You will be sick with your stomach churning in pain and if you have wheat allergy be aware that they care more about the pennies they save by cutting corners and falsely advertising. My company ordered from this vendor and they irresponsibly with greed mentioned that they had a gluten free option. Upon calling to find out they admitted they use the shared equipment with flower dusted , don't clean the lines because it would delay their business and they even mentioned they offer as GF only not to loose the business but can not make it work ! I have lived in Beverly for 10 yrs decided to try Little Italy for the first time today. Service was substandard at best. I called to order the girl on the phone was like yeah hold on then hung up on me. Called back told her she hung up on me and not even a sorry just what do u want kind of attitude. Go in to get my pizza and standing at the counter no one looks up finally girl comes over asked my name got my pizza handed her my card and she wait to sign the receipt i did she handed me the receipt to sign and walked away no thank u no enjoy no nothing very rude!!!! Thank the powers that be that the pizza was actually good though got the meat lovers pizza it was very flavorful i might go back but they seriously need to work on their customer service skills !!!! This is the second and last time we're purchasing pizza from this place. We ordered a Pepper and Onion with traditional sauce. I am going to say the pizza looked undercooked and the crust was not crunchy and it tasted really doughy. The "Traditional" sauce was watery as well. I think they changed their crust. It used to be all bubbly and handmade looking with a crisp bottom and a firm delicious texture with nice mouth feel ... now it just looks like a homogenous frozen pizza and it is far more doughy than it used to be. I love this place. I wish I hadn't moved 900 miles away but each visit to Beverly means a trip to Little Italy. It's important to realize they use a sweet sauce on the pizza. The first time I tried it I thought it was terrible. Then a few weeks passed and I kept thinking about it. Finally I gave it another try and have been getting it ever since. I wish they'd bottle their sauce so I could have it more regularly. I'm not sure if the secret ingredient is still a secret but I've tried to make my own sweet sauce several times but it's never as good. read more

Little Italy offers great (thinner) pizzas with your more traditional savory sauce or a sweeter sauce. The sweet sauce is an acquired taste, but personally I enjoy the taste. The sweet sauce especially pairs well with salty savory meats such as the linguica, pepperoni, or sausage. On the other hand, their traditional sauce is savory and flavorful and more reminiscent of your traditional pizza. There isn't much more to say-- Little Italy offers great pizzas that come out quick. If you're looking to try something new, I recommend the sweet sauce, but for those that are less adventurous, stick with the traditional. read more

We've been ordering from Little Italy since 2005. My son loves their pizza so we get it from time to time even though I'm always reluctant to spend the money. Their pizzas are great most of the time (and when they're great, they're great!) but not all the time. Sometimes they are undercooked. They are old school. If this didn't get in the way of service, I wouldn't care, but it does. They don't take online orders and they don't have a proper phone system; person answering can barely hear you and has to put you on hold if they're busy. They use a not so good delivery service that you pay $5 for. If you don't remember to tell Little Italy to add a tip to your payment the delivery drivers get no tip. The delivery service is also inconsistent; the last time we ordered, the driver insisted on getting a signature on the check. When we didn't answer the door because we didn't hear the knock, (all other restaurants leave our order outside the front door) they brought the pizzas back to the restaurant. Little Italy proceeded to remake the pizzas - great, except we ended up waiting almost another hour for our delivery. In the past I've loved this pizza but just ordered for takeout over the phone and the employee who I spoke with caught me off guard with how rude he was. Talked down to me in a condescending, patronizing tone simply after asking if I'd be able to pay over the phone rather than in-store. Pizza is good, but you can most definitely get better quality pizza at a better price, with MUCH better customer service at a number of different restaurants in Beverly.
