Nice place, clean. Food is what I'd expect at an even more expensive restaurant - delish! Fresh and very nicely presented. No-nonsense

Worst service, unprofessional, the food is terrible. The only good thing are the alcoholic drinks so you forget how bad the food is.

The sushi bar is good. Most of the food is okay. The top gun is stronger than the mai tai, you can make it a double.

Terrible food was bland and old. Everything was all dried up like it had been reheated several times. A total disappointment.

The green tea had a taste that was unpleasant. I have had green tea before but this was weak and bitter. I ordered medium rare teriyaki and waitress wrote " beef teriyaki" but forgot to write down the medium rare part . Soon after the order was placed the cook asked how it was supposed to be cooked. Someone said " medium". That is what I received medium. I told the waitress, she took the entire plate, of meat , rice and broccoli back. Returned with very rare beef teriyaki. I sent it back again and it came back correct. However, it had original vegetable and rice that were lukewarm. I think the cook was unhappy , that meal was returned several times. Later on that night , I felt stomach ache. I vomited up the entire meal and also had diarrhea. Maybe it is not food poisoning , but it sure felt like it was due to the timing. I googled it and those are the symptoms of food poisoning. I am hoping it is a stomach flu because Yamato has a good reputation.

Reviews here seem pretty split, so here's a balanced perspective…read more My family has been coming to Asian Imperial for about four years. Before moving to Lunenburg we lived in Groton where we had an excellent Chinese restaurant 2 towns over. so when we moved here we tried basically every Chinese place in Fitchburg, Leominster, and Lunenburg looking for something comparable. Out of all of them, Asian Imperial is the best option locally, but it's definitely not the best Chinese food overall. The place has two sides to it: the bar and the restaurant. The bar is excellent. Large U-shaped granite bar, good high-top seating, friendly bartenders, and strong drinks. Honestly 9 out of 10 times we come here it's for the bar, not a full dinner. Crab rangoons and lighter bar food are solid. The bar experience is easily 10/10. The main food menu is more average. It's definitely better than the typical shopping-plaza Chinese takeout nearby (over-fried chicken, dark greasy fried rice, etc.), but the food itself is generally pretty bland and not very memorable. It's decent, sometimes good, sometimes just okay. For context, my family eats Chinese food almost every weekend and we've tried a huge number of places across Eastern MA and Southern NH. I also try to judge restaurants by the whole experience (atmosphere, staff, drinks, cleanliness) not just one dish. My family owns a restaurant so I try to judge restaurants by the whole experience not just one dish. Taking everything into account, 3/5 feels fair. Clean restaurant, good staff, great bar, and decent food. Around this area, that actually stands out. If you want excellent Chinese food and are willing to drive, go to Lilac Blossom in Nashua, NH (11/10). But locally, Asian Imperial is the best option we've found.

Eh. I found it to be extremely underwhelming…read more I ordered shrimp and broccoli. The brown sauce was lacking in flavor and it was very bland...almost flavorless. The portion itself had a generous portion of shrimp. I wouldn't order again.

Sushi-forward pan-Asian eatery right in the center of town on Main Street. Decent atmosphere (more…read morebistro yearnings than a "joint"), friendly service, and just-okay food if not getting sushi. First visit in a few years: -- Salt and Pepper Wings: Small, fried, seasoned, and unsauced, with jalapeños and such for assistance. Decent tenderness and moistness, but light on flavor without the jalapeño and a little bland despite the name. -- General Tso Wings: One fewer wing, but much larger ones, with a sweet, thick sauce, good crunch, and decent moisture underneath. No heat to counter the sweet, but that's the case for most General Gao or Tso these days. Still very solid. -- Teriyaki Salmon: Lunch special with choice of salad or soup, choice of Rangoons or gyoza, and choice of white or fried rice. The salmon itself was sensible of size, but dry inside and topped with a gloppy sweet sauce that helped the dryness but not the cause. The gyoza were small and most likely frozen. Overall, seems like going to an Olive Garden that happens to be serving Asian cuisine. I've been a few times before, with similar thoughts (and half the coworkers I've gone with agree, and half love it). Pleasant enough, and easy street parking, but I don't see myself rushing back. Maybe sushi is the way to go.

I got the tamago nigiri, a California roll and the shiitake roll, all of which were exquisite in flavor and look. Everything was very nice and well done. The food was also inexpensive! For an appetizer, I got seaweed salad which was good, but a little overdressed with sesame oil. For my main, I ordered salmon sashimi and it was perfection. The right temp, very fresh, excellent texture and flavor. I also ordered the dynamite roll which is expertly balanced - sweet/savory, soft/crispy, awesome flavor and texture. I would come back for that roll alone. At $15.50 per roll, it's not cheap, but it's 100% worth the cost. The don curry was also really good and my friend said she'd come back for this dish any time she's in town. She actually ordered curry to try to recreate this at home while we were waiting for the check. Service was fast and friendly. We have nothing but great things to say about it. Next time we will try hibachi.
