I was searching for a taco spot nearby and this place popped up. I wanted to try somewhere I hadn't been before, so we decided to give it a shot. It was a Friday night and surprisingly pretty empty, which honestly I didn't mind at all because it made for a more relaxed experience. The ambiance was actually really nice for a casual night out. Since it wasn't busy, there wasn't a lot of noise, just light music playing in the background, and we could actually hear ourselves talk without yelling across the table. Ironically, even though I came looking for tacos, I didn't order any . We ended up getting the chicken quesadilla and the Enchiladas Lokas, and both dishes were delicious. Everything came out hot, flavorful, and satisfying. For drinks, we tried the house margarita and a tamarind margarita. I specifically asked about the tamarind because I really like that flavor and wanted it to come through more. While the margarita itself was good, the tamarind flavor kind of got lost along the way. One thing that definitely stood out was the service. Our server was attentive, helpful, and checked in on us throughout the night. New Hampshire isn't known for Mexican cuisine but Riviera Nayarit in Nashua is THE EXCEPTION! I went back 6 days after my first visit. This spacious restaurant with full bar offers chonky margaritas, complimentary chips with fresh salsa, and an extensive menu packed with authentic Mexican dishes. Gluten-free galore! Queso Dip and Esquites accompanied by fresh cucumber margaritas made for a savory and sweet jump off. For dinner, the Quesabirria was tender and juicy, complimented by a generously sized bowl of flavorful consommé for dipping. Black beans and rice side dish hit the spot. Stopped by for dinner on a Friday night for the first time. Staff was fantastic and attentive. The restaurant is clean and well decorated. The food came out quick and was delicious. We had a couple apps and shared a dinner for two that had enough for us to take home and have another meal for two. Great portions and pricing. Also strong drinks that were greatly appreciated! Tucked away on a side street in Nashua is Riviera Nayarit. Upon entering it looks like your typical Mexican-restaurant, bright colors every where and the smell of delicious food being cooked. Sadly that is all this place has to offer the service was ok a little slow in my opinion, but we will let that slide since everyone is short staffed and this could have been the case here. The menu is huge and with a menu that big usually the food is nothing to rave about and the case here was no different. The food is bland the salsa for chips is runny and tasted like it came out of a container, the guacamole was alright but nothing that your taste buds will dance for. Unless you like your Mexican food bland I unfortunately do not recommend Riviera Nayarit nor will I return. read more

Went here very soon after going to Mexico and was blown away how close it was to the food I had down there. The tacos taste pretty much how they tasted down there, they're so delicious. The rice was so good and had great flavor. This is the place to go if you want great Mexican. read more

Excellent Mexican food in the area! Service is a bit slow, but we always leave satisfied with the food. The margaritas are giant - there's a page for special margaritas as well as house margaritas. There's a lot of seafood (ceviche, aquachile, grilled and fried). Street tacos are fantastic and there is amazing heat in the house hot sauce. The elote had decent flavor but it was frozen corn so it wasn't great for that reason. The enchiladas and quesadillas were delicious and packed with protein and onions. I was surprisingly impressed to the point I have been recommending this place to everyone. A few of us were headed to an event in Nashua, Nh and needed a place without a line to get some food and a couple drinks. I came across this place on yelp. Upon arriving at 6:30 PM on a Friday night, it was pretty dead. The place smelled weird too, like cleaning products at motel. I was afraid it was going to be awful and text our group, telling them not to blame me if it was bad. While waiting for them to arrive, we ordered drinks.! They were huge and so good. A waitress walked by us with a tray of food that we eyed, it looked really really good. Our friends arrived 15 minutes later and we were ready for a second drink. Round two was just as good. My husband got some drink that came with a full can of Red Bull in it. I got a margarita with casa amigo's tequila. I was psyched they had that tequila. My friend has an onion allergy. I kind of forgot about that allergy when I chose a Mexican restaurant. Thankfully, they were able to accommodate. I got fajitas that were excellent. My only complaint is the tortillas are very small and you only get three. personally, I didn't mind but I know other people would. My husband got chimichanga's. He is extremely picky and loved them. For a picky group with two people that do not eat vegetables and the rest that love vegetables. This was a great find. Drinks were I think $13 apiece which to me is great. The last restaurant we went to, was an average restaurant and they were $20 each. Way too expensive for me. read more

We were in the area, and decided to give it a try. We walked in around 4pm and there was not a soul in there. We ordered several entrees. When the waitress brought our food out, one of our rice, beans and guacamole plates had a long black hair over it. She apologized and brought out an "new one" about one minute later, but it was certainly the same plate, with a new slice of tomato instead. Didn't fool us. Meat and veggies in fajitas seem to be consistently burned at the bottom. Guacamole(shown in photos) was at least a day old with brownish hue to it. That's something you'd expect at a gas station, but not highly rated restaurant. Pros: excellent food & drinks. Well priced and great selections all around. We split appetizer and entree and still had plenty to take home. Everything was fresh. The service was also great -very friendly and multiple team members checked on us. Cons- Karoake! The music was too loud for the bar plus dining area, speaker feedback and bad singing almost made us leave after a drink (it really was THAT off putting) but I really wanted to try the food and so we stayed. Chips (for chips & salsa) were very overcooked but seemed to be the norm. I would definitely consider going back but will always call ahead to make sure no karaoke. The salsa was terrible. No spice, basically just tomato sauce. Chips had no salt. We received civeche, despite that not being what we ordered and it came with a huge hair across the top of it. We came in just after they opened and were the only two people in the place, so it's not like they were super busy. We did eat some of it, but it was very overdone. Clearly it had been prepared in advance and sat for a long time, it was really really tough. Also, their website marks a bunch of stuff "gluten free", but despite telling them it was for an allergy, they served the dish with deep fried stuff on it that was probably not safe for a celiac to eat. The waitress went back and confirmed that it was gluten free by asking if they used vegetable oil. The staff does not understand allergy concerns. read more

We walked in and it's exactly what you would expect from a Hispanic restaurant. Lively music, welcoming staff, bright colors all around. All of the staff was incredible. Asked multiple times how our food was and if they could get us anything. I ordered the Baja Tacos - phenomenal He ordered bacon wrapped shrimp - to die for. We both got a desert, I got a banana cheesecake churro type thing and it was so delicious. He got Flan, which he's been craving for a legitimate flan forever and he was not disappointed. It's Cinco de Mayo and the place was crazy! In a good way - staff were helpful even being so overwhelmed. Ordered on the phone for take out - the poor woman could barely hear me over all the noise! Food was ready when promised. Got the empanadas, steak fajitas, and chicken wings with chips and salsa. The empanadas were tasty, as was the fajitas - the steak was over cooked and they forgot the flour tortillas, but given the day I'd give them a pass.
