Went scopa for the first time. Small inside but the food was very good parking out back and great service and fresh food made to order. Excellent restaurant. It's a must try

What a lovely view! Choose the outdoor dining.

After walking though North Boston and smelling all the delicious aromas of homemade food, we knew we wanted to fit an authentic Italian restaurant into our itinerary during our roadtrip tour of the northeast U.S. The problem: We did not want to deal with finding parking in North Boston, nor did we want to wait for a table as we had already wasted many hours waiting in lines during a long holiday weekend. So we entered Scopa into our Google maps and made our way to this delicious restaurant on our way back into Boston. We are so glad we did. It was the best meal we had over five days and in three different states. Plus--easy parking and no wait times! The food was outstanding. You can taste the quality. The fettuccine is made in house. I enjoyed chicken Parmesan and my daughter had the chicken piccata which was fresh and lemony. The service was excellent, and the view was even better. It is located in a quiet neighborhood overlooking a waterfront that I definitely wasn't expecting. If I lived in Boston, it would be worth the drive to eat here.

Scopa - A North Shore Italian Gem 829 Boston St, Lynn, MA 01905 You don't need to head into Boston's North End to get top-notch Italian food -- the North Shore is bringing the heat, and Scopa in Lynn proves it. This cozy spot delivers authentic flavors, homemade pasta, and hearty portions that rival any city favorite. APPETIZERS Prosciutto Rollatini - 8/10 If you're not usually a fan of raw prosciutto, don't write this one off just yet. Scopa wraps fresh basil, roasted red peppers, and provolone in thinly sliced prosciutto, then tops it with a rich balsamic reduction. While raw prosciutto isn't my go-to, this was balanced and well-executed. Calamari Fritti - 8/10 Crispy, fresh, and paired with hot cherry peppers and a house-made spicy marinara that hits just right. These were golden and light--not greasy--making them a great start to the meal. ENTRÉES Orecchiette with Sausage - 10/10 This dish blew me away. The sweet Bianco sausage was packed with flavor and perfectly balanced with the light marinara, fresh spinach, and basil oil. The fresh orecchiette pasta soaked up every bit of sauce, making each bite rich and satisfying. Chicken Parmigiana with Angel Hair Pasta - 9/10 A classic done nearly perfectly. The chicken was tender on the inside and crispy on the outside, topped with gooey mozzarella and a tangy marinara. The only critique? Slightly oily. Still, this was one of the best chicken parms I've had in a while. Final Thoughts: Scopa is proof that great Italian food isn't just found in Boston's North End. With fresh ingredients, homemade pasta, and generous portions, this Lynn gem is worth the trip. If you can, grab a table outside by the water -- the ambiance there is peak 9/10, adding a scenic charm to an already fantastic meal. Food: 9/10 Ambiance: 9/10 (outdoor seating by the water is a must!) Affordability: 7/10 (average pricing for high-quality Italian fare) Definitely going back.

Located on the Saugus Lynn line with great water view. We sat overlooking the water and it was spectacular. The food was delicious. Prices very reasonable. Service was on the slow side, but to be fair they were packed! Check out this place and their weekly specials. Seems like they have a lot going on.

What a cute little spot in Lynn! The inside is so beautiful, and there is a nice bar where we sat. Our bartender was amazing and very attentive. We ordered two cocktails and had a wine each with supper. The homemade pasta is absolutely amazing. My husband ordered the bolognese, and I ordered the chicken vodka pasta. We both had the home made fussili and it was outstanding, cooked perfectly al dente.

Tried out the newly opened Scopa on the Lynn/Saugus line last night. It is teeny tiny and there was not an empty table, so it was quite loud making it hard to converse. It is nicely decorated and full of fun Halloween decorations. The focaccia and oil dip were delicious. I got Chicken. Francese. It came with pasta; and when I asked what kind they had, I was given only fresh pasta options. There was no mention of an up charge nor did the menu mention one. From previous comments on Facebook, I knew to request no salt. We had to request fresh cracked pepper. I also had to request grated cheese. I was brought a glass shaker filled with grated cheese. Later, I observed a waitress actually grating fresh cheese over freshly served pasta plates! Upon asking my waiter about it, he told me he brought me the grated cheese I requested; and what I witnessed was shaved cheese!!!!????? Ordered a cappuccino for dessert, and it was lukewarm after a long wait for it. When I mentioned it to him, he was not familiar with the term lukewarm, but did take it away to have another made. The bill was left and I was charged extra for the fresh pasta. That was a surprise. I asked him about it, and his response was that everyone knows fresh pasta costs extra. I suggested he mention it to his customers and the menu should also reflect it. I also reminded him that he did not give me any other options. He offered to remove the up charge from my bill. While I was still waiting for the cappuccino, the Manager came over asking who got the Chicken Francese. She was lovely and felt my feedback was important so they could do better going forward. I was impressed. She offered to remove the up charge from my bill. When she brought it back, she had also comped the cappuccino. Overall, the food was very good; and I appreciate how they want to learn and improve by listening to their customers.

The generous portions sizes will surprise you . It's reasonably priced for the quality and quantity. The service is attentive, helpful and friendly. The vibe is welcoming and warm . We definitely will be back when in the area , the food was delicious.

We were in a completely empty restaurant but they still managed to sit a very loud party right next to us. Ordered a glass of Cabernet- fairly decent pour. Salad dressing delicious- not crazy about the dark green top leaves from the romaine- this is the part I throw out- but definitely edible. My husbands fish was fresh - small portion, mashed potatoes starchy, veg was good - small portion. I had the haddock francase- tiny portion of fish- the sauce was delicious but saturated the 'breading' kind of wrecking it (maybe put the sauce on the side?). Risotto awful. Bread was freshly baked- the crusty part was good-inside seemed a little undercooked. That was my husband's birthday dinner.... Opted to stop at the local grocery store for desert- best thing we ate all day!

(Typically consist of steamers, lobster, a baked potato and some corn on the cob if you're lucky). My husband found Turner's while doing a search for a place that would come close to giving me what I was looking for, and they delivered! We started off with the steamers. They're to die for... so tender, no sand in the bellies, and the broth? OOH the broth. It's delectable. It adds flavor that complements the clams perfectly (doesn't overwhelm them at all). My hard shell lobster was incredibly delicious. I'm usually a soft shell gal, but I will take whatever is offered - as long as the meat isn't tough, I'm fine to do the extra work. (It's part of the fun). The tail was split, which is helpful for people who don't know their way around a lobster- for me, I'd prefer it whole, so that's the only (extremely small!) thing I'd change next time. My baked potato and carrots were tasty and the waitress was attentive, kind, and she also had a sense of humor. My husband and I had an awesome evening, and we will be back!

I came in at about 8:45 when they close at 10, and I was told they could not seat me outside because the kitchen was closing. I said if I order oysters or something that doesn't require the grill, can I be seated outside? They said they would ask the kitchen. The host came back and said sure, that would be fine. Then brought me through the dining room to a table. I asked again if I could be seated outside because I am eating, she said no, even though there were about 8 or 9 tables available outside. So I asked to be seated at the table by the window closest to the ocean, which you couldn't see out of based on the reflections of the lights. I likely would have chosen another place if I knew it would be so difficult to get a table outside even when they are available. So I ordered a dozen oysters, half blondes from Blue Hill Bay Maine, half were from Little Pilgrim, Mass.; they were delicious and fresh. I looked them up afterwards and I'm not sure they gave me the right names, but they do look close and at least they had a relative idea of where they were from. I also ordered the shrimp ceviche with plantains, it was good with a decent amount of shrimp but I felt like there could be more, and the plantain chips took up the majority of the dish to make it look bigger. It's a great idea & taste, but could be executed much better. I tried their Dragon's Kiss for a drink which I liked. I forgot our servers name, she was nice but I did feel like she had wanted me to order more for a bigger tip. Tip: give great service and you don't have to upsell to get a bigger tip.
