No parking, no rest rooms, and nowhere to sit and eat, but I was impressed by the friendliness of the staff and the speed by which they made the sandwich. -- Italian Sandwich: A heavy beast of a sandwich with a lengthy ciabatta roll stuffed with sopressata, salami, capicola, hot capicola, mortadella with pistachios, asiago cheese, arugula, tomato, onion, seasoned oil, pickles, and hot peppers. --- All of the flavors came through and the meats seemed of very high-quality. The pickles were more noticeable than the hots, but easy to adjust next time. The cheese tasted better as it went along, probably getting closer to room temperature where it really shines. --- The flavors and textures were all impressive with the one exception of the ciabatta-- a little on the firm side, but that could be symptomatic of my late Sunday visit. I give them a pass for that and applaud this VERY good sandwich. --- Incredible value! This had to weigh at least 3 pounds and could easily have fed two people, and for only slightly more than a McDonald's "value" meal. Normally, I would wait and try it again before reviewing, but the city of Lynn isn't easy for me to get to, so now it is and it's an easy 4. Three hours after we purchased them both sandwiches were still crusty on the outside and soft on the inside. The meats in my sandwich were premium quality, piled high, and individually delicious. We only ate half the sandwiches that day and the other half the next day. This place has established a new benchmark for what a good sub should be for me. As far as the cost. They were expensive. Upon entry, I noticed the location was very well organized and clean. The wrap-around cases of meat, take and go, all kinds of grill items (chicken, steak, tips, burgers, sausage) and then the butcher, ready to cut whatever you need. Boars Head meats are available, which are my favorite. A wall of drinks from craft beer, soda and water to name just a few were cold and ready for purchase. Again, both sandwiches had Boars Head meat. The staff was ready to take orders. There was plenty of employees willing to help and answer any questions that we had. They are clearly trained to take your order, then your payment, then go off to a little niche far away and make the sub exactly as they want to. If you want extra mayo, or no pickles, or any other adjustment, you are stuck. But, this time, after my last experience, I leaned over the counter and tried to keep my eyes on him and, sure enough, I spotted him start to put pickles and other veggies on it without asking me anything. I called out to him and told him I how I wanted it made and he did so but it was a nuisance. The sub was good again but I don't recommend anyone buy one at this place unless you're happy with the shop deciding exactly how they make your sub. If you want a choice however, virtually every other sub shop in the region will ask you first and give you a chance to tell them how to finish the sub.
