I probably will choose a different Thai restaurant next time. read more

We have been ordering from Benjarong over the last 6 years and it has gotten consistently worse. last night was out last time. The pad see we is made with broccoli (not Chinese broccoli) and the taste is akin to dog food now compared to another local Thai place especially. We ordered a specialty dish and it came without rice, was maybe four shrimp and some veggies and was $18. Wasted $50 dollars- didn't not finish either. Will never go back. read more

Nothing special. Prices a little higher than others. Biggest disappointment was that coupons US mailed to me with their menu for free Pork Dumpling and Spring Rolls for Delivery and Take-Out (over $55) was not honored because I did not order in person (!). Although I asked for these and mentioned at the time of order they did not provide these and when I asked why not I was told because to use these Take Out and Delivery only coupons, you have to order in person. (Who orders Delivery in person?!). I'm not impressed with the management. There are better places in the area for Thai. read more

We really like this place for takeout. You can also dine in a small restaurant. One large room with many small tables. Plain not fancy. Food is always good, the service is fast and very courteous, and there is no communication problem. however, don't use their online ordering system. It is not secure. Call them directly. read more

We love Benjarong--they make delicious Thai food quickly, consistently, and with great family-oriented service less than 2 minutes from home. We always do takeout--just because of our family's needs--but their ambiance is really nice and it seems like a great place to have a sit-down meal as well. Cute fairy lights, nice tables set up away from the doors, etc. Food: We love their noodle dishes! Crispy pad Thai is a special favorite, but we can cycle around all the favorites. Pad see ew is always great, pad woon sen is very satisfying and the noodles are BOMB. Regular pad Thai is good but could use more veggies to give it better color. The ginger entree is also superb. Their dumplings are so flavorful and delicate that my toddler can eat all of them on her own, and the sauce with the spring rolls is sweet, spicy, salty, perfect. The curries are great--not the spiciest, but definitely very flavorful. Just make sure to order extra rice! No complaints here, we love benjarong and are very grateful for a solid Thai restaurant in the neighborhood. read more

Today I tried the crispy pad Thai and the pineapple fried rice. The pad Thai was ok but was nothing special. I liked that they give you plenty of peanuts with it and the overall flavor was ok. The Pineapple fried rice was disappointing... it's hard to describe why but I wasn't impressed at all. These are the two most common Thai dishes that I order and I wasn't impressed..... Had the Duck Massaman curry. Very tasty and the duck was the most moist & tender I have had in an Asian restaurant dish. But I had ordered Extra Spicy and it was barely 1/2 a star above mild. I recognize that this is New England and I have seen more than once seen folks angrily complain that the "mild" was far too spicy, but it is time to recognize that there are many non-Asian chiliheads out here, who really do want it super spicy. Always, always a great experience. This place doesn't have any bells and whistles, it's a big dining room with attentive service, excellent food and decent prices. It's also a popular business lunch meeting spot. My personal favorite is the pad thai because it's amazingly light and flavorful, but the chicken satay and appetizers as a whole are pretty fabulous too. My Advice to those ordering pad thai is to get some peanut sauce with it and mix it up -- delicious. The food is incredibly delicious. I'm not easily impressed with food, having had the opportunity to enjoy a multitude of restaurants in the region. This food is fresh, flavorful, and actually spicy when you ask for spicy! Not easy to find in the suburbs. TheThai spicy noodles are cooked perfectly. The spice isn't overpowering, but adds a great kick. The Massaman curry is delicious. The sweet of the coconut with the Thai spice is a yummy combination.I don't waste a drop. The vegetable TomYum has the right amount of lemongrass flavor without overwhelming. The vegetables are cooked perfectly, not too soft. My son ate the entire vegetable delight in a light soy sauce by himself. Opt for delivery. The people in the restaurant who handle take out are not pleasant, but the people who deliver are very nice. read more

Food is excellent, fresh and tasty. 3 observations. 1. Their spicy 'one pepper rating' is really not that spicy, so if you are 'that hot fanatic', ask for 'extra spicy'. 2. And this is dicey, I recommend ordering online, I had to repeat my order 3 times by phone. To his credit, the person taking the order made sure he had it right so that attention to detail was terrific. The order itself was perfect as to food quality and accuracy. 3. While we probably take 80% of our meals out, I can honestly say all family and friends who have eaten with us in the restaurant have always been impressed. This is a mediocre restaurant that is made worse by the fact that they're overpriced. If you serve bad food, at least sell it cheap. Also they don't include rice with their dishes. We ordered from here twice. We mostly got noodles and vegetables. A couple of chicken dishes. We didn't try any curry. We live like half a mile away so we wanted to like this place. Ordered dinner from this place after a LONG day of traveling. Woman on the phone was nice and recommended an appetizer (rolls). She gave me an accurate delivery time frame. So far so good... Then the food arrived. Rolls were good and the sauce was yummy - maybe I should have asked the woman what I should have for dinner, but I didn't. I ordered pad se eww with tofu and no onions. The portion was generous but the whole thing kind of tasted burned. The tofu pieces were cooked to the point of being a sponge and the sauce lacked flavor. Broccoli was a little too crunchy, but carrot slices were good. Also worth noting that even though I gave them a hotel as a delivery address they did not include napkins or chopsticks. Ah, Benjarong. Sometimes it's very good, and sometimes it's just ok. I really wish it weren't so inconsistent. And I also wish they didn't serve what I believe to be straight up brown rice syrup as the dipping sauce for dumplings and spring rolls (especially since the menu says it'll be something else entirely)? Sugar as a dip for fried things is just a bummer, especially when fish sauce-based dips that you'd encounter pretty much anywhere else are so, so good. Items that we like include chicken kra pow, nam sod, papaya salad, drunken noodle, and green curry. The tom yum is decent, too. read more

I'm not sure why there's not a little more love for this place here on Yelp. I've dined here, both staying in and getting take out, many times, and the food and service never fail to satisfy. My latest trip here was for dinner with my guy. We'd flown that day and not had much to eat, so we were both hungry. Green curry is my all time fave at Thai restaurants, so I got that with chicken. We split an order of their pork dumplings, which you can get steamed or fried; we opted for fried. First, these pork dumplings are simply the best that I've ever had anywhere. Period. They were dainty morsels, perfectly stuffed with a delicious filling, and with a gyoza wrapping so thin that I was surprised they were still intact. The texture was simultaneously crunchy and delicate. Dumpling perfection. The green curry was also excellent. So often this dish is either too thin and watery or just a fat bomb. It takes some skill to get it right, and they do here. It's a rich curry without that cloying mouthfeel that has been the downfall of lesser curries. The veggies had also been prepared with thoughtfulness, and were cut into consistent sizes and each cooked perfectly. And let's face it; chicken breast is not the most interesting protein, and can arrive dry and overcooked at Asian restaurants. Not here. It was tender and almost silky in its texture. I wasn't asked what spice level I prefer, which is fine with me, as I expect a green curry to have some heat. This one did, and it really hit the perfect level to my taste. I asked for some hot tea and they brought the same tea they use in their Thai iced teas. It was delicious, and reminded me of Rooibos. Our server refilled it whenever our glasses got low. Service is great; attentive, friendly and professional, and they have never failed to both greet me on my way in and say goodbye and thank you on my way out. They even have a full bar with specialty drinks. Great place! read more

I came here to get pick up on a Wednesday afternoon. I ordered the Thai Spicy Noodles and Pad Thai with tofu (asked to be spicy). I was able to pick it up in 10 minutes. First off, they did not put utensils in the bag. So I'd ask if you plan to order from here. The Thai Spicy Noodles were very flavorful. It looked spicy, but it wasn't. I really enjoyed this dish. The Pad Thai wasn't spicy at all, even though I asked for it to be. The tofu and noodles were a bit soggy. The sauce was a tad sweet, but it worked. They gave big portions of each dish. Great option for Thai food in Acton. I love the fact that you can choose your meat/tofu with most of the dishes and they aren't predetermined. I went last night and had the Vegetarian Fresh Rolls, Sweet & Sour Tofu, and of course, a Thai Iced Tea! The food was all delicious, and the vegetables were really fresh. Portions are big, so you should have enough for lunch the next day. Service is also great, very attentive. I don't think my water glass ever got past the half way mark without being refilled. It's lacking a bit in the ambiance, but you'll hardly notice that with all the great food! read more
