Usually a great experience! Every time I go to India Palace I wonder why it has been so long since I had been there last. We have a few Indian restaurants in southern New Hampshire and few are as consistent as India Palace. Whenever I visit, I know that I will have a great meal. Though I am finally learning that when we visit for a meal, we should always SHARE an entree instead of having one of our own. There is lots of space with enough tables to feed multiple large groups. And the servers are always extremely helpful and proactive. I love trying new things by asking them for their recommendations. So far I have not been lead astray. And be certain to take your leftovers home with you! They're just as good, if not better the following day! And if you love spice, ask for your food for as spicy as they do it at home. read more

Great local spot! Beautiful inside. We're had a delicious dinner, it was shocking to see how many people got carry out vs staying here to eat. 5:30pm on a Saturday and there were only 2 other people in the restaurant with us! People - your beloved restaurant will not survive if you don't actually dine there! Food was delicious. The tandoori chicken was spot on and the dal they brought out with it was perfect. Just remember that anything on the tandoori menu takes around 30 minutes. Not to worry, we ordered another entree and an app to eat while we waited! Butter chicken and Kakori Seekh kabob. Ordered the butter chicken medium and it definitely had a kick to it! My only wish is that they played music. It was pretty quiet without it. read more

Best resturant in town with authentic indian food. decoration is so beautiful and staff are friendly

In the past decade, this restaurant has been up and down in quality. I am happy to report that it is back up to five stars now. We have done a couple lunches in the past few weeks and the food was excellent. My wife is not Indian, but she cooks great Indian food. She agrees that the food here deserves five stars. I started with a mango lassi that was thick and had a great taste. Next, I ordered the Punjabi Kadhi with medium hotness and my wife ordered the Chicken Mughlai hot. Both came with Basmati rice. It took over 15 minutes for us to get our lunch and that indicated they were cooking it rather than reheating it. The dishes looked great and the taste was really authentic. The hotness was right on target as well. We always get food that is fresh and flavorful at this restaurant. That's certainly not the case for all Indian restaurants. When you combine the food, the service, and the remodeled restaurant, this is now one of our favorite Indian restaurants. read more

Obviously a family owned enterprise which is well decorated but perhaps a bit too quiet... needs a bit of energy! Outstanding food. I Really enjoyed the baadal jam, chicken tikka Marsala, and garlic naan . Also tried my grandson's lamb yakhni and while it was tasty, the Lamb could have been a bit more tender. I used to love this restaurant, but it has gone way downhill. Worst dining experience there a few days ago. First off it was very cold in the restaurant so I had to keep my sweater on. Something on the chair back snagged my sweater 3 times and ruined it so I had to remove it. Then the rough wood on the underside of the table scratched my hand and I got a sliver in it. It took 30 minutes to get our food even though there was only another couple in the restaurant. My food was terrible. I got the Mahi Mahi and the sauce tasted like something out of a jar, there was no mango salsa and there were 2 shrimp. Didn't fit the menu description at all. The side of vegetables were obviously frozen and were mushy. Oh, and the naan was soggy and really needed salt. I will never be going here again. read more

They use actual moist meat in the chicken tikka masala and everything was very flavorful/not filled with cream. Also, there spice levels are actually spicy. The chicken tiki and chicken saag were both wonderful, the naan was great due to it being soft and buttered. The service was great and some of the best I have had seen at any restaurant. The restaurant is also very delightfully themed on the inside leading to a great ambiance. read more

The perfect location paired with an omnivorous smorgasbord ranging from best in show paneer entrees to cravable vegan appetizers make this surgically authentic downtown hometown hotspot an absolute go to wether you live near by (this location is less than a mile from our house), or are visiting. The Bindi Pyaza is literally the most amazing iteration of okra that has ever graced these cynical lips. Pro tip; order more then one. read more

Though not the first time we've visited India Palace, and though we've enjoy it every visit, this restaurant continues to get better and better. We ate here today (10/22/2023) and enjoyed it immensely, from the Samosas to the garlic Naan bread as apps to the chicken biryani and tandoori chicken each dish was a unique treat and beautifully served. We chose the medium spicy and that was perfect. Navrattan Shahi Korna, an all vegetable dish, was a new choice for us and we loved it. The food was flavorful and plentiful and the service was welcoming, professional and friendly. We highly recommend India Palace in Nashua New Hampshire. read more

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Indian Palace, and I must say, the food was absolutely delicious. We ordered the Mango Lassi as our drink of choice. We tried a variety of the dishes including Naan, lamb biryani, lamb chops, tandoori wings, chicken Samosas and the Korma were all wonderful the flavors were exquisite, portions and presentation was top-notch. We tried the House specialty Murgh Wajid Ali which I didn't like at all it was bland compared to other Indian dishes and the sauce had an overpowering ginger taste. The service was also quite attentive, making our dining experience enjoyable. The furniture in the restaurant was so beautiful I had to take a picture. Its a very beautiful set up. However, I do feel it's important to mention that the restroom experience was far from pleasant. The cleanliness left much to be desired. The toilet appeared dirty filled with toilet paper, and the sink had an unpleasant brownish tint. The mirror seemed as if it had never been cleaned, which was quite disappointing. While the restaurant's culinary offerings are outstanding, I hope they pay more attention to restroom maintenance in the future. A clean and hygienic restroom experience can greatly enhance the overall dining experience. Despite this setback, I would still recommend Indian Palace for its exceptional food, with the hope that they address the restroom cleanliness issue promptly. read more

Now this place is very interesting. The chicken Marsala is great and if you like spicy hot they definitely know how to get it there. On the other hand when you go in for lunch when they open during the week the prices can't be beat. If it's a holiday or weekend and you go in for lunch it will cost you almost twice as much for the same food so be aware of this. read more

Wanted to try a new/different Indian restaurant in Nashua ... to compare with our go-to option. Sadly, this was NOT a pleasant experience. We arrived at our reservation time of 6:30pm. We ordered by 6:40pm. Our drinks were never served until I hunted down the wait staff after 15 minutes. The appetizer was served at 7:40pm ... and HOUR after ordering. The meal followed, and it was decent/reasonable. Nothing exceptional. The Garlic Naan ... was never delivered. Had to ask to have it removed from the check. Service was horrible. Atmosphere was dank. At 8:00pm there were four other tables filled. Prior to that, we were alone int eh restaurant... with lousy attention and delayed food service. No need to return to this establishment, I am sorry to say. read more

India palace has been around a long time. I have been going there for at least 15 years. The decor is warm, and orange, and it has lots of painting of the female form in traditional garb. They used to have a buffet before this year. The owner thinks it will probably be another year after this before they can do that again. Currently there is a half off lunch offer m-f 12-3 dine in. I would check the website to see if it is still on, as I found it posted there. Some favorite items on the menu, is anything saag, mattar paneer, Chicken Tiki Marsala, the lamb is always tender here too. If you like spicy food, the hot here has a kick to it, they take a spice level on a la carte orders(yay) They also have the fancier breads available like the stuffed naan, and poori(fry bread). As a local New Hampshirite I have seen the dining scene blossom since my youth. The only non western restaurant on 101A besides Chinese food, was Chaing Mai, in the 90's. This is a great family owned restaurant, and hopefully it stays around. read more

(4/5) -saag paneer: this dish comes with homemade indian cheese submerged in creamed spinach. it was probably one of my favorite dishes that we ordered! the cheese had a great flavor that paired well with the creamy spinach, and the seasonings stood out as well. (4.5/5) -butter chicken: this dish comes with tandoori chicken simmered in a tomato and cream sauce flavored with ginger, and cinnamon. we weren't the biggest fans of this dish because it was simply too sweet for our liking, and the chicken was pretty dry as well. (2.5/5) -chicken tikka masala: you can order the tikka masala with your choice of protein, but we decided to get chicken. the tomato base really stood out with the seasonings, and it was much more savory-tasting than the butter chicken. i think i remember the chicken in this dish being less overcooked too, so that's probably another reason why i preferred this dish. Been coming hear on and off for many years for takeout and dine in, and they have recently really upped their game. The menu has significantly expanded to include some Southern Indian dishes like Masala Dosa, which was excellent. Standard dishes like Baingan Bharta and Butter Chicken were also quite good. Quality and generous portion size justify the slightly higher pricing. Only minor complaint was a computerized notice blasting throughout the dining room whenever an online takeout order was placed. Going to add this place back into the rotation of some very good ethnic eateries in the greater Nashua area. read more

We came with low expectations and were pleasantly surprised by the food. The starters were really good, the Pakoras were a highlight. For the main course we got veg biryani which was paired well with the malai kofta. The service on the other hand was not the best as there was only one member of staff working on the day we went. I love Indian food, and have had it from many restaurants all over the country. I decided to give India Palace a try because some of the reviews were very good. I ordered chicken tikka masala, butter chicken, samosas, and cheese naan. The sauce for the tikka masala was delicious, but the chicken was woody, and overly chewy. The samosas were very dry, and burnt. Completely inedible. The butter chicken had no sauce. It was just overcooked chicken chunks on top of raw onions and peppers. The naan I received was plain naan and not cheese naan, so I can't review that. We ended up only eating the tikka sauce on rice, and the naan. We were very disappointed to toss $80 of food in the trash. read more

I ordered lamb tikka Marsala but it was overcooked and dried. I told waiter but he didn't display empathy if I wanted to order something else. The sitting is extremely uncomfortable seats. Place is pretty decor but I'm disappointed with my lamb dish as I love Indian cuisine. I haven't found a decent tasty Indian cuisine place since I moved up here 3 months ago from the big city- DC. I was able to dispute with my credit card for the overcooked lamb dish as the restaurant wasn't able to compensate me. read more

Maybe their website is to blame because I waited 2 hours for my food to be delivered. At 11:58am, I ordered bread and a chicken entree for my lunch and by the time I checked out I reviewed the order (my food would be delivered by 12:58pm- fair). By 1:10pm, I had called the restaurant asking if the driver was lost. I was first told the restaurant didnt recieve my order, thought my order was placed for pick up, then asked me to call the delivery service to find out where my food was. I mentioned that my receipt states delivery, the time it was to be delivered, and that I didnt go through a third party delivery service, I went through the restaurants website. After another hour of waiting, by 2:00pm my food had arrived- room temp- and no suggested compensation to make up for their mistake. Again, maybe it was the website, but to further the poor communication, nothing was adjusted to the lack of customer service today. *UPDATE: The owner of the restaurant directly called me to sincerely apologized and took the time to have me understand the issue about their delivery service, he is issuing a full refund. read more

First time here, good place for your Indian food craving. We always go for the buffet so we can try the different dishes for a fair price. There is ample seating and the staff was quick to pick up our finished plates and to fill our water. Good selection of your Indian favorites:Tandoori Chicken, Nan, Aloo Palak etc, only wish they had a better selection of dessert(they had two for the buffet). For three people and just water the bill came to $45, a little steep for lunch, but Indian food is our favorite meal so we treated ourselves. read more

Second time dining in at India Palace... My friend wanted Indian but I actually preferred to eat next door at the newer Thai place this past visit. I typically avoid Indian for dinner, solely due to the fact that it's: 1) quite expensive 2) little portion 3) lack of variety & balanced meal. When I want Indian, I go for their buffet!!! which I haven't tried yet at this place and it looks promising, but my friend still kept pushing for dining in. To say the least, I am unimpressed. The only thing unique about India Palace is that.. it's designed and decorated to resemble an actual palace with pillars and chandeliers, murals, paintings, dinner plates (only used for decoration as they take the plate away right after you sit), and the tables & chairs are all antique handcrafted wooden and throne-like. However, the service was lackluster almost careless (as expected), had to really get service out of him, wasn't asked for drinks, desserts, or naan, or water refills although the water had a chemically taste to it. I mean I don't expect much at places like this and this is another reason why I go for Indian buffet, when in the mood. I might as well serve myself! And the ambiance itself can get old, quite dark and shady orange all over, and absolutely no music which was awkward. Was sat by the pathway that takeout customers kept constantly walking by, which I find distracting and bothersome. We ordered the house sampler appetizer, which I do not recommend. Everything so hard, almost burnt, dry, tasted similar. The various chutneys that came with the wicked salty chip-like complimentary snack helped a little, but I couldn't bare to finish. Another issue is the server waited for us to finish before asking if we were ready for the entrees, and only then he gave the okay to the chefs and so it was taking even more extra time for the food to come out. Unbelievable haha. We ordered Chicken Korma, which was great but small, and Lamb Biryani, which I actually didn't want to order but felt rushed... It was okay, nothing spectacular. And lastly the mango lassi, that only I drank, and that actually got my stomach churning and had me rushing to go home and use the restroom. It was probably old so be careful when ordering that... my friend ate the same food but he had no problems. In summary, the service needs a lot of work, ambience could use some updating, and food, especially appetizers, can use a bit of improvement. I still need to try out the buffet, which I'm sure I'd enjoy for the value, so I'll definitely be back but this is mere 3 stars for me. read more

Right off the bat I have to say this is some of the best Indian food I've had! We eat a lot of Indian food, and we prefer to order fresh rather than do the buffet because it is fresh and we can get it spicy! However, I am really interested to try the buffet here after our great meal last night. We ordered the same thing we get everywhere we go: vegetable samosas, chicken makhani for me, and chicken tikka masala for my husband. I prefer chicken makhani because it comes with tandoori chicken rather than regular, however I noticed my husbands dish had tandoori chicken in it as well- so bonus! Chicken makhani also has more flavor of spices, vs chicken tikka masala is more buttery. Both curries were incredibly well-spiced. They were thick and hearty so they stayed on the naan well. The combination of the makhani sauce with the garlic on the naan... oh man it was perfection. Speaking of flavors, my husband doesn't normally go for the chutney, but he absolutely loved them here. Also, at other restaurants I've noticed a trend of there being very little chicken in the dish... that was not the case here! There was so much that even my husband had enough for leftovers. The samosas were the best I've ever had. The outside was thick and perfectly crisp and flakey. The inside had so much wonderful seasoning, and the filling was perfectly sticky and yummy. The owner? manager? Was walking around really making sure to talk with each guest and I was really impressed. Our server was attentive even though he got pretty busy as the meal went on as more and more people came in. The restaurant itself is also very beautiful. The only thing I found odd was that there was no music or any ambient sound, and when we arrived there were very few people in there so it was super quiet and awkward. Very happy to have this wonderful Indian restaurant so close to our new home. I expect we will be regulars! read more

I stopped by India Palace in Nashua for the Lunch Buffet ($9.50 plus tax on weekdays), which offers a sampling of their popular dishes. The offerings on the buffet were standard including around 10 hot dishes (such as tandoori chicken, chicken tikka masala, chicken curry, mattar paneer, basmati rice, mint rice, fried vegetables, saag..), naan, fresh salad, raita, chutneys, mulligatawny soup, and desserts (rice pudding & mango pudding). The food was fairly spicy and had good flavors. The chicken masala was really good, as was the warm naan. The fried vegetables were a bit greasy. The rice pudding was a refreshing dessert, not milky and not too thick either and had nuts, raisins, and cardamum. The mango pudding had a sweet taste. Overall, the buffet was pretty decent, though the buffet price has increased over time. I can recall paying only $6.95 several years ago. The service was acceptable, used plates were cleared while I was at the buffet in the adjacent empty room and the water glass was topped off. read more

One of the best meals I have ever had. This was one of my all time favorite meals of my life. We got a variety order of one fish dish, one lamb dish and one chicken dish. All were cooked to perfection and incredible. I wanted to go back and review the menu and give suggestions from the menu but quickly realized that everything we had was amazing, worth getting again and trying again. The chicken was cooked like a summer BBQ with onions and peppers. The lamb like the best beef/goat stew you have ever had.
