We love Sabatino's! The food is excellent, and they have a large menu encompassing traditional favs (like chicken ziti & broccoli, chicken parm, ravioli, etc.), some really unique dishes, and old school dishes like bracciole, tripe, and calamari sauce -- each of which remind me so much of childhood dinners with my Papa. Their house salad is to die for -- literally the best Italian dressing I've ever had, and always poured generously over crisp iceberg and cold, crunchy veggies with a healthy sprinkle of mozzarella cheese. Other standouts in the menu include the broccoli margarita and shrimp grand marnier appetizer and the zingarella specialty pasta dish. Every time we go, everything leaving the kitchen looks delicious and fresh. Service is consistently good and drinks are made very well. It gets very busy on weekends, so try to go for lunch or on a weeknight to ensure your meal is piping hot. Otherwise, we have found, sometimes dishes are sometimes served a little on the tepid side. Either way, you are sure to enjoy your experience at this great spot.

Went to Sabatino's Restaurant in Wakefield the other day. We had tried another restaurant in the area and thought we would try it out. It is very nice inside although really noisy from the bar area. We sat down and our server came to ask us about drinks. Ordered an Apple Martini. Martini came. Was very generous and not short poured like many others. Anyone who knows me knows I get very annoyed when a glass is not full. Water and bread came. Bread was delicious...almost like velvet interior and came with butter unlike most restaurants. I ordered....wait for it....Chicken Limone. My husband Chicken Parmesan. I asked for penne with red sauce on a separate plate and received penne under the chicken with lemon sauce. Another person brought it and before I could mention it wasn't correct, they were gone. Hubby's Parmesan had VERY LITTLE cheese, so I'm not sure you could call it Parmesan. I tried to flag down my server but had trouble. Finally, she came over and I told her about the penne which she corrected right away. Just a comment, the same server that took your order should be bringing it to you, because if somethings wrong they can correct it right away. I will say the chicken was very tender. They only thing I personally didn't care for is it had too much thyme in it. Thyme is a pretty powerful herb and in something like a lemon dish can take over. For me, it did. But, I did tolerate it and ate all the chicken. The red sauce on the pasta was not my favorite but I do prefer chunky style pasta sauce with lots of wine so its just a preference. Hubby said his chicken was overall good but did have some tough spots. He wasn't crazy for the sauce either. All in all, it was OK, but I wouldn't put it on my repeat list.

We came here on a Friday night, Jan 2021. A reservation was not required, the place was packed, and we only waited about 5 minutes for a high top table at the bar. The host who seated us was very down to earth and pleasant to talk to. Sabatino's has a very upbeat and eclectic atmosphere on a friday night. It's cozy and snug and the two bartenders were very attentive and funny. This restaurant has delicious Italian fare very similar to Jevellis in East Boston. We ordered wine, calamari, antipasto, and shrimp fettuccini alfredo. Every dish was amazing and I licked all the plates afterwards. Will be back soon.

Sabs is the best spot in Wakefield. Laura the bartender is awesome! It was super busy and she still gave great service with a smile.

It's a mushroom risotto that is perfectly prepared-thick enough to eat with a fork and not too sticky, topped with fresh salmon and a light cream sauce. Service was prompt, courteous, professional, and bussing service was readily available to keep water glasses filled, table cleaned, and conversation flowing (along with good wine). This is a good neighborhood spot for intimate gatherings or a business meeting where good food is a must. Highly recommended!

SEATING: They wrote the wrong name down for our reservation and I thought we were out of luck, but they figured we were the ones with the reservation at that time, so they seated us. DRINKS: They were out of the wine I wanted and another person in our party couldn't get the kind of martini they wanted. The other drinks were fine. FOOD: The portions were pretty small. The carbonara did not look or taste like carbonara. It tasted ok, but was not what was expected. I had the chicken piccata and it was fine. The veal saltimbocca was ok but was served with overcooked potatoes. AMBIANCE: The place is small and was CROWDED and NOISY, which really impacted our evening. We could hold a conversation, but it was unpleasant. Also, we were seated next to their exterior sign, which was blinking and distracting throughout our time there. SERVICE: The servers were very pleasant and tried to be as helpful as possible, bringing us water regularly. All in all, I don't think we'll be back.

I have no issue spending $$$$ on good food in fact my wife and I would bring her father and found $300 plus steaks drinks spots and dessert so that's not the issue. it all started to do downhill when they put in the "sports" bar. They seemed to forget their old clients who had money and would spend and went for the "hip" market. many if my friends now refuse to go there as it is a confused atmosphere and the menu changes a bit, dropped steaks and several dishes, cut the double burger to a single, same price and kind of dropped the quality in general. The staff is great but they can only work with what they have. I feel really sorry but maybe this post will motivate them to get back on track. before the bar it was a unique local place that had outstanding food now it's just like any other cookie cutter Italian bar. I honestly can't think of another restaurant that captures the essence of Northern Italian cuisine at this level. Every single dish we ordered was exceptional. My advice: go family-style so you can share and experience as much of the menu as possible. The tortellini was outstanding, the pasta with the brandy cream sauce was unforgettable, and the short rib was absolutely phenomenal. Not a single dish missed, and there wasn't one thing we wouldn't order again. To top it all off, the chef came over to our table at the end of the meal to say hello--a thoughtful touch that made an already incredible experience even more memorable. I would put this restaurant up against anything I've had in Italy, and without question, it's the best Italian restaurant in the Boston area. The most surprising part? It's in Woburn, not the North End. 10/10. An unforgettable dining experience

Short rib with risotto also not hot, and I suspect was microwaved after a service snafu.
