    Club sandwich platter

May 4, 2024 IF you take nothing else away from this review, take this: STAY AWAY FROM THIS RESTAURANT. I have had a worse lunch experience maybe two other times in my 50+ years. That's how bad this one was. In order of priority, let's review: the French Onion soup was salty and one-note. The cheese that they used - instead of Emmentaler or similar - was mozzarella or another least-cost cheese. It wasn't even put under the broiler properly!! Beyond those faults, the onions weren't sliced properly and were too large. The bottom line was that it wasn't worth eating. ($5.99) The Turkey Club sandwich that I ordered ($13.99) was.... Horrible. I had ordered it without the red onion that the menu said they used - since I'm allergic to the damned red bulbs- but it still came to the table with them plainly evident. I called my waitress and pointed it out to her and she was embarrassed for the restaurant because she had done her duty and notified the kitchen (see attached photo). When the turkey club was re-made and brought to the table, I discovered that it was truly terrible- since they smeared it with a god-awful chipotle garlic aioli mayonnaise that completely destroyed the underlying flavors of the sandwich. Worse, the French fries- which I have to admit were sparkling hot and fresh - were so covered with a Tex-Marx seasoning that they were inedible. I ended up taking them home and putting them in my mulch bucket. The only thing that was served that I judged decent was the coffee. I had a Groupon for $20.00, so the "meal" came to $3.10. I left a tip of $3.90 because I felt bad for my waitress, Lisa. One final thing: the restaurant has pretty much the worst ambience of any place that I've been into as a customer in 20+ years. The music is loud, intrusive, and obnoxious. I should have known better, but I didn't leave when I first heard it. Do yourselves a favor and keep your distance from this place. It's awful and really should be put out of its misery- like a rabid animal.

    Stuffed Mushrooms

Ordered well before closing, these mushroom bites weren't it but I liked the idea with the clam. At least we got a laugh out of the sad amount when we opened the box and saw this for 11$

Plow the parking lot and salt the walkway for your customers' safety! It shows how little you care about your customers

Dirty, run down and slow service even with no one in the restaurant. Would never go back.

Today started as a heavy one. My family and I were remembering my father-in-law on the anniversary…read moreof his passing, and after leaving the cemetery with our daughters and our granddaughter, we wanted to go somewhere simple and warm where we could keep talking and just be together. My younger daughter suggested Daily Harvest Cafe in Danvers, and it turned out to be exactly what we needed. Inside, the girls ordered coffee, my granddaughter happily went straight for an M&M cookie, and my younger daughter told me I had to try something called the "Fluff Bucket," which she said had gone viral on TikTok. I am a lifelong fluff fanatic, so there was no chance I was passing that up. When I went up to the counter, I was greeted by the warmest, kindest woman with the brightest smile. I told her I had just heard about the Fluff Bucket and that as a serious fluff lover I had to try it. She laughed and said she would make one for me right away. I had no idea at the time that she was the owner. I just knew she was someone who made me feel genuinely welcome in a moment when that meant more than she could possibly know. And let me tell you, the Fluff Bucket absolutely lived up to the hype. Smooth, creamy, perfectly sweet and sticky, blended with espresso, topped with fluff and mini marshmallows... it was like a dessert and a coffee had a beautiful, indulgent baby. Pure comfort in a cup. When I brought it back to the table, both of my daughters immediately said, "So you got one? You're going to love it." My younger daughter then told me that the woman I had been chatting with was actually the owner. That made the experience even more special. Her warmth, her kindness, and that simple human moment of being greeted with a smile on a difficult morning stayed with me as much as the drink itself. We ended up lingering longer than we planned. My granddaughter enjoyed a grilled cheese after her cookie, and I grabbed a bag of raspberry-filled shortbread cookies that instantly reminded me of hamantaschen around Purim. Everything felt thoughtful, comforting, and made with care. Daily Harvest Cafe was not just a place to grab coffee today. It was a place that helped turn a solemn morning into one with a few smiles, some sweetness, and a feeling of being looked after. I will absolutely be back, and I cannot recommend it enough. If you go, get the Fluff Bucket, and know that you are walking into a place run by someone who truly knows how to make people feel welcome.

It gave me time to sit in their beautiful sunlit window and look around at how nicely the cafe was decorated. The cafe was clean and of course most importantly my espresso was smooth and delicious. The coffee is really well-made, though if you're ordering one of their specialty drinks, just a heads-up that they lean a little on the sweeter side. As for the food, the portions are huge! We ordered a side of bacon and I'm pretty sure we ate about 10 pieces and still left with a box. While the pancakes were just okay and probably something I'd skip next time to make room for new items, the rest of the meal was solid enough to keep me coming back. One thing you have to try is their signature ketchup. It's super interesting--almost like a cross between American Ketchup and Asian Banana Ketchup. We definitely needed a few extra helpings of ketchup for our eggs and hash bowl! The atmosphere is such a vibe, too; it has this modern-meets-ranch feel with a super cute rooster mural on the wall that ties it all together. Plus, the staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming from the moment we walked in. It's a great spot to fuel up for the day!
