Love this restaurant. I have never had a bad meal. They start you off with delicious bread and complimentary ricotta balls. The prices are reasonable and the portions are big, so we always bring half home. Bella, our waitress is always pleasant and the service is great. Full bar and draft beer available. Always clean. Highly recommend for dining in or take-out. The pizza here is great, too.

    Spaghetti and Meatballs

The Bruschetta, the bread was not really toasted so it was soggy. The cheese had not flavor. The sauce on the noodles was bland as well as the meatballs. The noodles we're not out in day and we're more on this really soft side. I will not order from here again.

Gallo Nero in Peabody 89 Main St, Peabody https://www.galloneroristorante.com/ Headed over to Tanner Town tonight to check out Gallo Nero on Main Street. Pretty interesting place. On one side was a traditional pizzeria while the other side had that fine dining appeal to it. It's certainly a lot different from the 'Pops' days. Nonetheless, the pizza is good, the establishment is immaculately clean, and the service was outstanding. Davi Shurdha & his team couldn't have been more attentive and friendly throughout the entire visit. The only challenge is the parking situation but we made it work. Check this place out soon!

Food is delicious. Service is excellent too. We order takeout from here also for the convenience when we have the little children with us.

As a loyal customer since the day Toscana Forno has opened, I can wholeheartedly say that the food and drinks are awesome and consistent, the atmosphere is upscale yet comfortable and the staff as a whole is attentive, friendly and welcoming - however, it is truly knowing that when these two are behind the bar my drink is going to be poured before I even ask for it, the service is top notch and comes with many laughs throughout the night, cleanliness is never even a question, and I leave at the end of the night with a happy belly and a full heart that keep us coming back week after week!!

What means a lot to me is the initial greeting you get when arriving. Very pleasant young lady…read moreshowed us to our table very quickly. Thank you. My wife is Celiac. We were told they cook the GF pasta in the same water as regular pasta. This defeats the purpose of GF pasta! What would it take to have a pan full of water for cooking GF pasta? The waitress made it clear that the kitchen has cross contamination which is OK for most people. My wife ordered scallops and risotto. The dish came out and was disappointing. 5 scallops made the dish not look good for $33. Smaller dish or more scallops would be in order. Everything was cooked to perfection. I got the Risotto de Carne which was proportioned correctly and also cooked to perfection. The bread was great. The atmosphere was wonderful with an upper class flair. Dish prices were very reasonable. Our service was great from Samantha. Will be back again. Hopefully there are some improvements for their GF guests. I also have an issue with the published dress code that is not enforced. I am tired of baseball caps being worn by so many.

She was patient and kind and took the time to understand what we needed. We ordered cocktails... because tonight was the last night I could before I re-start chemotherapy. Both my father and I ordered the Sangria ($14.00) ... And it was *amazing*. Honestly, it was the best I've had since my best friend and I drank together at a Flamenco restaurant in Montreal in June of 1985. My mother ordered the house dry red wine ($10.00) I didn't taste it and she didn't mention whether it was good or not. We ordered one Ceasar Salad ($10.00) and it was both really generous and incredibly delicious (see photo). My parents and I split it three was and it was plenty. The tang of the dressing really worked against the sardines and garlic. I'd definitely go back for more of that!! For dinner, my mother ordered the beef special.... Beef Braciole ($33.00) in an epic sauce. She loved it... but definitely could not finish it!! She brought the leftovers home (as did my father and I). My father ordered the Veal parmigiana ($29.99) and it was a massive, almost overwhelming plate of food (photo attached). He loved it (as did I when I tasted it!). For me?? I ordered the Pollo Vodka Bella Napoli ($26.99 - photo attached). It was a huge, almost overwhelming bowl of food and it was amazing. Deep, rich flavor with mushrooms, bacon, shallots, and tender chunks of chicken. The noodles we all ordered were the home made & hand-made fusilli that are produced in-house. I think that if a chef is going to spend the time necessary to make noodles, you should savor them... and that's what we did. Suzanne offered us a chance at dessert, but we declined, since we knew that if any of us ate a bite more, we would hit critical mass and destroy at least the surrounding block. The only weak point we encountered was the bread. It was weak, drab, and lacking in taste and character. They could do much better on that. Our bill, with taxes, was $162.62. With tip, it came to $195. Totally worth it!

Came here for lunch and got the Caesar salad ($10), seafood chowder ($12), and chicken parmigiana…read more($15). The price was a great value for the quantity, but the food itself was just mid. The seafood chowder has a good amount of seafood (shrimp with some scallops), but the seafood was mushy. The chowder was also lacking flavor. The chicken parmigiana was not as good as Olive Garden. The chicken was mushy, and the sauce was watered down/thin.

"Marco Polo traveled by camel and pony He brought to Italy,…read morethe first macaroni" (Peter, Paul and Mary) We were winding up a whirlwind weekend doing touristy stuff in Kennebunk, Wells, Ogunquit, and Marblehead, and really weren't in the mood to travel far for dinner from our hotel at the SpringHill Suites Peabody. Lucky for us, it was just a 397-foot walk to an attached strip mall and Marco's Restaurant. And I'm gonna say it right here and right now... Marco's was one of the very best Italian restaurants we have EVER visited. It looks old school with its dark wood tables and chairs and wine bottle decorations. Oh, and the house music was Italian opera! When our complimentary breadbasket came out, we knew we were in for something far from ordinary, because along with the great bread were a trio of dipping oils. One came with a splash of Balsamic, one came with a mound of pesto, and one came with a trio of hot pepper flakes. Edoardo was our server and he couldn't have been better. He was dapper -- a really personable continental gentleman. Our order was simple -two entrees. Pollo alla Parma (Chicken Parmigiana) for $30 and Fusilli ai Frutti di Mare ($35). The quality and quantity of both entrees exceeded our wildest dreams. My wife's Pollo alla Parma was "Pan fried, breaded chicken breast topped with homemade tomato sauce and fresh mozzarella, all over homemade fusilli". Her portion was so huge it almost covered her entire plate, and I kid you not.. she got four servings out of it. And that homemade fusilli was FANTASTIC. My seafood and pasta dish was "Mussels, baby clams, shrimp, bay scallops, calamari in a spicy cherry tomato sauce", and yes... it was also served over that amazing homemade fusilli. There was a lot of seafood, a lot of pasta, and a lot of that spicy tomato sauce. It was exquisite and yielded two big dinner portions. I can't praise Marco's enough. We loved everything about it.
