I made reservations to be seated out in the patio which was very cool as we were seating right by the window so we had a nice view and the patio had a nice cool vibe, casual but intimate, perfect for a summer night. Our server was Angelina, she was so sweet & pleasant. We both ordered a cocktail & both choice the minestrone soup as our appetizer ( it was DELICIOUS, served piping hot and a perfect starter)! I chose the Chef's Haddock , gf chose the Orecchiette pasta, both entrees were cooked perfectly, I ate all of mine, gf had to take most of hers home (which was fine with me so I could eat it the next day for lunch)! We truly enjoyed everything about Scopa and we will definitely be back soon & keep Scopa on our " Great Date Night Dinner List"!

The oysters were delicious, and the crab cake was probably my favorite of the starters. The meatball was interesting. It had pork and ground beef and was quite gamey, but it lacked the flavor I was expecting. For my entrée, I ordered the chicken broccoli Alfredo. Unfortunately, the chicken cutlet was pretty bland, and overall, the dish was just okay. I've definitely had better Italian meals. There were a few highlights, but overall, Scopa just didn't leave the impression I was hoping for on my first visit. Maybe I didn't order the right dishes, but based on this experience, I wouldn't be rushing back.

Recently I was craving seafood BIG TIME. As a native Mainer who has lived in the area now for over…read more15 years, it can be tough to find places that serve "traditional" lobster dinners. (Typically consist of steamers, lobster, a baked potato and some corn on the cob if you're lucky). My husband found Turner's while doing a search for a place that would come close to giving me what I was looking for, and they delivered! We started off with the steamers. They're to die for... so tender, no sand in the bellies, and the broth? OOH the broth. It's delectable. It adds flavor that complements the clams perfectly (doesn't overwhelm them at all). My hard shell lobster was incredibly delicious. I'm usually a soft shell gal, but I will take whatever is offered - as long as the meat isn't tough, I'm fine to do the extra work. (It's part of the fun). The tail was split, which is helpful for people who don't know their way around a lobster- for me, I'd prefer it whole, so that's the only (extremely small!) thing I'd change next time. My baked potato and carrots were tasty and the waitress was attentive, kind, and she also had a sense of humor. My husband and I had an awesome evening, and we will be back!

The food was on the salty side, it's great to have this down the road instead of having to go down to north end. We ended the night with the flourless cake. Our server was very friendly! But the food was just ok. Drive a little farther and get some Mexico Lindo instead.

Our service was great, professional not overly friendly. I liked the atmosphere, casual but a bit upscale for Revere Beach. The food was delicious. I came in at about 8:45 when they close at 10, and I was told they could not seat me outside because the kitchen was closing. I said if I order oysters or something that doesn't require the grill, can I be seated outside? They said they would ask the kitchen. The host came back and said sure, that would be fine. Then brought me through the dining room to a table. I asked again if I could be seated outside because I am eating, she said no, even though there were about 8 or 9 tables available outside. So I asked to be seated at the table by the window closest to the ocean, which you couldn't see out of based on the reflections of the lights. I likely would have chosen another place if I knew it would be so difficult to get a table outside even when they are available. So I ordered a dozen oysters, half blondes from Blue Hill Bay Maine, half were from Little Pilgrim, Mass.; they were delicious and fresh. I looked them up afterwards and I'm not sure they gave me the right names, but they do look close and at least they had a relative idea of where they were from. I also ordered the shrimp ceviche with plantains, it was good with a decent amount of shrimp but I felt like there could be more, and the plantain chips took up the majority of the dish to make it look bigger. It's a great idea & taste, but could be executed much better. I tried their Dragon's Kiss for a drink which I liked. I forgot our servers name, she was nice but I did feel like she had wanted me to order more for a bigger tip. Tip: give great service and you don't have to upsell to get a bigger tip. It was $120 for 2 drinks, a dozen oysters, and a shrimp ceviche appetizer. dragons kiss 8.5/10 oysters: blue hill bay blonde, me (?) 10/10 little pilgrim, ma (?) 9/10 shrimp ceviche 7/10 Overall it's a beautiful new-ish (3 years) restaurant overlooking Revere Beach, if you can convince them to give you a table outside. Food is good, not great but I'd need to try them again to give a better opinion. Service is just okay, I didn't like the bait and switch of the tables, or that I just came for a few oysters and a couple drinks and it was $120. ambiance: 4/5 food: 4/5 drinks: 4/5 service: 2.5/5 Dryft: 2.6/5 *docked a point for the table situation. there was no reason why we couldn't have a table outside, especially when I told them I would order raw options to make it easier for the kitchen. there were other people outside.

She even called ahead to make sure they cook gluten and non gluten separately. We show up and the server had a hard time taking our orders from the start. The server seemed new and maybe had some language barriers, as she didn't seem to be understanding any of us. My husband ordered an old fashion, she didn't seem to understand and he had to repeat himself multiple times slowly. She finally got it after a few times. I asked for a drink off the mocktail menu, but I get a drink loaded with vodka and it is not the drink I ordered. I ask the server about it, she said it was the drink she wrote down. The color wasn't even the same color of the correct drink. I told her I ordered a mocktail, she said they have 2 drinks with the same name. and I got the one with alcohol. There was only one drink with that name on the menu and it is under the zero proof section. It was not even the right flavor of the drink, with or without alcohol. We order oysters off the happy hour menu. She brings double the amount we ordered. And said it wasn't on the happy hour menu. We show her the happy hour menu and it is right there. Lastly, she was very confused about the celiac requirement. My friend has very serious issues with it and every restaurant we eat at with her has to have separate prep kitchens. She didn't seem to get that my friend could not have pita with the hummus. Maybe she didn't know what gluten-free or celiac was? But after some explanation and asking for veggies instead of pita, she offered cucumber. Then my friend ordered the chicken and asked for the celiac prep, the server just kind of dismissed it. When it came, the chicken had a crunchy crust on it, and we were just not sure if the server understood again, so my friend just didn't eat it out of caution. We were bummed as it seemed like a good place but the service just kind of ruined the meal. If this lady was new, we would recommend she shadow someone for a while so she can learn.
