Came in Thursday 1/8 early around 5pm. A few people at that time but continually filled as the night went on. Being early gave me time to speak with the bartender Alex. Great guy to talk to, funny, makes a great martini. Food - Kung pow cauliflower A, came up temp hot and spicy hot, perfect. Well presented. Chicken teriyaki pocket A+. I've had it so many times at the old Brodies but this was the best ever. Huge, toasted pita, hot steak fries. My friend had the steak tips, cooked as he wanted, great flavor and the sides were good. Drinks - Beefeater martini well done. I asked for a Pinot Noir from my favorite area, the Willamette Valley Oregon, which they were out of but they had a replacement which was from the same region and on special so thumbs up. They have an upstairs cocktail lounge and i asked for something sweet and Paige made a mezcal cocktail which also was A+. Not sure of the ingredients but doesn't matter. Ambience - A+. Sparkling clean, superb lighting, wall paper and decor spot on, even the bathrooms are amazing. read more

My husband and I sat at the bar this past Saturday and were waited on by Greg. He made a great Cosmo! We shared their mussel appetizer and pork chop dinner special. Both dishes were delicious and plentiful. The bar area had good energy, and I love how the place is decorated. The barstools were plaid. It reminded me of a British pub. I'm a big a big fan of of Brodie's whether it's the seafood or the chicken the hamburgers are delightful. Sandwiches are great of course the Reuben I couldn't say much of, but you might not be able to eat all so you'll take some home with french fries and onion rings. Also, the chili is pretty good. I ordered a salad for take out which looked good but did not come with salad dressing. Did not want to eat it "dry" so went hungry for the afternoon and took it home for dinner. Loving the vibe at the renovated Brodie's. Service, food and vibe are always great. I have never had a bad meal here. We prefer the bar but have sat at table and always gotten great service. RIP Brodies Pub. First time in since the renovation. Everything that I loved about Brodies is gone: the atmosphere, the people, the food, the drinks. What was a locally loved pub that catered to the blue collar crowd is now no more. This is now Brodies Fine Dining. The heart and soul are gone. As well as the personable staff, the honest drinks, and the good grub cooked on the open grill behind the bar. I'm sure the owners will take in a greater profit (if/when they eventually pay off the renovation). This should really be listed as a new restaurant as any review older than 3 months is now null and void. And the damn barstools are not comfortable at all. Vodka drink was weak AF. Food was meh. The staff has zero personality. And who TF is picking out the music? Big swing and a miss by ownership. I'm sure it's busy right now bc it's new and on past reputation. But that's not gonna last. We had a great dinner at Brodie's in Peabody! The food was delicious, the atmosphere was welcoming, and the service really stood out. Our server, Sailer, was fantastic--attentive, friendly, and made sure everything was perfect throughout our meal. Management was also very pleasant and made us feel genuinely appreciated as guests. Very disappointed. We were a group of four. The hostess sat us but then acknowledged the table was a tight squeeze and suggested we move. We were then sat in an 'L' Shaped booth where 3 of the 4 of us sat on one side of the table, not facing each other. Observation - Not a good restaurant for parties larger than 2. We ordered our drinks and one appetizer. Our waiter was aloof and forgot to put in our main course order. After some time past by, and we had long finished our wings I went to him to ask if there was a delay. He admitted he for got to take the entree order out of HOLD and blamed the POS. When our food finally came out, my steak tips were cold as was the soup my wife ordered. She sent hers back to get warmed. Myself and the other 2 in the group were done eating by the time to soup came back out - after the fact we were told they don't have a microwave. Very little effort was made by our server to be apologetic about the mishaps. Renovation looks great, not a good spot to dine with a group of friends, perhaps best for just drinks. Food wasn't worth going back for, poor service and it didn't appear there was any presence of an owner or Manager to help rectify what are normal mishaps. Been dining out plenty where all it takes is a simple 'Sorry about that, let me knock the soup off the bill or can I offer you a dessert.' That builds customer loyalty. read more

Have been to the old Brodies and loved the food. The new incarnation of the restaurant is admittedly beautiful outside and inside and the staff is lovely. The food so far has been a let down. Was desperate to give it another chance and took my mom last night. Another fail. The first time I went since the reopening was about a month ago. I ordered a salad with steak tips and the steak tips were the worst I've ever had in my life. I asked for the medium rare. They came out red in the center and cold, which was fine. I asked them if they could take the steak tips back and cook them more which they happily did, but were returned to me once again still red and cold on the inside. The good news is they were perfect for my dog. My husband got a chicken wrap sandwich. The pita style bread looked like it was uncooked. It was so white. Unappetizing to look at and didn't taste much better. It immediately fell apart in your hands. A tasteless mess. Last night, I took my mom and figured we would order something safe. We tried the baked brie. I asked the bartender if it was good if she would recommend it, she assured me it was very good and had some sort of a blueberry compote or jam. Maybe it's me, but I thought baked brie sounded like it would be served warm. I did not ask. It arrived cold or room temperature with no jam. They threw on a few blueberries. It was served with sourdough bread, sliced, and grilled that tasted like it was prepared at lunchtime. Bread was rock hard and cold. Being someone who loves cheese and bread I couldn't imagine there was much of a chance it could fail. Next came the fish and chips. The beer, battered fish was light and flaky and hot and delicious. The fries came out cold, wilted and tasteless. The restaurant is so cute and the staff is wonderful, but after two attempts, sad to say it but definitely will not be returning. :( read more

We are long time customers of Brodie's in Peabody. We were sad when it closed and so glad when it reopened. If you are looking for the same type of pub and food then don't try the new place. It was very disappointing. The entire place is a loud bar with few tables. We never thought we would need a reservation on a Wednesday night. We put our name in and were told 30 minutes. After about 45 we asked and the hostess pointed to a table and said as soon as they get up it's yours. Wrong! They seated another party there. The manager came over to apologize after we were there an hour and make an excuse that hostess was new. He told us he would send a couple of appetizers to our table. We confirmed with the waiter before ordering. Wrong again! We were charged. At the end he made a compromise and only charged for one. Bottom line. Brodie's as we all knew it and loved is gone! The new place is just not our vibe. No need to return. They are overpriced and totally don't know what they are doing. read more

We went in on a pack Saturday night. The pub was filled with people; narrow walk through the bar to the back end where dining was. Was cramp but I appreciate the acknowledgement from staff right away when we made it to the end. Seating was 10mins and while we wait, the waiter/host didn't walk away without offering a drink. Which I also can appreciate about their staff because we didn't have to fight the bar crowd for the bartender attention. And were able to stand around and sip on our beer as we waited for the table to open up. Food was amazingly presented and good. I had the crab and shrimp martini and the lamb sliders. Although it was only apps, I was pretty happy it came out quick despite how full and busy the bar was. Only thing I regret was not asking for med rare on the sliders. I definitely would like to go in on a less crowded night. Seem like a chill spot to have a cold one or two. read more

I love this little hole in the wall pub in Peabody center. The food is delicious and higher quality than usual pub fare. I love their grilled marimated portabella sandwich and order it (without cheese) most times I visit. It's delicious! My other tablemates are always happy with their food choices too, from juicy bacon cheeseburgers to vegi plates. The resturant section of the pub is never too crowded to find a seat at dinnertime. Just walk past the bar if you want to sit at a table. I've only gotten soda, but I've heard they serve pretty strong drinks too. read more

The teriyaki chicken pita was so large that I took half of it home. I loved the french fries there as well. The atmosphere is easy going but as another reviewer wrote it feels like everyone watches you come in(it could just be the setup of the bar as it is very narrow). My husband & I have been on the north shore for about 5 years now and like a fine wine, Brodies has only gotten better with age ! We do not go as much as we would like, but when we do go everything is top notch. From the most friendliest and sweetest servers around (the servers also are the bartenders!--they bust their @$$) to the 5 star food quality, your eyes and belly will not be disappointed ! I tell everyone: the outside may look a little deceiving since you can't really check out the inside from the street, but thats the best part ! The mysteriousness from the outside MAKES you want to be part of whatever is going on inside- Lately they have been playing BLUES music and that is an added bonus , for sure. No matter when you go, what you get, you will always be served the best quality of food with a genuine smile. I don't even know the owners that well but I hope they last for a long time & i am more than excited to support them when they open up at a bigger location across the street. This is a small little local dive bar that has terrible food and is a bit pricey for what they served. I ordered Haddock and my girlfriend ordered steak tips. The haddock wasn't flaky like it is supposed to be and almost tasted slimy. The steak tips tasted as if they were from a chuck roast and overcooked. It's not very big and when we walked in, it was obvious that people love ''tis place because it was crowded. We immediately started chatting with a nice couple that were locals and very familiar with the restaurant while we were waiting and they confirmed that the food is great. While we were waiting, we both had a beer and I was happy with the selection as well as the price. I had a burger and my boyfriend had the steak tips. The food was excellent as was the service. I cannot say enough about this place. It's definitely a local pub with a townie feel but leave your judgments at home and just come relax for a little bit. I come here mostly for the food, which is amazing. Everything is always cooked to preference and perfection. I usually order a blackened chicken ceasar salad, and let me tell you when I say this is my go-to dish and its only made correct 1 out of 15 times ordered when i'm out. Of course, it's still the old Brodie's that everyone knows and loves but he has added specials such as fantastic fish tacos and seafood platters. Came here last night for a couple of drinks and an appetizer and the woman bartender was attentive and extremely friendly. We just ordered mozzarella sticks because we didn't want something too large and they were clearly not the cheap, frozen kind. They were large and not too greasy at all. The marinara wasn't watery, but instead had some nice tomato chunks to it. My gin and tonic was fueled, but tasted great. This is always a spot that gets packed so expect to wait if you're looking for a table but it is well worth the wait- especially when the prices aren't terrible. Always a great spot for drinks and food! Will always recommend to anyone in the area for a spot where the locals go. read more
