You order at the counter and the food is taken to your table. What a surprise! Puerto Rican food at its best; better than any restaurant I've tried in Boston! We ordered pastelillos (chicken or beef patties), arroz con gandules (rice and pigeon peas), pernil (roast pork) and chicharrones (fried pork). We were so eager to dig in that no pictures were taken...lol The chef came out and asked if we would like try some soup he had just made. I asked What kind and he said "levanta muertos". I won't translate that since it would take too long. The soup was mix of chicken, pork and root vegetables and it was excellent! We were there early but by the time we left people were waiting for tables. There were many people picking up catering orders since it was Three Kings Day. My sister said now she doesn't have to ask my mom to cook! Can't wait to go back.

Drinks were loud, don't expect subtle flavors here! I got a bourbon-based drink (shame on me) that loosely resembled an old fashioned. It was prepared well and had a whimsical presentation with some gummy bears on the ice cube. Very sweet, with almost a tropical twist to it because of some fruit punch taste. Cool spot for sure, especially if you want a change from all the seafood-themed and American restaurants nearby.

He's a big fan of Chipotle (I am NOT), but he said his diced angus steak burrito blows theirs out of the water. This was after the first bite and he reaffirmed that after he wolfed it down. My Bistec Encebollado (Steak & Onions) was so tender and seasoned just right. The portion was big for the price and I couldn't finish it. My son wolfed that down too, robbing me of the joy of leftovers for lunch today. He ate his too fast for me to get a photo but here's the Bistec Encebollado. I have a dairy allergy, so it looks kinda boring but there were plenty of options I chose to skip. The beef didn't need it! It's a small place but online ordering was super easy and it was ready in 20 min as advertised. There are only a handful of tables but they're really cool wood creations and there's a great vibe. The staff was very friendly as I watched them deal with some pretty indecisive people in front of me. I got so distracted looking around that I forgot to grab the drinks I ordered but we will definitely be back!
