I've recently tried their chicken parm and lasagna. Both were very good. Once again, Bill (owner) and Nikki provided great service and they both created an overall very welcoming atmosphere.

Great pizza specizls like this BCon-pickle! Est italian and meatball subs! Great ptrepsred floods, too!

Vegitarian Pizza fresh tomatoes, basil, peppers, onions, mushrooms, broccoli, cheese, lemon dressing - we added pepperoni & sausage.

Absolutely love this little place. The fresh tomatoes instead of the usual sauce and crisp thin crust makes this a tasty lighter choice. Third time we had this combo pizza and it has been consistently remarkably fresh and great tasting.

    Pepperoni pizza slightly well done

Fantastic food. Great service. Neighborhood charm. I have eaten here countless times and have never been disappointed. A must try.

Great food, large portions, cheap prices, nice owner. You get a large cold cut sub anywhere else it's half the size and $5 more

Solid local pizza joint. Worth the detour around the bridgework. I'm happy to have this place right in my neighborhood.

Had takeout tonight. The chicken Parm was excellent, huge portion with nice tangy sauce and lots of cheese. The antipasto was great as well.

We had a good laugh, and then she had the hostess lead us to the back stairs. What a cozy room on the second floor. Alana, the bartender, made us excellent tequila cosmos. Then we had the fried calamari appetizer, which was honestly the best fried calamari I have ever had-light batter and tender, served with a side of their tomato sauce, which was excellent, too! I had the clams with linguini in their lemon, butter, garlic sauce, which was very yummy, and my husband had the chicken marsala. Both entrees were well proportioned and reasonably priced. We will definitely be back!

I got the chicken, ziti, broccoli and the takeout containers are nice so the pasta doesn't get cooked by the stems. The sauce was yummy! I think the broccoli was a little too hard and the chicken a little dry. However the portion was huge and it still tasted good the next day reheated. My husband got the chicken parm and he thought it was amazing and it was a massive portion. Would recommend! I'm sure it's better in person as well.

You walk in and are met with the aroma of pizza. They have a great selection of beers as well. I had the Margherita and it was delicious. Despite going during Halloween rush season, staff were quick to seat us and kind despite that rush. Now I've been to Bambolina's before and you can either sit outside (even this time of year) and take in the passersby and their numerous themed costumes or you can sit inside and enjoy the lowered mood lighting with more wood and tan accent colors. It feels sleepy in there and for me that equates to comfort. On this particular occasion I decided to get a Rosso Pizza from the Bambolina menu and my fiance got the Pork Belly Ramen from the flip side of the menu, that second restaurant I mentioned: Kokeshi. The food overall here is very natural and fresh tasting- none of that processed jargon you get at chains. You might think having two totally different culturally distinct menus under the same roof means one gas to be better than the other or one takes a hit in quality but no, not at all. I can pleasantly say having tried from both the Bambolina and Kokeshi menus that options on each are solid. You won't be disappointed if you go here, though it is more of a surprise if you're used to having processed pizza and ramen frequently. This place tastes very fresh and we are often excited to go whenever we hit Salem.

The menu here is different than Antique Table and Piccolo Piatti Winthrop, which offers full service dining with mostly Italian food. I stopped by Piccolo Piatti mid-afternoon and the place was fairly busy with people hanging out waiting for their orders. I ordered a Salmon Bowl ($16 plus tax) which was ready in about 25 minutes after ordering since there were already large orders before mine. I watched the two cooks prepare food in the kitchen as I waited. The Salmon Bowl was really good with nice flavors, which had white rice, mixed greens, red onions, pico de gallo, hot tender honey glazed salmon smoothed with a pesto mayo. I will definitely have to drop in again for a hot sandwich with a smoothie!

What a wonderful way to celebrate a night…read more It's Halloween today. The crowds in Salem are vast and overwhelming. We got off the Main Strip on Essex street and ventured out here in SOMA. It had a gothic, darker mood and my wife and I love it. The pizza we tried, the one with broccolini and shrimp was very tasty. Almost too much for us to finish. The vibe, the music, and our waitress Jenae was stellar. Just a super nice experience. Come here for a date night or low key gathering or celebration for sure. The music was just loud enough where we are vibing but not overwhelmed. Again fantastic experience

My girlfriend and I were looking for a nice spot to go on a Friday night and decided to try Soma…read more The place was pretty packed, but I called ahead and they were able to save a table for us, which we really appreciated. It's in a great location in downtown Beverly with a large parking lot behind it, so parking was easy. Unfortunately, the food didn't live up to expectations. We ordered two appetizers: the calamari and the mushroom arancini. The calamari was the strangest version I've ever had, mixed with jalapeños, arugula, tomatoes, and marinara sauce placed underneath. The combination didn't really work, and I wasn't a fan of the sauce being on the bottom instead of on the side. The arancini was better, but still odd. It was served over some kind of Alfredo sauce, which again felt unnecessary. It seems like this place really likes putting sauce on the bottom of dishes, and it didn't enhance the food. The real highlight of the night was the drinks. We both ordered espresso martinis, and they were honestly the best espresso martinis I've ever had. There were several other cocktails that looked great as well, so we'll definitely be back to try more drinks. Overall, the food was underwhelming and didn't meet my expectations. I wouldn't come back for the food, as their takes on classic dishes just didn't work for me. That said, if you're looking for great cocktails, Soma is absolutely worth it, especially for the espresso martinis. Get dinner elsewhere in Beverly and stop by Soma for drinks!
