Great staff. Awesome BIG bar and Best Mai Thais in New England! Generous pours on wine. Ask about the secret menu! They have everything you could want from a Chinese restaurant plus American staples like pizza, burgers, salads even teriyaki salmon, tots, delicious salt & pepper chicken and more.** Highly recommend!

Yee's Village Restaurant is a very old school Chinese restaurant and lounge with a divey atmosphere. The dimly lit lounge offers a fully stocked bar with TV, seating at the bar and tables nearby. There's also a separate dining area in the next room. The menu offers the standard Chinese fare as well Szechuan and Polynesian dishes. 15 Luncheon Special Plates ($4.70-$6.45) and 27 Dinner Specials ($5.70-$7.65). During Patriots games, the food is half price at the bar. While I was riding along Route 119 from NH, I decided to stop for dinner takeout at Yee's Village. I ordered the Dinner Special 19 ($7.10 plus tax): Hon Sue Gai, Pork Fried Rice, & Crab Rangoon. The food was ready in about 15 minutes. The portion of food was very generous and heavy, enough food for 2-3 people. The Hon Sue Gai was greasy and slightly overdone, which had big pieces of deep fried battered chicken meat, sauteed with mushrooms, pea pods, broccoli, and Chinese vegetables. The fried rice (brown color) was mostly firm rice with chunks of roast pork and no eggs, lacking flavor. The 4 crab rangoon triangles were good, which were crispy outside, filled with a cream cheese mixture. The food was very filling to eat, so I had some leftovers for a second dinner.

Love the food here as well as the drinks! Everything is super fresh and so tasty. Cashew chicken is my favorite (#22!) but everything I've tried has been awesome. Portions are HUGE! They always bring a second plate just so I can eat it without making a mess! Drinks are probably some of the strongest I've had at a restaurant AND still tasty! Prices are dirt cheap. A mixed drink for around 5 bucks? HUGE plate of food for under 10 bucks? Awesome. Lately they've updated the looks inside and the bar & bathrooms are looking great! And if they really wanted to crush the competition... should offer delivery!!

Their food has been fresh, and flavorful -- and in the area, consistently good Chinese food can be hard to find. Unfortunately, we need to resume cycling through other area Chinese restaurants as the situation I am going to describe below has happened on more than one occasion. Fortunately, special food preparation requests I make are not due to any severe allergies or special dietary requirements -- they are really just about personal preference. I totally understand that this is a "first world problem", and nothing to lose sleep over. But I am sharing this for those of you that MAY have medically necessary dietary requests/severe allergies, etc. My order: 1 large Wonton Soup 1 Moo Goo Gai Pan 1 General Tsao's chicken (NO Veggies please) 1 Roast Pork Fried Rice (NO Veggies/Onions, only Roast Pork and Egg). 3 Steak Teriyaki 1 Bottle of Diet Coke Hot Mustard Duck Sauce Ginger Soy Sauce I was pleased to see that the General Tsao's chicken for my son had no veggies, as requested. Unfortunately, the Roast Pork Fried Rice had MORE than enough vegetables for both the General Tsao's AND the Fried Rice combined -- so two family members would not eat -- and it was specifically ordered for their lunches only. The Diet Coke I received was a 16oz Bottle and NOT a typical 20oz Bottle. I probably should not have assumed that a $3.00 of Diet Coke would be 20oz, so that's my bad. But 16oz bottles are not packaged for individual sale and at $3.00 it quite a bit of markup. Mistakes happen, no big deal - but when one does an online order AND leave a generous gratuity for whomever coordinates getting the order to the kitchen and to the counter, I would expect that the order would be double-checked/confirmed to be accurate. When I arrived today at the typical lunchtime (12:30pm EST), my order appeared to be the only Take Out order waiting to be picked up, and the dining room and bar were not crowded. So while honest mistakes happen, as I mentioned -- it's clear that someone was able to see/accommodate the special request for the General Tsao's, they should have accommodated the fried rice request or contacted me to see if I still wanted it. The food I had (no special requests for mine) was fresh and delicious. My finicky vegetable and onion hating folks won't eat the rice and turned their nose up at the 16oz bottle of Diet Coke (which they have always done, saying the taste of the soda between the two bottle sizes just isn't the same -- no idea if that's true but they swear it is). Special Dietary Requests? Make sure you either Call and/or triple check before you leave the restaurant so you don't get all the way back to your house (a different town) before you find out and have some hungry, disappointed folks to deal with.

Before moving to Lunenburg we lived in Groton where we had an excellent Chinese restaurant 2 towns over. so when we moved here we tried basically every Chinese place in Fitchburg, Leominster, and Lunenburg looking for something comparable. Out of all of them, Asian Imperial is the best option locally, but it's definitely not the best Chinese food overall. The place has two sides to it: the bar and the restaurant. The bar is excellent. Large U-shaped granite bar, good high-top seating, friendly bartenders, and strong drinks. Honestly 9 out of 10 times we come here it's for the bar, not a full dinner. Crab rangoons and lighter bar food are solid. The bar experience is easily 10/10. The main food menu is more average. It's definitely better than the typical shopping-plaza Chinese takeout nearby (over-fried chicken, dark greasy fried rice, etc.), but the food itself is generally pretty bland and not very memorable. It's decent, sometimes good, sometimes just okay. For context, my family eats Chinese food almost every weekend and we've tried a huge number of places across Eastern MA and Southern NH. I also try to judge restaurants by the whole experience (atmosphere, staff, drinks, cleanliness) not just one dish. My family owns a restaurant so I try to judge restaurants by the whole experience not just one dish. Taking everything into account, 3/5 feels fair. Clean restaurant, good staff, great bar, and decent food. Around this area, that actually stands out. If you want excellent Chinese food and are willing to drive, go to Lilac Blossom in Nashua, NH (11/10). But locally, Asian Imperial is the best option we've found.

From the time they reopened after a brief closure about a year and a half ago, quality has been good--more at all star level than hall of fame level, but always good. But things recently took a step up. I learned they have a new chef. On my most recent lunch visit I went with a combo and an add-on of a side of lobster sauce. Sweet and Sour Chicken: Average size, average batter, but crisp and well-above-average meat-to-batter ratio. None of the typical separation of chicken from shell. This last part was a noticeable step up from previous visits, where the fingers have always been good, but not this good. Also, stepping up was the sweet-and-sour sauce, which was darker and more complex than the only-sweet fire engine red model I've come to expect. Very pleasing and near-elite. Pork Fried Rice: Fresh, fluffy, warm, and studded with fresh pork mini cubes, along with onion and egg. What it wasn't was dark and bold. Maybe I'm cursed with being too hard to please or cursed with a good memory of how many dozens if not hundreds of times I've been blessed by superbly darkened and flavored rice in the past. Despite not being dark enough to compete with the past, it competes well with the present competition, easily coming in above average. Egg Roll: Another item that's always been good, but today, very good. Warm, crisp, and a moist and crunchy blend of cabbage and celery, with some dots of pink. Well above average, this time flirting with near-elite. Lobster Sauce: I've had mixed experiences at Singapore with this dish, which has always been at least good but has varied in darkness, saltiness, and gloppiness. This time, as a whole order rather than on a combo, it came in with more whole black beans than typical, good black bean flavor, zero saltiness, zero glop, and more of a chestnut brown color than darkest near-black brown. A pretty good compromise; it's like they knew how far to ramp up the flavor and then stopped before it got out of hand, as can happen when lobster sauce starts looking like WD40. Near-elite. Very strong showing that's the best overall visit I've had there. I'm not sure how repeatable it is, but I plan to find out soon.
