Didn't know i was going to leave a review or else i would've taken a before photo, but this pizza was AMAZING. So thin and crunchy. Definitely greasy so watch out for that. Only docking them for 2 things: no water cups, have to buy a water for $3.50. Also the Caesar salad was really mid, wouldn't order again. But this hot honey pep i will order a million times over. Their ranch pretty is good too. Tip: call and order ahead for pickup so it's ready when you get there and then sit and eat in the shop. read more

I've ordered here many times and sometimes I get it and it's amazing and want to order it everyday and sometimes I get it and it's mediocre or borderline not good. From my experience not super consistent with the flavors and I usually get the same pizza. My first experience here was great, I had the La ge Margherita, at the restaurant, the second time I ordered take out, 3 pizzas, 1, sausage & mushroom, 2, mushroom, onion & green pepper & 3, the Margherita. The Margherita was great again, the other two had so much black pepper on them or in a shared topping (mushroom mix?) they were inedible, maybe just an off night, I didn't have time to cook dinner from scratch tonight, so I ordered 3 again, the Margherita was great, the other 2 did not have any mushroom mix but, they were both completely raw in the middle, the tomato sauce has no acid buffer so it's painful to someone with a sensitive stomach, after scraping off the sauce, I had to put both in my oven to try & salvage dinner because at nearly $80 I could not bring myself to toss it, not coming back. Can't even begin to express my disappointment with this restaurant. First, you can only order online. I ordered my food at 4:15 with plenty of time before having all my friends over at 5:15. I then realize there was a mistake while ordering it. But their phone number is disconnected so there's no way to make changes. I kept getting texts saying the order is delayed so a lot of people offered to go pick it up but again there is no way to call and tell them. The food then arrive two hours later, cold to the touch. I ordered $100 worth of food and everything was uneaten because of how unappetizing it looked, completely cold coming in the door. I ordered out to make it easier while hosting, and it turned into a disaster. Will absolutely never order from here again. The fact that you can't even call and speak to someone is so outrageous. OTTO in Beverly is great! My new favorite local pizza spot! I have been to OTTO in many locations over the past 12 years, including Portland HQ, Harvard Sq, Boston, Newburyport, and I fell out of love with them. But this new location has been consistently delicious and my favorite junk food. It's not your typical joint--it's more modern aesthetically and so is the pizza. Clean white walls, a bar area and about 8 tables makes up the interior of this space, and they also have a bathroom for eat-in patrons. It's a very clean environment which is noticeable and appreciated. This OTTO is different than most, and better. They have a unique way of saucing the pizza, in dots on top of the cheese. They give ample amounts of sauce so you can find the perfect bite no matter what. It's a unique eating experience, but they have mastered it at this OTTO. I used to shy away because of their spotted sauce, but now I love it! Bites of perfection. Their dough is fresh and made to order, not prepackaged like other local spots, and they have thin crust but sturdy enough to hold ample sauce & toppings. Their toppings are fresh & flavorful, and they have oregano, garlic powder, chili peppers and Parmesan cheese, as you would expect, to spice it up. And if you have any special requests, they are more than happy to accommodate. They offer gluten-free and vegan options (yes vegan cheese!) for those with food sensitivities and special preferences, and they list which veggies are non-vegan on their menu. They also offer double dough, which I haven't yet tried but I appreciate the option. I've stopped in for a slice 4 times now, and I have been completely satisfied by their food and great customer service. I've tried their cheese, pepper & onion, and margherita which I requested that they add sauce to it because it's a white pizza, and they were glad to do so. The guys in here are so nice, they follow instructions (when asking for special requests), and the pizza is very good. Definitely recommend. The North Shore of Massachusetts doesn't have a ton of vegan-friendly pizzerias. OTTO, a mini-chain started in Maine, opened in Beverly recently and offers vegan Violife cheese. As always, 3 stars is not a bad review in my book. We got a large with the Violife and a couple toppings ($25). The crust has a nice crispiness and chewiness all at once; I also appreciated the extremely fresh toppings and the nicely-melted vegan cheese. These aren't saucy pizzas and instead feature dollops of marinara above the toppings and cheese, instead of underneath. It works and tasted good. If OTTO added vegan toppings like pepperoni and sausage, and added a vegan dessert or two (how about cannoli?) it would earn another star. Stop by OTTO for a good vegan pizza. read more

A Pizza, not Apizza. Otto seems to have a consistency problem. The two locations I have been to in Maine always have an almost perfect pizza. I ask for well done, and they come out just slightly charred...perfecto. The crust is a bit chewy, but not dense, with a few bubbles along the edge. The toppings seem generous and evenly distributed on the pizza. Beverly, MA... not so. The well done crust was not, the crust was chewy, and dense like it had never seen any yeast. So dense in fact that the slices were not even cut through the whole crust...ever eat a perforated pie? The topping was scattered on one side, and almost missing on the other. I may try again, but not if Joes is open. read more

We ordered the Greek salad and a slice of the margarita pizza. The premade salad was truly awful. Brown lettuce, really no flavor. Greek dressing was not Greek dressing. Hard to describe how flavorless and bad it was. The slice was very average. Disappointing as I have loved the Brookline location. "Let's just order a pizza." These are not words that set expectations high. We were tired and cranky and hungry and, on a Sunday night, the options were limited. Fine, I thought, and started to dial that place with the flashy TV ads ... but wait, what about Otto? What ABOUT Otto? Start with the menu. We only needed one pizza but ordered two because who can pass up bacon and onions and mushrooms on the same pizza? And we both have a deep abiding love for just plain cheese pizza, when it's good. So we got two pies. And, oh, was it good. The right kind of crust, bubbly and crunchy but not TOO bubbly or crunchy ... just the right combination of cheese and sauce. The kind of cheese pizza that almost makes you forget you ordered two kinds. But wait, what's in the other box? The bacon/mushroom/onion combo was pretty amazing too. Someone over there is thinking hard about ingredients. Especially when you're expecting crummy take-out pizza, something to just get you past dinner, this is such a nice surprise. Should we open a bottle of wine? Online ordering is easy. Delivery was fast, the woman was nice, the pizza was piping hot when it arrived. I'm pretty sure they have options beyond pizza at Otto but I'll be honest - I'll probably order the same thing this week. And next week too. Oh my goodness! I love this pizza. I moved here 5 years ago from the New Haven area of CT. The pizza haven of the world. Though Otto's still isn't NH pizza it is indeed yummy! I love the Margherita. I get it with no sauce. Love love love it. The crust is very flavorful. The other thing is that you don't have to wait long when ordering. It's a really quick process. I use the app on a regular basis. They also have rewards! Lastly, and I'm not sure this is a good thing. Well not if I keep it up anyway. I eat the entire pizza all in one seating. Yikes! I just can't stop once I start. Lol It is delicious. So if you want flavorful dough, fresh topping, easy order process, a fast pie and a pleasant experience this is your place. read more

We decided to try Otto pizza for takeout with some friends recently. What a mistake. I ordered 2 pizzas. One margherita and one bacon potato. I figured they were safe choices since we had been to a few other Otto locations and loved them. I don't know if it's just this location or if Otto has just joined the chain that grew too large and now sucks restaurant group but it was almost inedible. We picked up 25 minutes after ordering based on being told it would be 20 minutes. In a 4 minute drive home the pizza was stone cold and dry as dust with little to no flavor. On a side note, we walked by the place a few nights ago and one of the employees in the kitchen had a tank top on with no bra in an open kitchen. Sorry, but this struck me as odd and really unprofessional. We won't be visiting this establishment again. A short drive over the bridge to Salem gives us at least 2 far superior options for pizza. read more

After moving to Salem 6 years ago, we sampled many pizza delivery places and were always disappointed. Flavorless, dry, late arrival, you name it... ick. Then our daughter suggested Otto Beverly and wa-LAH our Friday nite pizza night is back to being a thing of joy and anticipation. We can order at breakfast for delivery at 6PM and it always arrives on the dot, HOT. I mean you might even have to wait a minute so as to not burn your palate. The App is very user friendly and straightforward, it's easy to customize, add or remove ingredients, or get creative and build with your own toppings, and the check out process is also very easy and convenient. Pick-up time has always been as promised and the staff is friendly and attentive. We order the Margarita and Cheese pizzas. The crust is thin, crispy, and chewy and there's just the right amount of cheese without any grease or oil. The Margarita has a generous amount of fresh thin-sliced tomatoes and plenty of fresh-cut slivered basil.
