I stopped in to papi viví's today on a whim because I wasn't hungry at all! But there was parking open in front and I had been meaning to go for a while so I took that as a sign for a snack! I got a passion fruit juice, cheese empanada, cream cheese and guava empanada, and a side of yellow rice and beans. Everything was absolutely delicious!! The rice was so flavorful and soft. The portions were huge! The restaurant was very cutely decorated. There are stools to await food. The customer service was the icing on top!! I believe the owner was servicing me and he was sooo kind to me and to every customer who walked in was treated with the upmost gratitude and sincerity. I am excited to have finally tried this delicious food and I look forward to returning to try more! read more

Papivivi - Cheese empanada on top of a side of yellow rice and beans. - Sandwiches Near Me - Lynn, Massachusetts

Great sandwiches, pernil and jugo de chinola. Cute little place in between Saugus and Lynn. The staff is also very friendly.

Randomly in the area starving so a quick search and this place popped up. I almost drove by it thinking it was a tiny bodega but I'm glad I stopped and went in. This place was so delicious I wanted to buy more and save it for next three days. The tripleta hit the spot, the three meats and the sauce with the toasty bread was amazing!! The fried app was perfect for a preteen. The Maryland fries hit for anyone from Maryland! I bought extra tube of sauce for home and dreamed about going back. I was told the chopped cheese is just as amazing but haven't tried it ... yet! read more

I heard of this place through TikTok. They have a variety of dishes from different countries. This time I will share my experience with a very national dish from Guatemala named Shuco. Traditionally, you will relate this dish to a sub. For us, Guatemalans, this is a well known sub that brings great taste and memories for all Guatemalans living abroad. It comes with grilled meats, creamy guacamole, boiled cabbage, grill bread and a trinity of sauces. Paola and el Chino, were very welcoming and treated me and my son with love and respect. The restaurant is very clean and well organized. It's located right on a busy street but you can easily find parking around it. Im definitely coming back with my whole family and friends! read more

Small hole in the wall take-out restaurant with friendly staff. I've had a lot of nights that ended up in NYC bodegas ordering late night chopped cheese. Papivivi is perhaps the best version of these sandwiches I've had anywhere. A lot of love and attention to detail. This *is* the spot an I highly recommend it. Would love to see them open a second location in Boston / Cambridge with late hours. read more

Papi viví' is a way to try it. I been seeing post in instagram and other social media and I stopped by 10 minutes before closing and order a tripleta and the service was just a huge smile that means that the owner not just care about providing costumer service, he cares about bringing his roots to a community that is 100% diverse offering other options about different cultures like Guatemalan and Dominican. Papi Vivis is a restaurant that does not forget his Puerto Rican roots. Restaurant also looks clean and 100% recommended. read more

If you're in Lynn looking for great Puerto Rican food and even better service, please stop and check out Papivivi!! There is street parking and a few private spots on the side of the restaurant. The owner is extremely welcoming and helpful. You can tell he takes pride in his restaurant and what he serves. We ordered two plates/bowls to go and a beef empanada w/ cheese, good portions. The space is small but has a few seats by a window. Most people pick up their food to go and they are expanding their menu. I'll def be ordering again soon. read more

I drive by Papi Vivi 5-6 times a week and the aroma always fills the air, so tonight I had to stop and grab their menu, and I'm glad I did!!! I ordered the Dinner Bowl with Pernil, the Tripleta Bowl a side of Rice and Beans and a couple Empanadas. I was so overwhelmed with the smell and the portions, the Empanadas were delicious with plenty of filling, we got a beef and chicken. The Tripleta Bowl was next, the portion was huge, mouth watering and delicious, the food was as if I was sitting at the dining room table at Papa Rodriguez's house. The Rice and Beans were just as if he had cooked them himself. The Service was friendly and genuine, we exchanged some small chat and the young man wished me good luck navigating the traffic. If you enjoy authentic Puerto Rican Food, the traffic isn't an issue and well worth the drive!!! I just wish I had taken a picture of the Tripleta Bowl before I devoured it!!! read more

The freshness and flavors hit me like fuacata! Ya gotta get there early as once they are out of certain items that's it for the day. Carne guisada - A, habichuelas (beans) - A+, Cuban sandwich - A++! Go there - it's worth the drive even if you're going from South Boston like we did. read more

One of my favorite places for quick and good food. If if you've never eaten here, do yourself a favor and stop by you'll love it.

I tried them when they first opened, but was not very impressed. I decided to give them another whirl all these years later after seeing several videos praising them on Tiktok and I'm so glad I did! The chopped cheese is incredible now! It is an absolutely must try if you're in the area. It can be difficult to park due to the location, so you may want to consider delivery. read more

This tiny shop serves some good Puerto Rican food. They mostly have sandwiches, but also empanadas and you can make rice bowls too. The staff is super friendly. The empanadas are excellent. They told me they run out of the guava ones early, which is to be expected. I liked my pernil bowl. It was huge and the pork was excellent. The beans were also good. I'd return when I go back home. read more

Stopped by Papivivi Sandwich this afternoon after hearing nothing but rave reviews from friends. I was really hoping to try their Tripleta sandwich but as soon as we walked in the really kind man (wish I got his name) at the counter immediately greeted and informed us that they unfortunately ran out of bread for the weekend. I was bummed at first but I settled for their rice bowl (with chicken and beef). My boyfriend got their Burripleta. My boyfriend asked if it was okay to add fries inside of the Burripleta and the guy was so nice and excited for us for this combination lol. Let me tell you, although I was bummed they didn't have any bread so I could try the Tripleta, even something as simple as my rice bowl was amazing and so flavorful. My boyfriends Burripleta with fries was delicious! We also got the empanada and they were so nice and light & tasty.. not overly greasy. I know it may go over peoples heads these days but good service and a friendly face makes all the difference. After the kind encounter, excellent food was a plus. We will return for sure so I can try that Tripleta! read more

Thank you papi vivi for dinner ! These sandwiches were THE BOMB.COM !!! Everything had delicious flavor even down to the garlicy goodness of the bread they used. I got the sofrito chicken (DELICIOUS) but my mum who got the pernil said it was so soft and flavorful. Adding a side of fries is a perfect match for these sandwiches. Tripleta was the best sandwich I've had in probably a year or more. Pork was super tender and PapiVivi sauce was perfection. The chop cheese was really good too if you prefer just ground beef. Empanada super cheesy and delicious. 100% will be back. read more

I was born and raised in Puerto Rico and I can say that the authentic Puertorican cuisine flavors are 100% in PapiVivis food. The Vivís Tripleta was delicious! I wish I had asked for a bit of their homemade "Pique" hot vinaigrette. The Pernil is flavorful and so next time I will try the pernil sandwich. I love Empanadas and so I order all three kinds, beef, cheese and Tripleta. They were completely filled with meat and cheese I have no complaints I just want to go and get more. Im sure I will be a regular here. I also had a passionlemonade for drink and I can say is also delicious. Is not too sweet or too sour is perfectly balance. Also the service is great and they speak Spanish! I am sooooo happy we are so closed to this new gem in Lynn! Welcome to PapiVivis and Staff! read more
