    Baked Brie
    Justin M.

5 stars again. We come home bi-monthly and it never disappoints. The ambiance is great, and the food from start to finish is 5 stars. To start, we get the usual baked brie. This is the perfect way to start date night. A medley of fruit is baked with brie, topped with balsamic, and served with a lemon vinaigrette salad with walnuts + fresh baked bread. This time we also tried the watermelon and melon with burrata. Worth a shot, but was just OK. For our meals my fiancé got the salmon with couscous. She LOVED it. For my meal I always get the sun burger. The best burger in the metro Boston area!! Fresh smoked bacon and garlic aioli!! The service is always pretty solid. This time it was a touch slower and she input the allergy incorrectly, BUT, they have great management who came over prior to my food arriving and confirmed my allergy and assured me the kitchen would make my dish safe. The drink menu is expansive and I would recommend bourbon lovers to try the, "Bacon and legs!"

    Mussels

The Blue Ox is one of my favorite restaurants around. Their drinks are excellent, happy hour oysters are always good, and they have I think my all-time favorite mussels.

Service, quality and ambiance; this place is great! I also heard they do a special menu for Bent Water which I plan on trying VERY soon!

Filet medallions with thick grilled asparagus on a bed of mashed potatoes with a beef gravy.

I was in town and was taken to this place for dinner because it was highly recommended. After spending time going trough the menu and spying on all the food around me, I chose the filet medallions. I ordered them medium-rare, and it was cooked perfectly. The meat was so tender and juicy that I switched to my butter knife to cut it up. The asparagus was extra thick and grilled to be soft on the outside with a nice little bite on the inside. The mashed potatoes were creamy and flavorful too.The wine reduction gravy was the perfect addition to bring all the flavors together. It was rich and it had a deep complex flavor. It really made the steak and potatoes even more delicious. I finished the meal by sharing the sticky toffee pudding for dessert which was also amazing. It was the perfect way to end a delicious meal. The service was excellent too. Our waiter was attentive and knowledgeable, and he made sure that we had everything we needed. Overall, the food was delicious, the service was excellent, and the atmosphere was warm and inviting. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone with time in the area.

    Baked Stuffed Brie

My family came here to celebrate my nieces birthday. Compared to its reputation before, it has become more family friendly as there were lots of young kids around. Prices also match the casualness of it as well which we were surprised about. My sister and I shared their baked stuffed Brie as well as an order of mussels. Most people got their burgers and my sister got their half Chicken and Herb Roasted Boneless. The Brie was stuffed with figs, apricots, and cranberries. It was salty, sweet and delicious on the soft baguette slices drizzled with balsamic glaze. The mussels looked good but the flavorful was overpowering. Chicken was crispy and salty. French fries had too much salt and served as the truffle fries even though everyone wanted the plain ones instead. Dessert was their chocolate cake and the sticky toffee cake with cinnamon ice cream. Chocolate cake was too sweet in my opinion. The toffee wasn't sticky but it was warm and soft. I really enjoyed the ice cream and would like a pint to take home. Overall, we had a decent experience. Food was okay with fair prices. Staff were incredibly friendly and quick to check in on us. Would come again to try their burger next week with more Brie. It's a casual environment with tight parking in the eastern bank next door as it was already full by 5:50 pm. There is also the other lot across the street with plenty of spots.

Such a great spot. Food is always incredible and drinks are yummy. Thank you for another special occasion.

Great ambiance, would recommend! We came in for a quick bite and drink. Definitely stop by. Spacious dinner and attentive service

Meatloaf overs mashed potatoes, spinach and a demi-glace.

Was looking for a place to enjoy National Cheeseburger Day and I found this place on Yelp. Needless to say my plans were thrown off course when the bartender (Nate) convinced me to try the special, which was meatloaf. I can go back anytime for a burger, but the meatloaf was a limited time option. Glad he convinced me. Started out my meal with some fresh Great White oyesters - excellent brine and a nice finish. Could have easily eaten a dozen of these. Followed the oysters with the main course of the meatloaf. It was sitting on top of mashed potatoes, spinach and a nice demi-glace. And to add to the ambiance, Nate created the "bacon and legs" cocktail with a flamed orange. Loved the atmosphere and service in this place. Will absolutely return.

When you think waterfront you immediately think fresh & vibrant with menu items that deliver that wow factor! While the menu looks promising, the execution certainly needs work. Let's start off with the small plates, Mila's meatballs. Our meatballs came before our dinks! Wicked fast! Sadly they were lackluster. Dense , a bit cold & grey in the center & lacked that glorious soft texture to the point where I questioned if they were made fresh. I was told they were! A good meatball is a perfect balance of flavor, texture, and juiciness and theirs didn't! The whipped ricotta was quite nice as well as the marinade was seasoned well. Pulled pork Poutine Excited about it being presented in a cast iron skillet. But the pork was so incredibly salty and the tater tots were definitely store bought. Cheese was melted nicely and that added nutmeg gave it a nice kick. While the seasoning was good, the salt was so dominating you couldn't taste much of anything else. Giannone Chicken Chicken & potatoes with a mushroom sauce. That's it!! An overtly basic dish serving one breast & wing sitting on a huge bed of oven roasted potatoes. Lacking any profound seasoning with some of the potatoes being undercooked. For $27 I was expecting a whole lot more. Some acidity, some spice or maybe a vegetable of some sort Our cocktails while tasty were mostly ice and were also quite pricy. I understand given the location the prices are to scale but not to this extent where our drinks were only a few small sips. I had such high expectations of this new waterfront eatery. And I still do. Hoping they make the necessary changes and execute better in the future. I'm certainly rooting for them.

First off our server, I think Megan, or Monica - something with an M... she was kick ass! I love a good convo with a server where they dont just come off shytty - and she was great! Got a bunch of apps, and not sure if because of the night, because of the weather (it has snowed all week - we cant function here apparently when it snows, LOL) But most of the food wasnt as hot as I would have loved... Either they werent all ready together and they held off on bringing or they keep ready to go & warm as needed, I dont know - but it would have been nice if it was a little hotter... The soup was hot and OMG was it delish... Like good, good! The spinach was delish as well - we just ordered too many things (as usual) will def plan to go back with the hubby so we can try some of the entrees... Yard House bills itself as the "world's largest selection of draft beer" and although I cannot independently verify that, they did have a vast selection of beers and ciders on draft. I went with Woodchuck's pineapple cider (they were out of the Woodchuck blueberry cider) and it was great. For food, I ordered the kurobuta pork burger that features Snake River Farms Berkshire pork, spicy candied bacon, white American cheese, arugula, and house-made blueberry ketchup. For $2 extra I upgraded from the house fries to onion rings. The seeded roll for the burger was great and the pork was juicy and flavorful. The blueberry ketchup was such a good take on the classic condiment. The onion rings were a nice change from the traditional fries but overall were just average in taste. The server was friendly and attentive. Overall, I would definitely return to Yard House to try some of their wide selection of beers on tap and fun food items on the menu.

We started with the charred broccoli mac & cheese, which arrived piping hot and baked to perfection. Every bite was rich, creamy, and delicious. Honestly, it's up there with the best mac & cheeses I've ever had. For entrées, we shared the shepherds pie and the steak tips.
