Ordered a steak and cheese sub the other day. There was so much salt in it I couldn't eat it threw it in the trash. The menu on the wall print is so small you can't even read it. I stepped behind the counter to try and read it girl came out from the kitchen started yelling at me. You can't be back here. I said I'm just trying to read the menu. Sooooo bad! I ordered food for a work event. I purposely went online at 11:02 AM after they opened so I could make sure my delivery would arrive by 12 PM. At 11:50 AM I received a text message stating my order it was on its way by 12 PM. The Slice app showed the order was complete and it was being delivered. At 12:20, 30 minutes later, I called the restaurant and a man answered the phone, and when I asked for an ETA he told me to call the delivery driver and hung up. I obviously do not have the driver's phone number. So I called back and said I do not have the driver's phone number, do you know where my food is because now it's over 30 minutes since leaving? He said "I will call the driver, hold on" and then hung up on me. I called back and he said again hold on and hung up on me. I called again and no answer. I did a live chat with Slice. The rep said they called 10 times and never got an answer. Could I wait another 15 minutes? This is now an hour after it said my food left and my meeting was waiting for the food. I told the rep this was unacceptable and they confirmed my $100 order and where is my food? I call back and they answer and as I start to speak, they hang up on me again. Within a minute, I get another text message saying Center St. Pizza is too busy and has canceled my order. read more

I ordered 2 large pizzas to be delivered to my home , the delivery guy placed both boxes with the pizza in them to the ground outside of my front door, out in the open sky, didnt even ring the door bell, basically just left, both boxes where sitting on rock salt. I called the restaurant on the phone to put a complaint and the person I spoke to said that some customers prefer to leave their food on the ground, apparently to them some customers mean every customer !! this is deffinetly not acceptable!! apparently this is what you get when you call to put an order and pay for it over the phone and on top of it all i even added a 10 dollar tip to be added to the total bill for the delivery person. If I had payed it when the delivery person got here the food would be in delivery persons hands instead of on the ground!! I won't be calling them ever again. I have never in my entire life seen a restaurant leave food on the ground !! Totally discusting !!!! read more

We wanted Mexican food last night, our granddaughter wanted Chipolte so we got that for here and we went to Center St Pizza/Mexican. We each had the Enchiladas Supremas and they were delicious ! We are happy that we found this place and it's so close to our home. Looks like it's a family run establishment and not a corporate behemoth and it tastes like it too. read more

My daughter's 9th birthday was last week. Clearly we couldn't have the sleepover we had planned. Instead we did lunch, in PJs, over FaceTime. Centre Pizza was able to deliver pizzas to 5 different homes in Middleton, in less than 30 minutes, so the girls could all have lunch together at the same time! They were so kind and accommodating! I'm visiting the area for the summer; I love a good, crisp chef's salad, and a friend recommended this place; I was not disappointed; the lettuce, tomatoes, cucumbers, ham, and cheese were deliciously crisp; I have ordered a chef's salad once a week now, never disappointed. The only thing missing from the salad was a boiled egg, thus four stars. The gentleman behind the counter has been there all three times I've been in, I tell him how impressed I am with the chef's salad. There is ample, well-lit parking. read more

I ordered the chicken and broccoli over ziti with garlic butter sauce and a Greek salad with Greek dressing. Both portions were huge and delicious. Each order was enough for two days or two people. Vacationing in the area and I wanted to try pizza from out of state ! We ordered a sweet pizza (which we never had before ) fries with bbq sauce and cheesy bread with marinara ! We never had anything delivered to a hotel suite before but this place has no problem! My husband met the delivery guy down in the lobby ! Only complain I have is we added a note in the delivery for paper plates they were forgotten! But everything else was on point!!! Pizza was very delicious fries were excellent! Cheesy breed was great alot ! When we got back home I told all my friends and family about what SWEET PIZZA and I couldn't stop raving about it ! We live in New York , I have had pizza from a five star restaurant in Brooklyn and this pizza is up there with it ! Definitely will be going back if ever in the area again ! read more

Just spent 31.00 tip included. Ordered two pizza's and a fries. Delivered raw pizza fake pre-made dough . Requested pizza well done and crispy. With the fake dough it cannot be cooked well done because it gets like cardboard. So you all know I ate here many times pizza was real dough and everything was great. So if the real owner sees this review you know I won't be back or recommend your pizza ever. read more

Never got our food, so that's a bad start. Ordered pizza for delivery and it never showed up. Placed the order at 8:35 pm and was told it would be delivered at 9:05 pm. When the time had passed and no pizza showed up, we called just to make sure everything was ok and get an ETA. No one answered. Instead, we got a voicemail box saying that they closed at 9:00 pm. Tried to call several more times, just in case we might be able to get someone to answer, but no luck. And no pizza. Finally had to order from another place. Not a great way to run a business. Our whole office likes the food at Centre Street Pizza. The pizza is solid but the sandwiches are what I really like here. They have the basics plus a number of unique sandwiches named for classic movies/stars. My favorite is "The Sting". It is basically an Italian sub but they chop the meats on the grill with hot pepper mix and then throw on the provolone to melt and put it in a fresh roll. The chicken kebab and wraps are also very good. They figured out how to make them without drying out the chicken. If you eat there you will be entertained by whatever movie the staff puts on, a classic cartoon, or an episode of the 3 stooges. The staff are always friendly to boot and the service is quick. read more

Love the new owner!!! Stopped by with some friends for a pizza and sub and was shocked at the new management. Place is clean, and the food is spectacular now. 360 degree turnaround from the last owners who obviously didn't know how to run a business. My buddy Mike got a grilled chicken salad. Couldn't resist but take a bite. Absolutely amazing. Need to get that next time. Mario got the chicken finger dinner. Couldn't believe the fingers are homemade. Definitely recommend the pizza and fresh salads! Would give 10 stars if I could! read more

This establishment has been under new Managment which means new food. As a double edge sword that can go either way. The previous owners was a great family establishment which had people coming back, time and time again. The new owner is just as nice and personable and the staff is great as well. Everything about them is great. The previous owner did a great job with standards and this owner is keeping up his excellence. They now many hand made and cut chicken fingers, breaded themselves. Which are awesome. They also have spicy French fries including French fries, which I love and not many places have them anymore. They also have something called "Amazing Fries" and the name doesn't do it justice. Unfortunately they are TOO amazing and I could sit down and eat them constantly throughout the day. They are seasoned crispy French fries, with cheese on them (not just on the top, consistent cheesy goodness that will leave you wanting more) Their pizza is great as well, BBQ chicken pizza with ranch on it is awesome. I can't wait to go back and try the subs. As long as they stay on the path they are on, there is absolutely no reason they can't be in the top 10 on the NorthShore! It's great to see the new owners keeping the name and carrying the torch for the previous owners, who took a small sub shop and turned it into a restaurant. read more

just ordered a salad with grilled chicken, I was shocked at how quickly it was done, as a matter of fact, it even made me question that it was the correct order. When I got home less than 10 minutes later I found cold chicken. The food was decent enough where this would have honestly gotten the mediocre 3 stars. But when I called to ask if this was the case The person over the phone told me that they do not pre-cook the chicken and that it got cold from the temperature of the salad itself, and that they personally cooked it... I mean please I'm not a god damn idiot. I have ordered enough grilled chicken salads in my life to know that this is scientifically impossible. I will however say that they offered me the option to take it back, however, due to time constringes I couldn't. read more

I ordered the fish & chips tonight, waited twice as long as usual for the delivery from across the street, only to be overwhelmed by ammonia fumes the moment I took my first bite of fish, and then I noticed that the texture of the fish wasn't it's usual firmness & flakiness. I was torn---I hadn't eaten all day, but the last thing I needed at 8 pm was to be up sick all night. I called the restaurant back, and explained what I'd smelled and tasted. The man on the phone argued with me that he didn't put ammonia in his fish, & that it was "never more than 2 days old," before begrudgingly offering to replace it. To my great dismay, the 2nd plate's ammonia odor was worse (confirmed both times by my daughter, a major foodie)! This time, I went down and returned the meal in person. The same man, even angrier, yelled at me that he'd had to waste two orders of fish because I felt like it. I explained that I ordered from him frequently and had never once had a complaint, but that I was hungry and wanted to order dinner (I'd been at the hospital all day & evening with my daughter, who'd had day surgery; fortunately the chicken ceasar salad shed gotten delivered was perfect, but I was ready to pass out). Instead of simply taking my order for something else---I'd have eaten cardboard by that point---the man continued ranting about how I'd arbitrarily wasted his food, and waved his arms at me as he walked away. Although the shop was empty of customers for this entire bizarre scene, this owner apparently felt he no longer needed my patronage several times a month... I'm sad to say, that if that's the attitude of the person cooking my meals & taking my money a few times a week, I won't be needing his services anymore. read more

Pizza was always good here....I stopped in one Thursday around 11:45am and asked the owner if there were any slices ready.... He said yes....I then waited for a little more than 10 minutes and the owner handed me paper plate with s slice of pizza that looked like it was left over from night before...I still took a bite and realized it definitely was.... Left it on table and left....owner should be ashamed! Just the fact that I waited that long... They could have cooked a new pizza in the same time. read more

It took more than an hour for the food to be delivered, but I must admit that my Buffalo Chicken Calzone was delicious, and I don't think it was just because I was famished by the the time it arrived. I am actually giving it a 4-star not because of the delivery time (it was a Saturday night, after all) but because the blue cheese dressing that came on the side with my calzone was much less than desirable. I live right down the street and I work at a competing restaurant near by, but still find myself eating here more than at my job. Delicious. The owner is nice and funny and once even tried to pay me more money to work for him instead of my other job.
