The South Indian foods were flavorful and nice heat to it. The staff very friendly. Servers help each which was really nice to see. Comfortable chairs and leather benches. Great family prices. Highly recommend! read more

Very clean! Fast service, but sometimes you need to get their attention. NICE portions and good pricing! Very family oriented place! Food is fresh and comes out hot! If you enjoy spicy make sure to let them know because they didn't think I could handle my spice and gave me a mellow spice :( read more

been here a few times now. it's a great restaurant. the flavors rock the taste palettes. i do find it on the saltier side. the dosas are the absolute best. probably the best i've had in the states. they're crispy yet soft. but you have to eat them quick otherwise it loses that tenacity. we've had the milkshakes and falooda, both are nice, not super sweet which is great. read more

Very disappointing experience. A few years ago, the staff was extremely rude and the customer service was poor. The food quality was also below expectations. Although they now seem to be trying to be more polite and attentive, it feels superficial. Instead of focusing on surface-level friendliness, the owner should seriously focus on improving the food quality and consistency. Good service cannot compensate for average food at high prices. I would not recommend this place to others. There are far better options available. I suggest people consider other restaurants before choosing this one. read more

Honest is our go-to spot for authentic Indian food. The dishes here taste just like Indian street food, which we love. Whether it's the fried rice, chaat, or naan, everything is delicious. On our latest visit, we ordered fried rice, paneer butter masala, garlic naan, a cheese sandwich, and pav bhaji. The pav bhaji, toasted in butter, was perfectly crispy and flavorful. They even serve paan, which is a great bonus for me. The only downside is that the restaurant is a bit pricey. read more

I am a happy Honest vegetarian customer. Had used this restaurant in the past over a year ago. Got a meat to-go for some family members m. The masala dosa mysore meals were just ok. They were not seasoned enough and did not taste like dosas I have had in the pasta. They were not over cooked but they were missing something. The Dosa was a good and heated size. They only need more of the Masala sauce and more spice. They other meals we ordered very good and had good portions. Please improve those meals for me to try again. Thx read more

We have tried a bunch of their dishes over the past few years and the food is hit or miss. Some dishes are great, some average and some absolutely no good. The service is generally good. *Paper Dosa was average. The chutneys that came with the dosa was good and so was the sambar. *Rava Onion Chili Dosa was really good. Their potato masala was also tasty. *Paneer Kadhai was really good - but for $16.99 the portion is on the smaller side compared to other Indian restaurants in the area and they do not even serve rice with the curry. *Garlic naan was delicious but again smaller portion for the price. *Dahi poori is usually good, unless they are super busy. *Faluda is overpriced but always in demand because not a lot of Indian restaurants have this on the menu. The taste is okay as long as you have it fresh, take out is not as enjoyable. *The cauliflower Manchurian looked good in the photo but the looks are deceiving. It was too dry and the pieces were too big and raw. The con of eating here is the inconsistency. We have ordered the same dishes over different times, and each time they taste different. This goes for chaat as well, which just baffles me. Sometimes the Chaat's are well put and tasty and sometimes it feels like there was a storm in the kitchen and the ingredients were literally thrown together on the plate. Overall the food is average and most dishes are slathered in butter and over-seasoned. Not a place I can go to often because of the greasy food. read more

This place will satisfy all your street food cravings! From indo-Chinese to bhaji and sandwiches, they have to all! There is usually a wait time but it goes fast as their service is very fast. We got a bunch of different things including their famous sandwich, pav bhaji, noodles and a paratha. Needless to say we were not able to finish most of it and had to take a lot of the food home. read more

Service was very terrible!!!! We had 7 people and plates for 7 but silverware and napkins for 4., asked for three more settings and got two more. Asked a second time for more settings. Biggest problem was two meals of the seven guest came out about 15 to 20 minutes after the first meal delivered. The first 5 had completed their meals before the last two arrived. We inquired several times about the missing meals and the restaurant was unapologetic about that late meals and we should expect the same service in the future. They cannot coordinate when meals arrive. Food was good but I will not be returning to experience terrible service. The Waltham mass location doesn't seem to live up to the founders published expectations. read more

I can't comment on the food quality - because their lack of service prevented us from getting any. ;-) In short, we came during their advertised "Open" hours, and were told that they are "on break". Naturally, our only option was to leave for a place that's actually open when they announce so. I don't think we'd be visiting this place anytime soon. read more

Excellent service - server was nice, attentive and food was ready quickly. We tried a number of dishes all of which were good The rava dosa was a bit oily for my taste but still fine. Hakka noodles and Gobi Manchurian were a big hit. Samosa chat was ok with regards to taste but presentstion sure was nice. Dahi Puri was finished quickly as it was perfect in taste. Mango and sweet Lassi were thick. It was nice to have them on the thicker side and with out ice. read more

Like any franchise you expect the food to be consistent. Glad to know Honest in MA did not disappoint. I have had the opportunity to eat Honest in Edison, NJ, and Hillside Ave, New York. Order a mix of Indo-Chinese, Bombay Street Food, and South Indian! Their Hakka noodles were great! Not salty or drenched in soya sauce at all and were generous with the vegetables (highly recommend). Their Bahubali sandwich absolutely matches the name Bahubali! It's huge and can be shared with 2 people. As for the paper dosa, wished it was cooked a little more, parts looked and tasted uncooked but the sambar was 10/10 with great flavor and consistency. Service was great. Fast quick and no issues. Ambiance - Family friendly, can be loud at times and Bollywood music playing on the tv. read more

Getting a 5-star rating from this Yelp-elite is hard-ball since I weigh in a lot of factors towards my rating. Honest India kitchen was able to achieve. If you wanted to have the best chaat (street-side) food in the Boston area, this is the only place! This place is filled with variety of chaat and with their crazy innovation, they standout. The wait-time would say it all. Been here 4 times, will continue visiting. Kudos! Been to this place multiple times and loved the food! Overall this is a very good restaurant, they have a good system of taking orders and the turnaround is pretty quick. With so many takeout orders, they are always on their toes. Well, I never ordered a takeout, so I don't know how fast your food is ready for pickup, but if you dine in, you won't have to wait for too long. A large shared parking lot in front of the restaurant always helps. Restrooms are decent. The menu is HUGE and I still want to try their Punjabi Thali and lot of other items. So, I am definitely going to visit again several times! I am from Mumbai, so my list below should help you if you too are from around Mumbai. What I loved: - Indian Style Bhakri Pizza - Dahi Puri - Sev Puri - Chinese Bhel - Masala Papad - Manchurian - Manchow Soup - Triple Schezwan Rice - Palak paneer and other North Indian Curries What could be better: - Pav Bhaji read more

Nice restaurant to eat dosa, sandwiches, dahipuri. Rest is ok food. Dahi puri must be total count 8 instead of 7 that's not match with price, over priced. Punjabi food is not good I don't like, paratha is so hard and burned. Falooda is tasty but over priced. read more

The ambiance is generally lacking with the obnoxious typical bollywood music affixed to the back wall. The food itself was not okay. We all ordered different dosas. They were all tasty but also very greasy. The reason I don't give 4 stars is because while the service was also okay, when we got our bill, the server charged 20% gratuity without letting us know and when called out on wanting to adjust our tip since it was included already, they did not let us make that change. It's not a very honest way to conduct business. read more

My wife loves this place; I can't figure out why. I think it's solidly mediocre. Everyone's friendly and helpful - if you can get their attention. This place is always packed! It's often taken us longer to get someone to give us our check so we can leave then for us to get our food... Having said that, I've not been impressed by the menu but I think foodies from India like it. Again, the staff is great but this place is small, slightly cramped and always busy. read more

The food here is quite good. We tried the hakka noodles, veg jaipuri, dosa and chur chur naan. The pan is tasty as well and the service is prompt. Not a deal breaker - but the only complaint I have is that the couches are so uncomfortable, they don't seem to have back support so if the person sitting behind you leans back, you get pushed ahead. read more

So many varieties and tastes reminds of the local joints in India. Pav Bhaji is the dish which took the spotlight of the dishes we tried. Also liked the pani puri. The Pulav was on the spicer side for me but hubby liked it. Didn't like the dahi puri much, maybe cos if some chutney in it. Noodles tasted good but felt was too oily. They do have a wait time but we just entered before the rush hour and were offered table immediately but people after us had to wait for quite some time. Will return for more dishes. read more

I rarely leave reviews and I've been to so many Indian street food restaurants and this has been by far the best. The food is super high quality and authentic. Definitely no where close to the popular Gujrat's food chain Honest. Ordered papri chaat and pav bhaji, both were too salty with no flavor.

Delicious and well made food. Never had such a large Dosa! They serve all their drinks in paper and plastic cups - which was unusual but the Chai tea was also excellent. Located in a nice shopping plaza with plenty of parking. Honest has some good Indian food. The portions were kind of on the small side, and kind of expensive but I use GrubHub so it was marked up.
