When I was living in Boston during my college years, there was a Chinese/Japanese fusion restaurant next door that stayed open until 3:00AM. I ate there once or twice a week (sorry waistline) and I fell in love with a dish - Honey Walnut Shrimp. I have been unable to find a restaurant that sells a comparable one, but Taka Asian Cuisine in Littleton comes pretty close. Located in the open-air, mixed shopping and entertainment center called The Point is this Asian Fusion restaurant sitting among many other options. The spots directly in front are almost always filled up so you're going to need to park in the larger Market Basket lot about 50 steps further away. The restaurant has an upscale vibe to it and there's an option between Hibachi and Dining. Of the few times I've been here I've only ever done dining. Dark and moody is how I would describe it here thanks to the dark leather booths and dark wooden tables. The red-lattice accent walls give a punch of color - this place is definitely meant for dining in and not just for takeout. Our wait staff were excellent. I was never without water for more than a moment. They did not bother us until we were deep into eating our food. And they accommodated extra requests with no hesitation. Beef Skewers ; these were delicious. they're almost as incredible as the ones sold by my local Chinese restaurant. great sweet teriyaki flavor and the accompanying sauce made it even better. Very recommended. Mein Fun w/ Beef ; I'm always sold if I see a noodle dish on the menu that uses rice noodles instead of udon or egg noodles. It has a nice balance of cabbage, onion, carrots and green onions, and eggs spread throughout making the dish a delight to eat from beginning to end. Crispy Walnut Shrimp ; this is my star of the show and it is so good. the shrimps they use are satisfying large and plump. the light batter on the shrimp were neither soggy nor too thick. the sauce was just the right amount of sweetness without being nauseating, and the broccoli had great crunchy snaps to them. my cravings were totally met by this. I had a solid experience here with delicious food all-around. I should try to swing by more often to get a feel for the rest of the menu. read more

This concept is cool because there's a hibachi section, a bar, and a place you can just sit and order from the menu. Since this was my second time ever having Hibachi, we opted for that. It wasn't busy inside so the vibes were a little down but it's ok. There were multiple stations but everyone was leaving as we walked in, so we had the whole room to ourselves. You choose a protein and then it comes with soup, salad, two shrimp, and either fried or white rice. I chose steak and my boyfriend got the chicken. He loved the soup and I liked the salad dressing. Our chef was talented and gave us a good show. He had cool tricks and was interactive. He even made our rice into a little heart for us. The food was tasty, the fried rice was my favorite. Plus my steak was cooked well. My boyfriend liked his chicken too and vegetables. It was cool to see the food being made, and the portions were huge--I had leftovers. We then headed to the bar where we gathered with some locals to watch the world cup game, the energy was really fun in here and bartender was nice. I hope this place gets busy because the food is good and they have a large space. It's located in a plaza so plenty of parking and not too far from Kimball Farms. read more

The Salmon Hibachi was the best. Do not take me wrong but between the shrimp and steak the salmon and rice stole the show. The show was good and there was plenty of laughs, flying food and fire. The experience is fun read more

Our server Oscar was awesome! Best service at an Asian restaurant in Westford-Littleton. Friendly, attentive, funny and helpful. My friend, Gary, who is really a restaurant savant, thought the pad Thai was the best in the area. It's rare for a fusion Asian to have great pad Thai, but this guy is a genius from New Jersey who knows food. We had a selection of sushi and appetizers in the lounge area of the restaurant at the Point. It was fresh and well presented. The sushi portions - especially sashimi - were generous. Amazingly, it was the first time we've ever visited. The prices were reasonable, but a little high. But not like the premier prices of Karma. read more

This place is fantastic! I've been coming here for years for hibachi, and the chefs are amazing here. Service is very good as well. I always order hibachi shrimp or I'll do the hibachi shrimp and chicken combo and they're always delicious. They even gave me a free fried ice cream dessert for my birthday last week. Definitely recommend this place! read more

we go to this hibachi restaurant for every holiday With great service and fast food. Unfortunately this time we were placed with another larger party and the other party was favored and my portion of food was terribly small especially the veggies with mostly onions. When we complained they came out with an extra bowl of veggies but no reduction in our bill. It was very disappointing and definitely not worth the price. I hope this is not the direction this restaurant is heading with increased prices with smaller portions. read more

What can I say, the staff , food , atmosphere. It's just a great place to go and relax, with civil regulars always willing to chat. I've been going there since the opening. The manager Sharon is one of the nicest people you'll ever meet. The bar staff is on point with anything you can up with. I'm here right now!.my favorite is the crispy walnut shrimp order rice is does not come with it. Hibachi I go filet scallops meal. Delicious! read more

Came here for dinner at night. There were a lot of open seats which was nice, no need to wait. The seats were comfortable and I got a booth table. I ordered the spicy salmon nachos, it was tasty and spicy, but it was a little small. I like how they use the sour cream and onion Pringles which complimented the taste. I also ordered the tempura appetizer, it was OK. It was very doughey. I probably wouldn't order that again. However, the sweet soy sauce that came with it was really good. I got the eel and avocado roll, that is always good. read more

I have come here off and on for a number of years now... and I have yet to have a bad experience dining here. I usually come for dinner, and last night was no exception. A great time overall and no complaints. A friend of mine and I went for dinner last night around 7pm and were immediately seated in a booth. The table and area were very clean and well kept. Our waitress came over within a minute or two to take our drink orders. I got a soda which was definitely flat. As soon as I said something she immedietately replaced it and brought me another one that was perfect. I ordered the hot & sour soup along with the Dragon & Phoenix (General Gau chicken and General Gau shrimp - a must try!) The soup came out first; fresh and hot, and delicious. The main entree was also great. The portions were large and I had to take about 30% of it home (which I finished for lunch today). My friend got scallion pancakes, beef fried rice and... I forget his entree :) But no complaints from him either. He also had plenty to take home in a doggie bag. Our check came promptly when we were finished, and the entire experience was smooth and seamless. A very nice dinner overall. Pricing: I'll say this: it's not cheap. But also, I don't feel like I'm getting ripped off either. Given the portion sizes that I've gotten each time, it seems like you are truly getting what you pay for. The atmosphere is nice and their portions do run pretty large (at least the food that I order). I haven't really done sushi here before so I can't speak on that. If you are on the fence about this place given the fact that the reviews seems a little all over the place on here... I'd say give them a try. I honestly have yet to be disappointed, and this is a spot I always think of when wanting to grab Chinese / Japanese for dinner. :) read more

We have been coming here since they opened years ago. The owner is the nicest person and she is always working hard to help her staff wherever she is needed. Came in midday on a weekday it was pretty open, the lighting was nice and the music was not too loud. I was sat quickly and the front staff was very friendly. I ordered a Lemon Drop to start, the presentation was super cute and it was very refreshing. For the entree I asked the waitress some questions about what I should get and she was very patient and answered everything, in the end she suggested to try both the Eel and the fish I should get a Chirashi with an Eel roll and it shouldnt be too much. I took her advice on that one, the Chirashi came with miso and a salad, both very good and I am obsessed with the dressing for the salad. My one note at this point is that the menu is a little confusing to navigate at first. The Eel roll came first and it was absolutely delicious, the Eel was tender and savory, the avocado was fresh and creamy and there was just the perfect amount of crunch. As for the Chirashi I will admit it was much smaller than I thought for the price and the bowl was a weird shape that was difficult to get all of the rice out of but tbe food itself was incredible, the fish is fresh and practically melts in your mouth. In the future I will probably just got for a roll and some sashimi but I absolutely will be back. read more

I'm going to keep this short. The food was solid. The scorpion bowl that I had left me sober which shouldn't happen after you drink a scorpion bowl. I didn't have the sushi but my girl did and she said it was "pretty good" which could mean good or great I'm not even sure. The service was average at best. Everything about this place is just average honestly. Though they do dress it up to be a fancy Asian cuisine establishment. Don't be fooled, it just like your local Chinese food restaurant you order takeout from. Also, creepy guy sitting at a table near us was staring at my girl and eavesdropping on our conversation about our romantic evening the night before. I almost had to throw hands. read more

With many nearby Chinese restaurants closing, I've returned to Taka after not going there for several years. The Chinese food has vastly improved from my memory and the sushi quality is very good, and can be even exceptional at times! I have recently dined in as well as gotten takeout - dishes like mein fun, pan fried Peking ravioli, chicken wings, yang chow fried rice all tasted authentic and delicious during recent visits. Ordering their sashimi and combo sushi sets have made for some delicious meals and sashimi was very good quality. Their menu is pan Asian so I can't speak for the other more Americanized Asian dishes they offer like chop suey which is not my speed. I wish they'd offer a noodle soup option (like nabeyaki udon or wonton noodle soup). Otherwise definitely recommend!!! read more

Love their fresh sushi (Lady in Pink/Red). I visit at least once a week and I never been disappointed. This feels like my "Cheers" home. Ana, in the bar, will remember your name and preferences. I just come in she asks "the usual?" And in a few minutes I'm having the most delicious fresh fish. The owners, Sharon and James, work there all the time. They make sure your food is to your liking and will make things right if not. The Live music on Fridays is a nice plus. Bar will get packed so I advise you to get there by 7:30p Update: now with Trivia night on Mondays read more

Terrible service. Literally the worst in any hibachi style restaurant in my life. Food was average to terrible (not fresh), which is easy to understand because the spot was empty on a Saturday. I had to get up and ask for basic items 3x as did the other family we were sitting with. Avoid this place! Bad service, food, staff, responsiveness and cost (yes not cheap here either). read more

It was a very pleasant experience having lunch here with family , which makes all the difference when creating memories . The Waitress was very friendly and patient when trying to select stuff from the Menu which is very large a plus with tons of variety but can be tough to decide including good variety of sushi as well and lunch specials including sushi on weekdays that id like to try sometime . I ordered the Vegetable Tempura and liked that they had a meal- version so you got soup and a salad which a delicious creamy sriracha dressing to go not just a tiny appetizer, very reasonable for the price with a variety of veggies in other places have had limited broccoli which is my favorite . The sizzling beef dishes also very substantial for a couple of meals and included rice . The service was excellent , weren't waiting long at all but also not so fast we weren't couldn't converse first and enjoy 1st part of the meal course 1st. The atmosphere was very nice , blue painted rooms and nice dim lights in our own private area weren't crammed in with screaming babies etc so we all relax . The waitress also returned the Check to make sure , we didn't pay too much admire the honesty and obviously Tipped well appropriately to the service we received . Wouldn't definitely go back, on own or with family !, and try the blue drink my Stepfather ordered to read more

First time trying Taka today for lunch. It was excellent. We had the egg rolls, fried gyoza, and scallion pancakes. All amazing. Not greasy at all. For the entree we had the orange chicken and general gau chicken with veggie fried rice. So good. Cooked to perfection. Our son had the salmon rolls and loved them. Also the drinks were good and tasty. Had a regular Mai Thai and a clear Mai Thai. Service was excellent. Price was expected. Definitely gonna be going back. read more

Expensive for the quality and quantity of food. ~$20 for one order of general guas... GTFO. The take out is the worst. Ordered takeout from here tonight. Food was ok, but not impressed. Ordered dumplings, assorted #2 (beef teriyaki, egg roll, crab rangoons, chicken fingers), orange chicken and a house salad. The bad: You know how your order is usually separated in the takeout bag by layers of cardboard? Ours was, but one of the pieces was from a cardboard box of frozen pork dumplings. Definitely disappointed to know that the the food we had ordered wasn't made fresh. The chicken fingers were crispy on the outside but inside they were very doughy/wet, like they hadn't been cooked quite long enough. The good: the ginger dressing on the house salad was tasty. Beef teriyaki was tender. The average: the egg roll, crab rangoons, and orange chicken. read more

We went today, 1st time ever the Habachi was awsome good experience, my 10 yr old had fun because the cook made him part of the show

Went there to celebrate a graduation with a party of 10 at a hibachi table the food, drinks and service were all 5 star, been going for years celebrating many events and just for the fun of it. We love it!!! The only downfall and it had nothing to do with the restaurant was that a flock of bitter KARENS were at the table behind us and the Alpha Karen, told us to keep quiet. Last time I checked when the chef is banging the spatula, squeezing the Sake into someone's mouth you clap and have a good time with it. Dear Karen, lighten up, life's to short read more

Not sure where all the fives are coming from. Only tried the Chinese so far, and it's the typical suburban variety, presented more beautifully (flowers on the plate!) but a little short on taste and portion for the price. Dumplings were cold and almost certainly a frozen product (the retry was better), then one of the entrees was also cold. A pleasant looking space, more upscale than you'd expect and much larger inside than what you'd expect. Service was somewhat chaotic but the effort was there. It's still a welcome addition to the area, so I'd give Taka another try down the road once the kinks are ironed out. read more

We were returning from a weekend getaway and actually pulled in looking for something to munch on for the rest of the drive home when the logo caught our eye and we said sushi and Chinese, why not? Ordering online was easy enough. The email said it would be 20 minutes. We waited about 25 and then went to restaurant and were a bit confused on how to pick up our order but luckily the hostess came out and said it'd be right out. It was super hot so waiting around an additional 5 minutes while not really a long time felt like forever. We brought the food home and were dying to try it as it smelled so good on the short ride. The star of the pupu platter was the crab rangoon. Delicious and so light. I would order that again for sure. The rest of the platter was your standard fare - egg rolls that were dry, tons of pork strips, beef and chicken teryiaki (also dry), greasy chicken fingers and pretty good chicken wings. I wish we'd ordered a side of fried rice. The sushi was a super disappointment. We got the Boston roll and the rice was dry and the filling tasted nonexistent. Waste of money as it was pretty inedible. For around $30, not sure we got great value for our money. So many Chinese places to pick from that I don't think we'd return again. read more

I love this place. The scallion pancakes are to die for. it;s also easy to place an online order and pick it up in 20 minutes But most of all their hostesses and host are amazing, very nice, happy to answer questions in a friendly and concise manner and they usually have 2 of them working at once so you're not left standing. Good classy ambiance if you want to eat-in, too. Parking is pretty good (large commons area for multiple businesses) and right off the interstate. 5 stars. read more

Sushi here is pretty poor. The American style Chinese is pretty good, kabachi also worth doing but pricey.

TAKA My review will be based on a series of extremely mathematically and scientifically calculated scales out of 5. MENUS - 4.5/5 (5 being most futuristic) They had 3 iPads strapped together with some sort of adhesive tape that made ordering extremely MYSTIFYING. CONFUSION SCALE - 4/5 (5 being extremely confusing) They have two menus: hibachi and normal dinner menu. If you sit by the hibachi, they refuse to give you access to the normal dinner menu. This created an IRREPARABLE SCHISM because half our party wanted hibachi, and the other half wanted a sushi boat. We were told it was IMPOSSIBLE to serve a sushi boat on the hibachi side. The feud between hibachi and sushi has apparently been long-standing; the conflict involves infinite nuances that made understanding it INCONCEIVABLE. To say the least, we were confused, and I fear that the Hibachi-Sushi War will rage on for years to come. THAI ICED TEA 2/5 The Thai iced tea did not meet the standard I typically expect of my Thai iced teas. I believe they actually just poured DASANI's new "Thai-iced-tea-flavored water" into a mason jar with ice. The volume measured in at approximately 4.3 cubic inches, a very small serving. The only positive about the small quantity was that I did not have to endure drinking that much of it. STRAWS 2/5 The straws come pre-chewed, and they are made of some new, SPACE-AGE, helium infused plastic. They refuse to stay in your cup, floating to the top and falling out, because of their extreme lack in density. This was INFURIATING. By the end of dinner, mine was hovering at the ceiling like Charlie and Grandpa Joe after ingesting the Fizzy Lifting Drinks. SPINNABILITY OF EGG 5/5 The highlight of the night was easily watching the hibachi chef spin an egg. Oh how that egg spun. I have not witnessed such GRACE and PASSION since Oksana Baiul during her 1994, gold medal winning, Olympic free skating performance. Ordered takeout from here yesterday amidst the coronavirus craziness, got chicken lo mein, chicken wings, boneless ribs, spring rolls, kung pao beef, and white rice. The good: Chicken wings were good, seasoned well, and crispy. The meh: The boneless ribs were superbly overdone to the point that they were hard. Not terrible, but not a lot of flavor in them either. The bad: The lo mein had ZERO salt in it, it tasted like someone boiled spaghetti and threw three slices of chicken breast, a few onion strands, and a piece of shredded carrot in and called it a day. There was not a lot to this. The absurd: Never received my spring rolls, and the prices, damn...the prices are absurd for the portions you get. 12 dollars for 5 chicken wings? 13 dollars for flavorless spaghetti with barely any meat or veggies? I think not. Granted, I saw the prices ahead of time, but I was hopeful this was some quality grub. It...was not. Overall, I won't be ordering from here again. I can pay much less for "American" Chinese food that at least tastes better or gives more portions. For the money I spent, I could have fed a family of 9 at any other Chinese place in the area. read more
