The place did not look palatable from the outside, but we struck out twice for restaurants already so we were going in regardless. Once inside you can tell this is a place for regulars. There were folks at the bar having conversations, watching sports and eating dinner. We really weren't sure what to think, but we sat down at a table and were delivered menus. We informed the bartender/server that we had never been in there before and she said "oh, you're gonna love the food!" to which we were like... ok! Perused the menu and decided on the onion rings, sweet sausage, half rack of ribs, and the steak tip sub. The onion rings are probably some of the best I've ever had. Were they from a freezer bag or freshly prepared? I have no idea, but they had the perfect crunch and the onion stayed in tact with each bite. The ranch served with them was also really good ranch! The ribs fell off the bone and the steak tips were tender and delicious. We were so pleasantly surprised about this place. Never judge a restaurant from its appearance. You never know what kind of gem lies beyond the doors.

My first BBQ at Bark in Plymouth and I can't wait to go back!…read more Celebrating my husband's birthday at a BBQ place was not my first choice, but he loves BBQ and I knew I had to find a restaurant to celebrate him. After mulitple searches and many recommendations we settled on Bark BBQ in Plymouth. I was in contact with one of the owners letting them know that we would be coming for my husbands birthday on a Wednesday and for lunch. I was hoping they would have candles which they did and the communication was very easy. Once we walked in (the restaurant is on Court St in Plymouth) but not near the center. It wasn't hard to find, but I was trying to make it a surprise so I put the closest place that I could find in Maps. I immediately knew the owner. I actually read all about his story from the beginning. I love it when I can support a husband and wife duo who own and operate a small but mighty restaurant together. I will try and not make this so long, but it is cute inside with tavern like table and chairs, a big selection to choose from, and really nice and passionate people. We shared the 3 meats and 3 sides. Now, I don't normally eat BBQ, but let me tell you we both devoured almost everything we ordered (hello leftovers). I personally loved the brisket and fall-off the bone ribs OMG. The cole slaw, potato salad, and baked beans were also delicious. We also washed everything down with one of their Kolsch beers from Mayflower brewery. And, for dessert we shared their banana pudding...probably the best I have ever had. If you are looking for a great BBQ place this IS WORTH THE DRIVE. From the scrumptous food to the nice staff and owners, we absolutely will be back. Only about 40 ish minutes from Quincy but even if you live a bit further, definitely make the trek to Bark BBQ because you won't be disapppointed. Cheers~

It's right off the main road in Plymouth and there's a lot of parking. Inside the place pretty spacious there's a lot on the menu that they offer but if I'm gonna go there, I need to try the ribs and mac & cheese I have to say it was pretty impressed. They have their own barbecue sauce with a few to pick from and the prices are really good if you're in the area you should definitely come out and try this place. It's worth the drive.

All you need to know about this place is that the food is FANTASTIC…read more I drive 45+ minutes and pass at least a dozen bbq places, like twice a month, for the past 11 years The prices are very competitive. The brisket is really good, great bark, nice smooth smoke flavor, no salty over powering taste. You cant beat the quality of this finished brisket. The ribs are just as good. The meats do not need sauce. The chicken, Turkey, sausage, pulled pork are all just as good. I've ordered all of them. The sides are top notch, with the sweet potato being my fav, can't beat cinnamon and butter on a sweet potato. I am a little disappointed that they don't carry Moxie anymore. Moxie and BBQ go together like milk and cookies. I think the service is just fine, the place is usually very busy and they work hard to keep the food coming hot and fast. I have never waited more than ten minutes for my order, maybe a little longer if the place is packed. And the place is packed for a reason. I like the ambiance, pretty simple, cool decorations and very clean. There is usually plenty of parking, more than enough. If you worry about pot holes in a dirt parking lot, maybe leave your tricycle at home. Two thumbs up, I would recommend.

It's still really good, but the portions have definitely gone down. Also, only 2 bbq sauce cups for take out orders is also a change. You used to ask for 1 or 2 extra at no cost. I understand why but if I ate there I could use as much as I want from the bottles on the counter. Doesn't seem consistent. I would be willing to pay a few dollars more for the old portions to account for rising costs than to pay the same and get less.

Finally I had my excuse to make the trip north to Woonsocket. I'm so glad I did. This place packs in so much stuff! A full grocery, plus deli counter and you can order a hot lunch. There's a cozy seating area with Polish clothing, books and art around to give it life. I walked around ten store for a bit, overwhelmed by all the delights on the shelves. I picked up a few items and went to the register. There, I also picked up my scoop. They serve homemade gelato and sorbet here, and I chose the amarena gelato (cherry). She served it up, added a cute little cookie and then I went outside to sit and eat. The texture of this wasn't quite gelato. But it wasn't quite sorbet, either. It was almost like a sherbert. It was smooth, fruity and a little creamy. The marinated cherry flavor really came through. If I could compare it to something family, it was like a grown up version of the old Flintstone Cherry sherbet Push-Up popsicle. I loved it. And I will get it again next time I come in. Krakow is such a special place, their Polish selection is awesome. It made me want to buy a Polish cookbook to learn how to use all the ingredients I saw! If you've ever had a pierogi, that's enough reason to stop in. Just make sure you get some gelato, too!

We made 20 pierogi to take home (with sautéed bacon and onion), but they fed us so much food: borscht, mushroom croquette, bigos (hunter's stew), kielbasas, potato salad, gołąbki, leniwe (lazy pierogi), and apple filled pierogi. We also got a 10% discount, so I naturally had to bring home a babka! They are such dynamic instructors and the shop is lovingly decorated in all sorts of Knick Knacks from Poland, including a fabulous wall covered in Polka album covers. Excellent experience all around.
