I heard of this place through TikTok. They have a variety of dishes from different countries. This time I will share my experience with a very national dish from Guatemala named Shuco. Traditionally, you will relate this dish to a sub. For us, Guatemalans, this is a well known sub that brings great taste and memories for all Guatemalans living abroad. It comes with grilled meats, creamy guacamole, boiled cabbage, grill bread and a trinity of sauces. Paola and el Chino, were very welcoming and treated me and my son with love and respect. This place was so delicious I wanted to buy more and save it for next three days. The tripleta hit the spot, the three meats and the sauce with the toasty bread was amazing!! Small hole in the wall take-out restaurant with friendly staff. I've had a lot of nights that ended up in NYC bodegas ordering late night chopped cheese. If you're in Lynn looking for great Puerto Rican food and even better service, please stop and check out Papivivi!! There is street parking and a few private spots on the side of the restaurant. The owner is extremely welcoming and helpful. You can tell he takes pride in his restaurant and what he serves. We ordered two plates/bowls to go and a beef empanada w/ cheese, good portions. I drive by Papi Vivi 5-6 times a week and the aroma always fills the air, so tonight I had to stop and grab their menu, and I'm glad I did!!! I ordered the Dinner Bowl with Pernil, the Tripleta Bowl a side of Rice and Beans and a couple Empanadas. I was so overwhelmed with the smell and the portions, the Empanadas were delicious with plenty of filling, we got a beef and chicken. The Tripleta Bowl was next, the portion was huge, mouth watering and delicious, the food was as if I was sitting at the dining room table at Papa Rodriguez's house. The Rice and Beans were just as if he had cooked them himself. The Service was friendly and genuine, we exchanged some small chat and the young man wished me good luck navigating the traffic. If you enjoy authentic Puerto Rican Food, the traffic isn't an issue and well worth the drive!!! I just wish I had taken a picture of the Tripleta Bowl before I devoured it!!! read more

Stopped by Papivivi Sandwich this afternoon after hearing nothing but rave reviews from friends. I was really hoping to try their Tripleta sandwich but as soon as we walked in the really kind man (wish I got his name) at the counter immediately greeted and informed us that they unfortunately ran out of bread for the weekend. I was bummed at first but I settled for their rice bowl (with chicken and beef). My boyfriend got their Burripleta. My boyfriend asked if it was okay to add fries inside of the Burripleta and the guy was so nice and excited for us for this combination lol. Let me tell you, although I was bummed they didn't have any bread so I could try the Tripleta, even something as simple as my rice bowl was amazing and so flavorful. My boyfriends Burripleta with fries was delicious! We also got the empanada and they were so nice and light & tasty.. not overly greasy. I know it may go over peoples heads these days but good service and a friendly face makes all the difference. After the kind encounter, excellent food was a plus. I was born and raised in Puerto Rico and I can say that the authentic Puertorican cuisine flavors are 100% in PapiVivis food. The Vivís Tripleta was delicious! I wish I had asked for a bit of their homemade "Pique" hot vinaigrette. The Pernil is flavorful and so next time I will try the pernil sandwich. I love Empanadas and so I order all three kinds, beef, cheese and Tripleta. They were completely filled with meat and cheese I have no complaints I just want to go and get more. Im sure I will be a regular here. I also had a passionlemonade for drink and I can say is also delicious. Is not too sweet or too sour is perfectly balance.
