Love this place! They always have what I'm looking for, and the people working here are really nice. Super easy to pop in and out.

I've been a consistent patron of this shop for years. I buy a lot of my meat here. I'm especially…read morepicky about chicken. The chicken is 3.99 a lb (or $4.49 lb for marinated varieties) and it's comparable to the quality of what I would buy at Whole Foods for double the cost. I also like their beef tenderloin -$18.99/lb. The store also offers a variety of take home dinners and sides, which is especially good if you are only cooking for 2, or live alone. I like the turkey dinner for $5.99. It comes with turkey, stuffing, gravy, and a little bit of whipped potatoes and butternut squash. Perfect for a winter Monday night after a long day of work. No cooking; just reheat. Other important details: plenty of parking and staff to assist you. The staff packages your purchases in nice sturdy bags that don't break and I'm never in the store for more than 10 minutes. In and out quick; works for me! I gave them 4 stars because the store is small and doesn't carry the variety of meats that the Danvers Butchery does. Yesterday there was a sign on the door that said FREE BEAN DIP! I hate bean dip, but the sign caught my eye. The sign said if you write a "positive review" on Yelp, they will give you a free bean dip. The sign said you have to print your review and bring it into the store and show them what you wrote. If they like it, they will give you the free product. Yelp specifically states that customers shouldn't be bribed with free goods or services and the reviews should be authentic. The Epicurean Shoppe is good - the store is always busy- and shouldn't have to stoop to those measures. I want to see them do well, but I was really turned off by the sign. Be aware that if you see an influx of super positive ads from February 2014 that the ads were generated by a bribe.

Very disappointed to find that this Epicurean Shoppe has changed some of their once delicious dips…read more The garlic herb, cottage cheese and bean dip don't taste like they did in past years. Wish they wouldn't fool with perfection. Unfortunately we may not be going back. sad.
