When I was arriving at the location and saw a place that looked like my grandparents place, with a slightly larger parking lot), I was skeptical. However, when my buddy and I finally got inside this restaurant, we quickly realized this was a truly authentic Brazilian spot. We were first received with a warm welcome. Then we saw the buffet line stocked with some delicious authentic food (feijoada, chicken heart, Brazilian sausage, picanha, and so much more). The salad bar was in decent shape but the meats were all overdone by this late stage in the day. I would definitely return for lunch. So we met another couple here Friday Night, we parked across the street. We got in and it was a little confusing as to what or how to order, they told us to grab a plate and grab what we wanted... It appears they have different plating prices; Pay per lb on your plate Pay for a large plate, or all you can eat on this night anyway $19.99 We all said we would get the $19.99 order. Ok, so we grab some great food off the buffet line and I was happy with what selection was there, we sat down and the food was fresh made and very tasty. A variety of flavors, and diversity. Well along comes the Chef with an Excalibur Shishkabob filled with cooked meats, I was like yee haaaa he cuts it off for you and you use the provided tongs to plate it, he did this with the Beef sirloin, the Pork, the Chicken, then the Lamb! Well, I guess if you get used to and like the very uniform and uninteresting, but of course, super overpriced New Hampshire food (what you can get in Manchester, Concord, Dover, Durham, or, with some exception in Portsmith even from the so-called Brazilian or other international restaurants, like Ciao Trattoria in Durham or Gauchos in Manchester). We were not sure what to expect the first time we visited Sabor Brasil, since it was classified as Latin cuisine and that isn't something we'd tried before. For those of you who have been in the Nashua area for few years, the restaurant is located where Ya Mamma's used to be before they expanded at another location. The wait staff was very friendly and filled us in on our serving options. There are two choices, an all you can eat version and a pay by the pound version. With the all you can eat version, they put a tag on your table, and keep coming with different types of meats until you switch the tag from green to red. We went as a family of 4 and all did the all you can eat. They have a buffet style service that includes soup, a number of salad choices, rices, and different types of meat casserole type dishes. You fill a plate with these, and then they also bring barbeque style meats to your table. Sausage, brisket, chicken, tenderloin, and several others. For the more adventurous, they also have chicken hearts (not for me, but my kids tried them). Overall, the food was good, maybe a tad heavy on the salt for my taste. The all you can eat choice works if you've never been to the restaurant and want a chance to try everything. It is probably more cost effective to get the pay by the pound option if you have specific favorites or if you have tweens like we do. My 14 year old tells me this is his favorite restaurant. Good Brazilian food, real taste of Typical local dishes. Staff is amazingly friendly, I would focus on the buffet items, the churrasco, grilled meat cuts are bad, but they need some improvement. Talking about meat, the only negative point was that my 11 years old son was in a hurry and got to the meet cutting board before i could help him out with it so the guy served him the most ugly over cooked meet he had. The pork was fatty and on the bone, just as I like it. Corona beer is $3. Two beers and two plates of food came to a little over $17.00. This is a nice little family own restaurant. You can get the all you can eat buffet or pay by the pound. What is what we did and it was one of the more affordable meals of the week. A very tasty meal for my husband and me tonight on our first visit. Unbeatable prices, fresh and flavorful food, great service, very sweet people, and plenty of character. We both had the buffet, and chose bacon-wrapped chicken, rice, beans, and multiple veggie dishes. Many other types of meats were also available. There was karaoke going on (in Portuguese, with a video background that looked like Japanese gardens!). Folks were singing, via wireless mic, from their seats! We also discovered that on other nights, televised soccer is the order of the day. I wish a lot more places did this- we'd be less likely to over-order or waste food. I usually get a few fresh tomatoes, some rice, and save the rest of the room on my plate for a wide variety of freshly cooked meats. My favorite are the garlic beef, rib, and chicken wrapped in bacon. I usually order a Negra Modelo to compliment my meal. If you have room afterwards order the Flan- best in Nashua! When my inner carnivore is raging for meat, I usually try to get to a rodizio to satisfy my cravings. That's usually sufficient to tamp down my meat cravings for a while. Sabor Brasil is a tiny little place that will serve you a basic rodizio with plentiful sides for an average price. The help was all very nice. The meats were mostly plentiful, with the exception of the lamb. To their favor, we were there quite late. The meats were as salty as I find most rodizio. If there's one out there without killer sodium levels, I haven't found it yet. Two very tasty meat selections: pork with black beans and chicken, were located in the sides buffet. Overall it was a nice way to satisfy the carnivore in me. Just make sure you have plenty of water. Oh and if you can manage to go earlier, you won't miss out on anything. read more

Sabor Brasil is a local Churrascaria in Nashua. They have meat on sticks and two options to pay. Either all you can eat or you can pay by the plate (by weight). They have a buffet table with a lot of extras that you would expect: fried plantains, rice, beans and some other things like fruit and also a fish dish (looked like a stew). I was pretty pumped to find a local meat-on-sticks place in Nashua, but in the end I was disappointed by the food. Everything was either excessively dry or excessively salty or a combination of the two. Beef was still done medium, even though it was the end of the day (well done option available). Chicken wrapped in pork was very tasty, and not at all dry. Again, considering that it was closing time everything was extremely fresh. Well, almost. One of the rice side dishes was a little dry, but still good. I was very satisfied with my first experience with this place. My Brazilian churrascaria experience includes Cafe Bello in Allston, MA (sadly, no longer there) and the Midwest Grill in Cambridge/Somerville, MA; and I would say that this compares very well to both of these places. I ate there for lunch, around 11:30, 1/2 hour after the restaurant opens, so all of the food was very fresh. The buffet had plenty of options, with the standard fried plantains, black bean stew, rice, and various salads. Plantains were very well cooked, sweet but not mushy. There was a fish lasagna, which I found to be very good as well as interesting. My assessment of the meat selection is as follows: Lamb: very flavorful, cooked well-done Beef steak: Thin slice cut from the skewer, tender and flavorful, cooked medium Garlic Beef: relatively fatty cut, strong garlic flavor, cooked medium/medium-well Bacon-wrapped chicken: tender and juicy, not over cooked Sausage: Very heavily seasoned and flavorful (probably the best I've had at a churrascaria) Other meats available, which I did not try, include: chicken wings, chicken hearts, beef ribs, and a shoulder cut of beef. It's important to note that at a Churrascaria, the meat will continue to roast on the spit as the day goes on and gets replaced as it runs out. It's very likely that if you go later in the day, the meat will more likely be on the well-done side or perhaps even over cooked. Considering Kenta K's review of the food quality for dinner hours, I would best recommend this place during lunch hour, when the food selection is most likely to be at its freshest and best prepared. read more

Our first time there for lunch. Both the food and service were just excellent. Do not, do not let the exterior appearance fool you. You just have to remember you are there to eat not to judge building contest. Waitstaffs are extremely friendly. Unlike other famous Brazilian restaurants in the area, the prices are very reasonable by comparison. We will be backup very soon for a second visit.
