This restaurant doesn't have the best ambiance or service but they do have great italian food at an affordable price. I really enjoyed my Chicken Verdicchio which had chicken surrounded by garlic, mushroom, artichoke hearts, and lemon with a hint of marsala wine. I had it over fettucini and it was very tasty and a large portion.

You know that spot that every neighborhood has that you know it's probably not that good but has been in business so long that it's pretty much become a routine for all the locals. They go there, their parents, and their parents parents. I would have never Well imagine for a minute if the food and service alike were absolutely exemplary. Introducing.....DeMainos! DeMainos has been serving fresh Italian classics for over 85 years. The list of menu items is too numerous to name. Appetizers like bruschetta and calamari, mains like fettuccine Alfredo and chicken cacciatore and baked ziti, veal, scampi, brick oven pizza and even sandwiches. The list goes on and on. I can't speak for too many because I've only visited once, but the eggplant parm is superb. The lasagna was easily one of the best I've ever had. That includes stateside or in all the various cities I've been to in Italy. It was that good. The bread is downright addictive. Boston has one of the best Italian food scenes in all of America, as many of hours long wait times will tell you. But never would I suspect Revere would have something to say about that. Heck, if it wasn't for a friend whos parents grew up in the area, and who recently discovered this place themselves, I would have never found myself here. DeMainos is the real deal. And I have absolutely no problems if it remains a hidden gem. Trust me I won't complain that the parking was easy, or the lack of wait time lol Demainos is one of the easiest 5s I've ever given! PS: Special shoutout to the wonderful, patient and gracious waitstaff. The little things matter.

Everything to do with the food needs to be changed. Time to upgrade. Service and ambiance are fine.

Excellent tripe. Place is a little dated but good spot if you want traditional red sauce Italian food. Nothing fancy.

One half hour later, our waitress finally came to take our order after walking back and forth ignoring us for that 30 minutes. When our waitress took our orders, there was no apology for the long wait either. The food we ate was good, but not worth the wait. The portions were generous, and I couldn't finish mine. One sis ordered lobster roll with slaw, pickles and fries. She found it to be underwhelming, particularly the texture. I had the Dryft cheeseburger covered in caramelized onions and fries as a side. It was a big burger, well cooked, and I deconstructed it, to have less bun. The plentiful onions were a nice addition, and I liked the fries. The other sis ordered chicken under a brick, which was a fried boneless chicken breast under mashed potatoes, chicken jus, and brussels. She substituted asparagus for the brussels. Sis was highly satisfied with her whole meal and ate it all. Our host had a salad, but I didn't catch which one. It was large, not particularly noteworthy, and she didn't finish it either. The place was really noisy, which made conversation difficult. One other thing I noticed: all the female staff were wearing very short black skirts or shorts while the male staff members wore long black pants. I didn't inquire about a dress code or uniform, but it seemed sexist to me.

The peppers weren't spicy but added perfect acid to the whole pizza. The dough was amazing and it was flawlessly cooked (which for a true Napolitano pizza is a challenge) which is a good sign for any pizza from here. The wife had the Gnochetti which had the important trick of knowing to mix the gnocchi and the short rib into one amazing concoction. Trust me on this one. We closed with the Nutella pizza which I've had at numerous other restaurants and Ciao's was hands down the best ever. Make sure to save room for this... seriously. We really fell in love with Ciao! and will 100% be coming back the next time we're in town.

We found the folks here to be so welcoming and genuine in their desire to provide a delicious meal and experience. This is a small casual cafe with takeout service and a small eat in space and in good weather, outdoor seating, though limited. Excellent prompt service by the charming staffers. Four of us shared the Fungi pizza and the Margherita pizza. Both were delicious with a crisp thin crust and so fresh tasting. In addition we tried a plate of their Short Ribs which tasted homemade for sure. The menu also offered several pasta choices. The desserts shared were cannoli, tiramisu and a mousse. All delicious. This is a definite "return to" pizzeria.

Recommend reservations for dinner as others have mentioned as it's relatively small, but cozy and reminiscent of some of my favorite Italy spots. Service was personal, immediate and wonderful. I recently visited Isabella Ristorante in the North End and had a really enjoyable dinner overall…read more I'd definitely recommend making a reservation because the restaurant fills up quickly, especially during dinner hours. One small thing -- maybe it was just me, but the entrance was a little difficult to find at first since it's mainly just a door from the outside. There were also tables seated very close to the entrance, which made it feel a bit cramped and awkward walking in and out. Our waiter was friendly and nice, though the service did feel a little rushed at times. That said, the food was absolutely delicious. We started with the calamari to share, and it was beautifully prepared -- crispy, fresh, and not overly heavy. For my entree, I ordered the seafood pasta and really loved it. The seafood tasted fresh, the pasta was cooked perfectly, and the flavors all came together really well.
