So this week was our anniversary and we headed to our favorite place in Nashua. When we arrived they were on vacation. Thankfully, though, Yelp saved the day once again. After reading reviews for this restaurant we decided to give it a try. We were pleasantly greeted and seated very quickly. I do not remember the name of our server but we asked him for recommendations and he was not only able to give us a quick run down of their quite extensive menu, but help us pick exactly what we were looking for. I know our dishes had names but without the menu I couldn't tell you what they were, but everything was delicious!! I ordered a chicken dish from the grill and my husband ordered a lamb dish with gravy. We ordered the garlic lavash bread and another with honey. They were beyond amazing. The complimentary appetizer was a wonderful touch, too. The restaurant was open and spacious with plenty of seating. I can imagine it gets a bit loud when it's full. The bathroom seemed very clean as did the restaurant itself. I guess I now have a second favorite restaurant in Nashua. Guess next time we dine in Nashua I'll have to flip a coin!

First time going there for takeout. Loved it. Greeted by very friendly staff. Food was deliciously spicy. Event get free dessert with a note saying thank you for your business! What a nice surprise! Will definitely go back!!!

Took the Mrs. here on a Wednesday night. First impression wasn't great as we were the only guests in the restaurant at 6pm . We had a waitress that was in training so I won't harp too much on the service, though it was dead silent because there was no music playing. The drinks were very strong, got my girl pretty drunk off two which is a win for me financially. The food was absolutely amazing. The chicken tikka was the best I've ever fucking had. And look at me..... I'm a chicken tikka kinda guy. I've had them all. The app was good too. I recommend this place for takeout 100%. Dine in is fine if you're into eating alone in an Indian restaurant.

I ordered takeout from Himalayan Curry House over the weekend, which opened last week. At the time of this review, it was takeout and delivery only (due to covid) even though the dining room was redone and a new bar was built near the front door. This space in Sun Plaza has been home to several previous Indian restaurants over the years. I ordered the Chicken Korma ($13.99) and Vegetable Samosas ($4.99 for 2), which was ready in 20 minutes after ordering. However, when I went to pickup my order, I noticed they gave me Malai Kofta ($14.99) instead of Chicken Korma, which I explicitly ordered and repeated. Since this order was already in the system, they decided to charge me for the Malai Kofta and the Samosas, which was $21.78 total, $1.09 more than the original total, but they gave me the freshly cooked Chicken Korma (waited 8 more minutes) at no extra charge and complimentary Kheer (rice pudding). They did apologize for the misunderstanding, which I think the person ordering before me ordered the Malai Kofta since I heard it. I enjoyed my 2 entrees, samosas, and rice pudding outside at my home. The chicken korma was very good, which had tender chunks of boneless chicken, cashews in smooth tomato & onion sauce (mild as requested). The kofta dish had soft potato/paneer balls in a creamy red sauce. The big samosas were filled with potato, peas, & seasonings in a deep fried pastry shell. The kheer (rice pudding) was milky and not too sweet. When indoor dining is allowed again in New Hampshire, I will stop by for lunch, especially if the buffet will be offered as stated on their menu.

    More oil and crappy packaging

Horrible. It hit rock bottom. They've been charging extra for dipping sauces that used to be free. The pic below is how our samosas were packaged to go; crammed in paper bags allowing the oil to deep through. It won't be long before they're closed for good

Awesome spot! So many vegetarian options and delicious food. I ordered the navratan korma and baigan bharta - mild, both very good! And truly mild. I will probably get medium next time. The vegetable samosas were very good, filling was rich and flavorful. Staff was very polite and social distancing/covid precautions were very professional.

Garlic naan, lamb kadhai, white rice and butter chicken (takeout order)

We decided to order takeout one chilly evening and our choice was this Indian Restaurant because it had such great reviews. We ordered butter chicken, garlic naan, butter naan, shrimp pakora and lamb kadhai. Everything was absolutely delicious with the exception of the butter chicken which was a little heavy on one flavor (yogurt maybe?). The shrimp were fried and super crispy even though they had to travel to our house is a takeout container. The real standout of all the dishes though was the lamb kadhai. To me it tasted like a middle eastern dish called Kibbeh except instead of ground meat the dish contained large, tender chunks of lamb. I told my fiancé the next time we ordered Indian food I probably would just get that dish for myself as opposed to ordering a few different things for both of us to share. I didn't feel like we got a lot of food for the price. So for that reason and the just ok Butter Chicken I'm only giving it four stars. However we'll definitely try it again and next time we'll probably dine at the restaurant so depending on that experience maybe I'll feel inclined to bump them to five stars.

However, the red chutney spread inside was way too sour for our liking. The sambar and chutneys on the side were flavorful. *Porotta was nicely flaky and served warm. *Vada was good, but the idli tasted old and clearly reheated, not freshly made. *Veg Hakka Noodles were tasty but mostly just noodles with barely any veggies. *Andhra Special Goat Curry was excellent; flavorful with tender, well-cooked mutton. *Mutton roast Biryani was also very good, with moist, flavorful rice and perfectly cooked mutton pieces. Unfortunately, the service was extremely slow. It took 45 minutes for our food to arrive even though there were only a few other tables occupied. Our server never checked in during the entire 1.5 hours we were there. When we asked questions about the menu, she seemed completely unfamiliar with the items and couldn't give any clear answers. It felt like she was new or hadn't been trained properly, which made ordering a bit frustrating. The decor is simple and casual, similar to many Indian restaurants. The TV was playing loud music, which made the vibe a bit chaotic rather than relaxing. The food was overall good, and there's definitely potential here. But the slow service, lack of staff engagement, and poor menu knowledge made the experience less enjoyable. Hopefully, they can improve on that front because we would definitely love to come back!

The menu offerings include a variety of chats, Indian curries, dal, bhaji pav, rice & noodle dishes, sandwiches, paninis, dosas, kulches, nanns, appetizers, desi style pizzas (6"), desserts, shakes, lassis, and cold sodas. The prices are moderate high. I stopped by Choice Indian Restaurant for dinner takeout very recently. I ordered the Veg Makhanwala ($17.99 plus tax) and a Bhakhri Pizza ($11.99 plus tax), which was all set and bagged to go in about 10 minutes. I did not order basmati rice which would've been a $4.99 extra charge. Most independent Indian & Thai restaurants in the area include rice with their curries. I headed back to the house to enjoy my food. I quick boiled some macaroni (instead of rice) to go with the Veg Makhanwala. This curry dish had a mix of vegetables including peas, green beans, cauliflower, onions, bell pepper, tomatoes, and spices in a medium spicy creamy tomato sauce. This curry dish was pretty good over macaroni pasta. The Bhakhri Pizza was a 6" round hard crispy crust topped with a sweet & spicy tomato sauce, peppers, onion, and shredded cheese. This Indian pizza was a solid good appetizer with my spicy curry dish. Overall, the food I ordered was pretty good and prepared to my preference of mild-medium spice level. I would stop back in again to try the sandwiches and Manchurian noodle dishes.

But finally I did and boy am I happy. Very much a family affair - husband and wife who share maitre'd and server responsibilities. And other relatives in the kitchen cooking up a storm. What first grabbed my attention were the huge number of dosas they offer. Seeing any dosa on a menu at all is a rarity and so to see the wide variety they feature was amazing. I opted for the Andhra Kara Masala and it was excellent. The dosa itself crispy and warm and the condiments beautifully integrated. We opted for the mixed veggie pakoras as an appetizer on the recommendation of the owner and they were served warm and crispy. The batter was light - nothing like the thick sludge that usually adorns the deep fried nuggets of vegetable delight. The accompanying tamarind sauce was sweet and clean and the mint-cilantro suitably refreshing. Lovey got garlic naan and saag paneer. Smooth and creamy, the saag was exactly as hoped for and the garlic naan was chewy, warm and toothsome. Dessert was carrot halwa. Hard to believe carrots make such an excellent warm dessert but they do. Richly satisfying with just the right touch of sweetness. We look forward to returning and sampling the rest of the menu!

It's a place his dad has taken him to before and he loves it! We go for Indian food occasionally and we like it, so off we went to Salem NH. Grandson ordered a dosa for all of us as an appetizer, something with chopped onions, it was pretty good. My dish was the saag paneer, which I ordered what they call "American spicy." Spicy? Not! If I go back, I'd order Indian Medium Spicy! My husband liked his chana masala. Both were served with white rice. My son-in-law had a korma dish, I don't remember which one, Indian medium spicy, loved it, and he ordered garlic naan. We ordered roti. My grandson is gluten free and dairy free. I don't remember what he ate, but he's all in when he's predisposed to liking something, so I only remember that he was happy with it! We love the carrot halwa at our local favorite Indian restaurant in midtown Manhattan, so we ordered it for all 4 of us. It was much sweeter than we're used to; tasty but too sweet to finish. Anyway, it's a good local choice up there and my grandson chose it again just the other day for his birthday dinner out!
