Today started as a heavy one. My family and I were remembering my father-in-law on the anniversary of his passing, and after leaving the cemetery with our daughters and our granddaughter, we wanted to go somewhere simple and warm where we could keep talking and just be together. My younger daughter suggested Daily Harvest Cafe in Danvers, and it turned out to be exactly what we needed. Inside, the girls ordered coffee, my granddaughter happily went straight for an M&M cookie, and my younger daughter told me I had to try something called the "Fluff Bucket," which she said had gone viral on TikTok. I am a lifelong fluff fanatic, so there was no chance I was passing that up. When I went up to the counter, I was greeted by the warmest, kindest woman with the brightest smile. I told her I had just heard about the Fluff Bucket and that as a serious fluff lover I had to try it. She laughed and said she would make one for me right away. I had no idea at the time that she was the owner. I just knew she was someone who made me feel genuinely welcome in a moment when that meant more than she could possibly know. And let me tell you, the Fluff Bucket absolutely lived up to the hype. Smooth, creamy, perfectly sweet and sticky, blended with espresso, topped with fluff and mini marshmallows... it was like a dessert and a coffee had a beautiful, indulgent baby. Pure comfort in a cup. When I brought it back to the table, both of my daughters immediately said, "So you got one? You're going to love it." My younger daughter then told me that the woman I had been chatting with was actually the owner. That made the experience even more special. Her warmth, her kindness, and that simple human moment of being greeted with a smile on a difficult morning stayed with me as much as the drink itself. We ended up lingering longer than we planned. My granddaughter enjoyed a grilled cheese after her cookie, and I grabbed a bag of raspberry-filled shortbread cookies that instantly reminded me of hamantaschen around Purim. Everything felt thoughtful, comforting, and made with care. Daily Harvest Cafe was not just a place to grab coffee today. It was a place that helped turn a solemn morning into one with a few smiles, some sweetness, and a feeling of being looked after. I will absolutely be back, and I cannot recommend it enough. Busy cafe. The staff were working so well together. In a small cafe with probably 30 people I had my drink in hand in less than 3 minutes after placing my order. It gave me time to sit in their beautiful sunlit window and look around at how nicely the cafe was decorated. The cafe was clean and of course most importantly my espresso was smooth and delicious. Went for coffee to meet a couple moms with our kids and have a coffee - turns out they've just gone viral on social media for a novelty flavored bucket of coffee, and it was PACKED! We had a little wait for each of our orders, but definitely reasonable given the crowd! Service was very friendly, they had everything we could want to fit all the varying ages and tastes in our group. We enjoyed sitting in their side patio under a nice umbrella, which protected from the light drizzle that eventually made its way through the area. It's unfortunate that one worker can ruin the entire experience. I couldn't get a full sentence out before being cut off by one of the staff. I wanted to ask if there was any recommendations to make something similar to one of their buckets in a smaller version, but I was constantly cut off before I could just ask for a recommendation. Went here today for the first time! Great menu with hot and cold options. Nice selection of breakfast and lunch sandwiches, soups and salads. On site parking. Indoor and outdoor seating. Very kind and welcoming staff who genuinely seemed happy to be there. Got a yummy chai tea with homemade oat milk. Large panini and wrap with fresh ingredients. The bakery items are fresh and they have a number of tasty items on their lunch menu. The one food I would skip here is the chicken. I've had a salad with chicken and their chicken and avocado sandwich and the meat is always very dry and really not edible. Go for the meatloaf sandwich or hamburger. read more

Honestly I'm so sad to write this review cause I used to LOVE this place. In the past two years, I've had mini flys in my food (as pictured) and a piece of a plastic utensil INSIDE of my wrap, that cut the inside of my mouth when I bit into my wrap. Is the staff nice? Yes. Atmosphere? great. But the risk of getting a bad experience with their food, seems to be high lately. Who wants to bite into an expensive sandwich and find FLYS?! This place is a tad bit expensive but you get what you pay for in my opinion. The food is super fresh, unique recipes and friendly staff. They offer a bunch of gluten free option which was important to me at a time. I personally think the meatloaf sandwich is out of this world and the soups all seem to be a huge hit during this terrible New England winters. Love Daily Harvest cafe! The food and coffee is always fresh, delicious, and served with a smile. Staff is super friendly and accommodating. My favorite breakfast is the veggie sunrise wrap and the Chloe sandwich for lunch features the most delicious cranberry orange mayo! I love that their breakfast wraps and sandwiches have freshly cooked eggs, not the microwaved patties you sometimes find in other coffee shops. We come here year round, but I especially love DH around the holidays. I have family in Danvers and visit Daily Harvest Cafe every time I visit them. Daily Harvest use to have incredible breakfast offerings, from delicious omelettes to wonderful egg dishes, but now their menu is entirely carb-loaded. I am a type-1 diabetic and must avoid carbs. All of the wonderful omelettes have been replaced with sandwiches/bagel offerings, which I can not eat. Even the veggie wrap was over 90% rice, which I had to throw away as rice raises my blood sugar levels through the roof. As a side note, the offerings aren't cheap, so spending a small fortune on a rice-loaded wrap is absurd. I even tried replacing potatoes with a side-salad, but that wasn't allowed. The only thing I could safely eat were hard boiled eggs out of the refrigerator. What a let-down! The lack of consideration for diabetic dietary preferences amidst such drastic menu changes is perplexing. Diabetes is not an uncommon condition and it's well known that we can't easily and safely consume carbohydrate-heavy meals. Despite these shortcomings, Daily Harvest does exhibit some positive attributes. The counter/wait staff are very friendly and the environment (esp. the patio) is charming. I regret not being able to provide a more favorable review as I had previously enjoyed visiting this establishment. I remain hopeful that on my next visit, the menu will have undergone revisions that better accommodate diabetic-friendly preferences like mine. Stopped by this am.... Been there a dozen times previously... always thought the place was overrated... food is mid at best but certainly has a cult following. Easy access to the highway so stopping there has been better than Dunkin' Donuts. Regardless, today I grabbed a coffee and two boiled eggs.... Jumped into by vehicle and was on the highway for protein packed mobile food. I bit insideI the first egg and the inside was RANCID. Almost puked in my vehicle.... Crappy tasting food is one thing, rancid food that's a public health concern is another. First, heads up, it seems like you can place a takeout order through Yelp but the cafe does NOT partner with Yelp or Grubhub. It's a goof on Yelps end and your order will seem like it went through, then get canceled. The cafe is great though. I really enjoyed my vegetarian breakfast wrap and will go back to try other stuff. Quaint, cozy, cute little cafe right off highway 128! Perfect for a quick bite to eat or carry-out, not as ideal for dining-in though as they have limited seating and they get taken quickly, especially on the weekends. Although the seats aren't comfortable, the ambiance is pleasant with the cozy-cafe-feel. You order at the counter, get your coffee/drinks, and then sit down and they bring the food to you. The wait in line took 3 minutes and it took about 5 minutes to get our food! I ordered the "Cafe Breakfast" which included two eggs, bacon or sausage (I opted for sausage) and then homefries and wheat or white toast (I opted for gluten-free toast for $1 extra). One word: SCRUMPTIOUS! My eggs were cooked to perfection (over-easy), the two sausage patties were a decent size, the homefries were seasoned well and crisp, and the gluten-free toast was so tasty and buttered! YUM! My fiance ordered the tex-mex wrap, which was a decent size as well. He said it was pretty good, but lacked something he couldn't quite figure out. He was still hungry after finishing his wrap, which didn't come with any sides, but luckily I was given a TON of homefries with my meal so we shared those. Coffee could have been stronger IMO, but then again I like super dark/bold coffee so I'm sure it's perfect for typical coffee drinkers. There aren't free refills on coffee if you dine-in, which isn't ideal, but oh well the food made up for it. This was honestly one of the best breakfasts I've had in a while. So I'm asking for coffee. They began by running down all the flavors they have, I should've known right then and there. I was stuck as the Dunks next door was under renovation and I usually prefer a smaller shop anyway. So, after all the flavors were offered I asked for something without a flavor. They told me they had a decaf and a house brew hot and also cold. I asked what the bean was and if the roast was strong, she said medium. Ok, then she offered the cold brew, which I thought was a darker roast or maybe just a stronger brew, I said great, I'll have that and a muffin. In fairness to the store they were almost closed but they still seemed as if they were willing to make pretty much anything on the menu, cool I thought. Anyway, I got the cold brew 24oz for $4.75 and the muffin for $3.25 brining my total to $8. Ok, that would be absolutely fine if the muffin and coffee were good, they were far from it. The muffin was stuck to the paper it was wrapped in and tough and the cold brew iced coffee had that stale taste as if it had been brewed and stored for awhile. I wish I could have a conversation with the owner and let them know that they should probably do things a little better especially when they're going to charge premium for goods. This little cafe is such a true gem! I came here for breakfast and they have such an amazing menu. The use cage-free omega eggs which I really appreciate. The pricing is really great for such high quality, authentic food. My favorite part is that their coffee flavors are ROASTED and not syrup!!! They have flavors such as snickerdoodle, banana, French vanilla, hazelnut and blueberry- all roasted and no syrup! Roasted flavors taste so much better than artificial sugary fake syrups. The vibe inside the restaurant is really comfortable and they have a very nicely array of seating options. The staff is extremely friendly, efficient and authentic. Quick convenient, and easy going. This place takes your order and pleasantly provides great service. I especially like their breakfast sandwiches and the coffee and pastries are delicious too. I'm a bacon girl. Ask any of my friends. But I go absolutely gaga over Daily Harvest's sausage, egg, & cheese breakfast sandwich. I started off with the bacon egg and cheese, but even when you order the bacon extra crispy (just the way I like it), it's still going to get soggy when smooshed inside a sandwich. I usually have to order my egg "well done" as I've had many experiences where I have been stuck with a sandwich where the yolk is runny and that is a no-no in my book. It depends on who's working the grill, but I like to play it on the safe side and add that note to my order. Not sure if it's because I usually show up closer to lunch than breakfast, but they seem to run out of plain bagels pretty quick. I call it a lucky day if they still have some available. But if not, the onion bagels are pretty tasty. Sometimes the food is ready in a jiff and other times, if it's a busy morning, it'll take a little longer. But that's not a problem with all the TV's they have set up around the place airing whatever is on Food Network. As a foodie (with no cable), I enjoy getting a chance to catch up on some of the food shows that I miss at home. Coffee is a hit or miss. Some of the girls are really good at making it just the way I like, but other times, the ratio can be a bit off. I prefer their flavored iced coffee, but sometimes I've gotten a cup where it tastes like the coffee has been sitting there a while and it tastes off. I've given up and just settled on their regular blend. If it wasn't for convenience sake, I'd probably get my coffee from the Dunkin Donuts next door. Service is always great and the food is always fresh. And those are the reasons I choose to go there for breakfast almost once every weekend. Saturday I stopped by Daily Harvest to grab some lunch to go. I ordered the hummus garden wrap but as a salad since I was able to eat the bread due to a dairy allergy. The salad came in a very small container about the size of which I would consider a side salad (see picture). It was $7. The young guy who took my order asked if would still like a pickle on the side to which I replied yes and then when asked if I would like an apple or carrots I said an apple. Shortly after ordering when my name was called I grabbed my bag and left. Upon my arrival to my house, I was greatly disappointed in the size of the salad and there was no pickle or apple to be found. I'm all for supporting local business, but I've had nothing but issues with Daily Harvest cafe lately. Some of the staff there are either rude, or have no training in dealing with customers. Their food is wonderful, nothing wrong in that department. But a couple weeks ago I called in an order and went to pick it up, the girl handed me my drink but not my food. So I figured it was not ready yet so I stepped to the side, 10-15 minutes later I asked the girl at the register if my order went through? She looked right next to her and my food was sitting there the whole time. Then today I went to get a late lunch and grabbed 2 hard boiled eggs to go with it, I get home and open them, they are so rotten and disgusting smelling I wanted to puke. I called them to tell them about it, the girl on the phone said oh OK thanks. Didn't even say sorry or offer me money back. A fantastic restaurant for breakfast and lunch. Very vegetarian/health conscious friendly. I had the veggie burger. It was fantastic. Though I'm not sure I'd call it a burger because it came on two slices of their home made bread and wasn't actually a burger. But it was fantastic whatever you want to call it. The breakfast I wasn't as big a fan of. The service was much slower in the morning and I'm pretty sure they mixed up a bunch of orders. Eating outside on a summer morning was a good choice though. The coffee drinks are wonderful. I had the Reese's latte. Peanut butter and chocolate latte? That's a dessert. It was too good. The parking is terrible. Its a tiny little lot and definitely not adequate for the amount of service they get. Unfortunately there are downsides. I suggest getting your order to go. The line takes up too much space in the restaurant. There's not enough seating. They are in dire need of expanding.
