Started going there more recently and trying other options besides their pizza and so glad I did. Pizza is great. Love the pizza by the slice. Large slices. Nice selection of tasty choices. I tried the turkey artichoke panini and fell in love with the fantastic combination of ingredients. Extremely tasty and filling. I tried there bowls and I received an abundant amount of fresh veggies and grilled meats. The customer service can be hit or miss but overall decent. read more

Service was fine I guess, a little rude. Location is fine. The food however was not. We ordered 2 small pizzas, one was chicken bacon ranch, and the other was buffalo. I was so excited to eat mine (the buffalo) and I saw the saddest pizza I've ever seen in my life. It was ice cold, ugly, and had no flavor at all. The chicken bacon ranch looked good, at least. Trash location. read more

I simply love their crispy thin crust pizza. Very friendly staff. Looking forward to my next visit.

Since they have changed owners a few years back this has become one of my favorite pizzas. Honestly I come & grab a few slices on lunch/ they also have a bar inside which is cool. No taps tho unfortunately. The buff chicken pizza & bbq chicken pizza are top tier for sure. Great attitudes & customer service from everybody I've talked to there. Cody & Kevin are great! read more

I thought I'd found a close to NY style pizza first time i went here back in November. Admittedly, I'm a pizza snob, so this was a great find. I went again last week and it was disappointing. Seems like something changed. Crust was too thin to fold (non-negotiable), sauce too sweet for my taste and skimpy cheese. It was a let-down. My search continues. read more

Don't get me wrong the pizza is very enjoyable and flavorful. Service is attentive and good as well. Cute Italian ambiance. BUT I got a Greek wrap today and when I got to work...3 min drive btw the bread was soaked and mushy and not worth the 12 dollars I paid for it. Frankly disappointed. I expected better. If they could just go a little easier on the dressing and not soak the wrap it would make it so much better. The ingredients in the wrap are very good just the wrap was like a wet rag read more

This place is horrible. I genuinely think you could get food faster and more accurate with coke and a toaster. We ordered a pizza and over an hour later the guy comes. Yippee. We ordered two pizzas and he gave us one. It wasn't even the pizza we ordered!!!!!!! We called back (me and my friend) and they charged us for both pizzas even though we received ONE and it wasn't what we ordered. Very dissatisfied. We needed to pay again to get our food. The only remotely good thing was the crust. It was as hard as bricks, but if you can chew it, it's tolerable. I genuinely think this place doesn't qualify the requirements of a healthy work environment. read more

According to my children, "The best Italian style pizza on the north shore." It's thin, it's crisp, there's a good amount of sauce that's not too sweet, and the cheeses aren't a pool of grease. Sandwiches are great too! We recently tried the calzones, They were a bit hit! read more

My husband went today to order a pizza. He sat at the bar for over ten minutes and was ignored by more than six staff members. No one asked approached him. To take his order. He walked out and no one seemed to care. I give this establishment zero stars read more

Brand new pizza place, they also have subs, panini, wraps, calzones, soup, & salad. I had a slice (which is really two) of the Roma tomato pizza (no sauce, garlic, olive oil, fresh basil). It was good, but not awesome. One of the better pizzerias in the area (there aren't too many I like here). Sadly, they do not have whole wheat crust. It was busy with eat ins and take outs on a Friday night. read more

I have ordered from this location a few times, twice to eat in and once to go. The two times I have eaten in we got a large cheese pizza and a chicken parm sub. We were very pleased with the food overall. On the one takeout it was close to closing time and the lady who took the order on the phone didn't seem thrilled I called. Ordered two large cheese pizzas. They came to around $22.00. We didn't inspect the pizzas in the shop but when we got them to their destination, less than 10 minutes away they were VERY BURNT. It is unfortunate because I wanted to share what I felt was good.pizza with 5 people who had never had it before but live close enough that they could get from here regularly if they choose. Also, they have two dedicated spots in their lot so street parking is typically a must. They have a nice tv, typically with a sporting event playing. Bathroom is clean and the variety of food choices is good. Not sure if they offer gluten free crust yet. read more

Typically love this place, but I think their game was off last night. Ordered a large cheese and a small Hawaiian for delivery. Delivery was fairly quick, and the pizzas were hot and fresh. Issue is that there was hardly any sauce on either of them and both pizzas were pretty flavorless as a result. Hopefully it was just an off night. read more

I'm very upset with my service tonight. I ordered one of their main pizzas, then asked for chicken then be added to it. Was told 30 minutes. My husband walked to get it, brought it home, the got home and realized there was no chicken on it, plus it was iced cold. Keep I mind we are a 3 minute walk away). We called to let them know and they were very rude about it, saying I never asked for chicken.. which I did. Not a huge deal, but still very rude to imply. Won't be back, even though we have been loyal customers for the past 3 years. read more

I went to this place for the first time last night after hearing good feedback from friends. Got four pizzas with a buddy of mine and I thought they were delicious...crust and sauce, both homemade, were outstanding. Here's the pie by pie details. Cali vegetable: very good looking pizza with some great flavor. Not "mucky" like many other vege pies. Verona (sweet sausage, ricotta, and caramelized onions): favorite of the night. Robust taste and great proportions of toppings. Steak bomb: very tasteful and good looking. Least favorite and still good: the chick parm...was looking for a little more flavor and it was a little too heavy on the ricotta. Maybe zip it up a little? I dig this place...easy five stars. Too bad it's a little too far from home for it to be the house "go to" pie. read more

Review is based on slices alone. Glad I stumbled into this place. I was craving some good quality slices and at $2 for a cheese slice, and $3 for their roma slice, these both satisfy my value/quality ratio. These aren't the typical greek-style slices you find in all the roast beef shops saturating the area. These are much larger and thinner, and about as close to a true NY slice you're gonna find around here. Cheese slice: 7/10 Roma slice: 9/10 read more

Good pizza joint....will I say best I have ever had... No... But a decent pie non-the-less. Called up to place an order for 2 cheese pies and the girl who took the order seemed less than thrilled to be taking it. Granted it was about 30 min to close... But didn't appreciate the curtness. Pies were a tad bit well done but still good. We were in and out like a flash so I can't really comment on anything else but... Cheese pizza. Have been here once in the past and again decent. read more

I ordered an Italian Panini for lunch today. I get back to work and the mozzarella and grilled onions were stuffed under the sandwich not even in between. Who the Hell does that????! It ruined my lunch I did not eat it and will never go there again and let all my co-workers know how nasty that is ! read more

Edit: The owner expressed concern with a considerate response. Updated rating to reflect his sincere message. End of edit. Careless with their orders and after informing us to pick up our pizza in 30 minutes, which we did, our pizza was cold. I'm sure it was ready well before 30 minutes and cooled down before I showed up. My error was trusting that our order was correct and drove off. It's a wonderful feeling to find out the order was wrong miles away, but this could have been avoided had the order been written down correctly by those we paid. Nothing like having cold pizza not made the way it was ordered. For the price one pays at this pizza shop, you'd think the workers would be a bit more on top of their game. Can't see any reason to come back. read more

I'm kind of picky with pizza. 90% of it falls into the "[Town Name] House of Pizza" category: Medium sized crusts with decent sauce and somewhat tasteless cheese. It's pizza, but it's nothing really memorable. Panini Pizzeria blows that stuff out of the water. My love for their pizza actually surprises me, because I'm usually a fan of the thick crust variety, and this place has some pretty thin crust. But everything about the pizza is so delicious that it far outweighs my bias. The crust is thin but chewy, and has a delicious yeasty taste, like rolls from a bakery. The sauce has to be made straight from tomatoes because it always tastes very fresh. And the cheese is high quality enough where you can actually taste the mozzarella flavor. Their specialty pizzas are great as well. I often have a slice of their white pizza with tomatoes. Yesterday I had a spinach and chicken piece, and while I normally avoid spinach it tasted great on this pizza. The cost is phenomenal too, when you consider the quality of ingredients. You'd pay $5 more for pizza that tastes half as good at the Upper Crust. My wife and I have lunch here and split 3 pieces and a soda for just under $8. And these are huge slices (think Sbarro). The place itself is super clean and has a nice ambiance, again, the opposite if your standard house of pizza. I have had both sandwiches and calzones here and while they were good, I couldn't help but regretting not getting the actual pizza. read more

Pros: 1.) A large cheese pizza is only $10.00. 2.) Their salad comes with fresh pita bread, which is delicious. 3.) They have wifi and lots of open tables for dine-in eating. Con: 1.) Customer Service sucks. Don't expect a smile from any employee. read more

Got the BBQ Chicken Pizza, and my wife got a grilled chicken salad. On the positive side, the pizza is thin crust and not greasy, but the dough tasted like bread-sticks, and while not burned, was overly dry. Toppings were a little sparse, and overall flavor was nothing to write home about. The salad was mostly iceberg lettuce, with minimal other greens, and didn't seem very fresh. She likes her salad dry, and didn't want cucumbers or green peppers. I watched the gal behind the counter taking them off a pre-prepared salad before they served it. There's only one off-street parking spot, which was occupied, and that necessitated a drive through the alley onto a side street before circling back to park on the street somewhere. We ate in, and were served on paper plates, plastic-ware in a bag, and the salad came in a plastic carry-out container, so don't expect any kind of "elegance" if you eat onsite. They had the Sunday afternoon football game on a HD TV, and even though there was only one other sit-in customer, the volume was up high enough the staff could watch the game. This will probably be a try-it-once restaurant for us. read more

THIS REVIEW IS FOR THE WENHAM LOCATION:158 MAIN STREET. After five visits, with every pizza consistently good, I'd say it's time for me to write a review. I live in North Beverly, & for a while have been looking for really good pizza very close by, for those nights when I'm too lazy to even drive to downtown Beverly. Now I have found it! I would describe the crust as medium-thin. While it lacks that super thin crunch of a Santarpio's, it's still thin enough to make me feel that I'm eating a real pizza. Also, this crust has a great, fresh taste. I like the sauce: good combination of tomato & spice, & a just right portion on the pie. toppings are also very tasty & fresh. Nice menu, Including specialty pizzas, calzones, & sandwiches. Overall, a great pizza. It's quickly becoming my "go to" pizza shop. read more

This place makes fantastic Italian-style pizza pies. I have never gotten any of their sandwiches, because the pizza is that good. One can really taste the quality ingredients when one orders just a plain cheese, nothing to get in the way of their amazing fresh sauce and top notch dough. The cheese its great and never too greasy like Rocco's down the street. I agree with others in saying that it could very well be the best pizza on the northshore. Price is very reasonable and the staff is friendly to boot. I have friends who live in Beverly that will make the drive to Danvers just to pick up a pie to go. Additionally, they offer free wifi, which is great and a rare thing in Danvers. I have run into situations where local teenagers are hanging out in there, nursing a slice of cheese and acting obnoxious, loud, and rude... but you can only blame that on today's parents, not the restaurant. Danvers itself has a terrible parking situation as it's basically one main drag with neighborhoods on either side. Panini's has only one dedicated parking spot for customers, and unfortunately that seems to be often used by their delivery drivers. You'll find the tiny side street that the establishment is located on to be full of their take out customers, and on more than one occasion I've had to circle the surrounding streets waiting for a nearby spot to open. You can't blame this on the restaurant either, as that is par for the course in downtown Danvers. The one suggestion I would make is that along with the crushed red pepper and parmesan cheese they have out for those eating there, that they also offer a shaker of oregano as well. Most places offer all 3 and I'm always wishing I had a bit to sprinkle on the pie before I dig in. When that's all I can think of for an improvement, you know they're doing something right. Update (8/11/13): They have added an oregano shaker! read more

This family-owned business is more than a pizzeria. They have a wide selection of sandwiches, paninis, wraps, calzones, salads, soup, and my new favorite Danvers pizza! The pizza crust is made fresh daily, and they coat the bottom with cornmeal or something to add an extra crispiness. Yum! They have caramelized onions that are so sweet. I have had them on both pizza and in a panini. The vegetarian panini was specially made by the owner for me! He tries to accommodate all of his customers, which is rare nowadays. My 10 year old son loves their cheese pizza, and he is very picky. So what if they don't have whole wheat? Sometimes you just gotta indulge. read more

Tasty Paninis and friendly service too... I was looking for something new and the brain responded by saying what about something different. I remember driving by this small pizza shop in downtown Danvers. Now it was time to investigate. The parking is very limited. The shop is small with a fair amount of seating with a nice jumbo plasma tv on the wall. The staff was friendly and accommodating with my order. After looking over the menu I decided to go the Honey Ham and Cheese would do the trick. This was a finely constructed sandwich which hit the spot just right. So if you have ever wondered if this little shop was worth dropping in the answer is a definite yes! read more

I was driving through Danvers one day on my way to a friends house and decided to stop in and order a pizza from this place. I have to say that I was fairly surprised. I was expecting typical suburban pizza, but ended up receiving a very tasty and memorable pizza experience. The italian style crust is not too thick or thin, it's a perfect balance of crispy and soft. The sauce is very flavorful and a little sweet. The cheese is high quality and the toppings are fresh and plentiful. In short, I'm just going to say that it's a great place to visit if you're in the area. My friends and I have been here a few times since then. The Roma specialty pizza is excellent. If you're really hungry, go for the steak bomb pizza. They make the best one I've had anywhere. read more

Great food! Stopped here as we were heading out of the Salem area for lunch. My husband and I split a small pizza and a panini. The Italian panini...yum. Very tasty, bread was fresh, and ingredients complimented each other. For the pizza, we did one half panini combo and one half chix parm. Both delicious...I would def say the chix parm pizza is a must try. read more

This place moved in right down the street from me. Kind of dangerous actually. My boyfriend and I are total pizza snobs, but this place is fantastic. I'm at a loss for the names of the pizza, but I believe the California Veggie is delicious. The crust is also very good not too thin, but not thick. I've also become a fan of the Roma Tomato, which is a white pizza, but the staff are always able to make it red for me and my guy. The panini's are very tasty as well. I got the asiago roast beef and it was heavenly. The staff is quick and accommodating and it is a cute little cafe. I think I noticed a little table and some chairs set up outside which should make the food that much more enjoyable. Wouldn't tonight be a great night for pizza? read more
