Panic

We recently spent several days in Swampscott on a family vacation. While out for a walk we noticed everyone lined up for Lincoln's Landing. My parents absolutely love breakfast and we decided to give it a try. The Blueberry French toast was delicious. My dad had eggs and bacon and my mom had the pancakes. My father couldn't stop raving about the food. The staff were friendly and the restaurant is quaint. I would recommend this restaurant if you love breakfast.

Breakfast Sandwhich and Homefries

Hands down one of the best breakfast spots around. The breakfast sandwich on a perfectly flaky croissant was outstanding, paired with some of the best home fries I have ever encountered, crispy, well-seasoned, and clearly made with care. The homemade muffin was exceptional (the kind you remember), and the sausage links deserve special mention, rich, flavorful, and cooked just right. Simple breakfast food done exceptionally well with the nicest team in a cute seaside location. I'll be telling everyone I know it's worth the trip!

half sandwich to take home, turkey, cheddar, really good.

The food is very good. The restaurant is crowded and a bit loud. It has been around for decades now, has reliable, consistent, good food, and because it is a popular place, you often have to wait for a table. My friend got a breakfast sandwich and I got the turkey which is roasted in-house, bacon, cheddar on sourdough panini. So good. I would get exact same thing again. Sammie was big, took half home. Idk water's name, but she was fabulous. Iced decaf was good but not on par with coffee places. I gave 4 stars because it is so crowded and loud and busy that not optimum. Not a place you are able to relax and hang around. But I would definitely go back.

Nice little breakfast spot. We visited on a Sunday morning and there was a good crowd. Food was very good and they made sure to keep my husband's coffee cup full. We all enjoyed our food and would return, when in the area.

Once again, amazed by my most recent experience. Staff as always is friendly and helpful. Arriving on Saturday around 12, most of the tables were available. We ordered family style again trying their onion rings which hit the spot I didn't even know I needed to itch. For subs we had their steak bomb and chicken kabob, both of which were delicious and fulfilling. I didn't try their western burger but it had those beautiful onion rings on it so must have been good. Wrapping up our meals we have the Belgian waffle with fruit, Nutella stuffed French toast, and the strawberry cheesecake pancakes because we just didn't get enough last time. Absolutely looking forward to my next visit!

This place is a must!! It's a cute little spot along the water and perfect for grabbing breakfast. I stopped here as I drove from Boston to Salem. It was convenient and on the way. They have many different specials that seem to very with the seasons. They had awesome looking pumpkin items for fall! We tried the stuffed French toast, an omelette and the eggs Benedict! The potatoes are the most delicious things ever!!!! You have to order the potatoes! French toast was just okay- I wouldn't order that again. The omelette was good and tasted great. The service was fantastic. My coffee cup was never empty. The cook was fast and she seemed to be working all alone but still got everything out very quickly! This is a must stop spot!

This place never disappoints, have been coming here as "our spot" more than 20 years. Today I had literally the freshest, moistest, biggest blueberry pancakes ever! Service was friendly and fast, always hot coffee filled to the brim. Loved that the chef even delivered my sisters French Toast to the table! A+

The s'mores pancakes were bigger that my sons head!

Food is very average, but great service makes up for it. Also nice to walk around town while waiting for a table.

Great place, good food, nice vibe. Small bar. Good eggs Benedict, they make me an avocado Benedict even though it's not on the menu.

One of my favorite touches is that you can always see the chef hustling in the kitchen--it gives the restaurant such a personal and authentic feel. The ambience is lovely, and the staff is consistently attentive and professional. The service has always been excellent. As someone with a background in restaurant management, I do sometimes feel that the restaurant may be slightly overstaffed and could possibly benefit from a little more operational strategy. That being said, it never negatively affects the guest experience--the service is always seamless. We love the variety of the food, the coziness of the space, and the overall experience. I would definitely recommend this restaurant, and we will absolutely keep coming back!

However, I must say, I was very pleasantly surprised with everything we had. The National Dish of Denmark (stegt flæsk) was incredible, the dumplings were jam packed with meat, and the Chinese Churros hit the spot. We came in about 50 minutes before closing and stayed long after, but the service was fantastic the whole time. We were thanked by the owner for coming in and were told that staying late was expected and well welcomed. The restaurant itself is gorgeous and the music was a lot of fun. The restaurant faces the shore, so expect lovely views, especially around the golden hour. Overall, this place is an absolute gem. It's worth the trip from Boston or anywhere within a 50 mile radius, honestly.

The cocktails did not disappoint. Service was equally strong. Our server was prompt, knowledgeable and attentive without hovering. He answered our questions clearly and offered recommendations that proved well worth taking. The owner also stopped by to ask about our experience, a thoughtful gesture that made the evening feel genuinely welcoming. Pomona Cafe is a terrific addition to Swampscott, and we'll gladly return. Disgusting. Apart from this.. if you can get over that, the food was really meh for the $, the chicken was dry and hard to chew and it just seemed like something I could cook on my own at home and I'm not even very good at cooking. Also got an espresso which was acidic and 1/2 cold. (This we've tried twice and both times just as bad)

Fans will know about my adventures and misadventures with spicy food. Can we just have nutrition labels list Scoville units in addition to the usual macros and micros? Not wanting to turn into a fire-breathing dragon or the big bad wolf, huffing and puffing through my meal, I went for a Nashville Hot chicken sandwich. While not the greatest fried chicken I'd had (that title stays with Dave's), I've no complaints about the chicken itself. It was cooked nicely, and appropriately crisp and tender. The chow-chow (pickled vegetable relish) was a unique touch, and the lettuce added some welcome freshness. The bayou sauce was pleasant, also. I found everything to be mostly well-balanced, though I personally would have loved a little more lettuce. There's just one 'little' detail: the heat. If there was any spiciness, it was fully imperceptible to my palate. So much so I confirmed with the kitchen it was, in fact, a Nashville hot. Not wanting to be "that guy" I didn't send it back - but 100% going for at least an "Angry Bird" next time. For some final notes: - Value was excellent at ~$12 for a rather large sandwich. - Fries were fine, no complaints and nothing to write home about. - Service was polite and reasonably quick. - Location was clean, and only the paint needed a little touch up. Thus: while not the GOAT in my opinion, a very solid and respectable chicken shop!
