Another place that I was able to FINALLY visit. I have been wanting to try this location for a long time. It is on a great location at the corner of a busy street and intersection. I have driven thru N. Reading and past this location for many years. Saturday afternoon, I made my first pilgrimage to Ryer's! I ordered a grilled chicken with ketchup and chicken. I ordered at deli and paid at counter. I got a water and a bag of chips, too. I walked around the store a bit as my sandwich was being prepped. They have alot to offer, including wine/beer. I entered at a busy time. Alot of customers coming in after calling on the phone or ordering on-line. Much like D'Agostino's in Winchester....Business was good, which is always a good sign, as I waited for my food. My chicken sandwich was brought to my table and after my first bite, I was thrilled! The chicken was cooked well, just the right amount of ketchup and pickles! Delicious! I will definitely return. Way back when, I use to go to "Gloria's" in Winchester for an incredible grilled chicken sandwich. However, they have closed so may Ryer's is my new go to when I am looking for a chicken sandwich! Price: Fair ($15 for sandwich, drink and chips) Parking: Plenty of spots out front Vibe: Friendly and Easy-going help Pepsi/Coke: Both available Service: Reasonable....on time...not a long wait Will I come again? : For sure! 5-stars....I liked it! read more

This place has everything. From great breakfast sandwiches to great service. I go here almost every Friday to hang out with friends. And the vibe fits the name, "Ryer's Country Store." read more

Use to be the best deli around but what a downfall. Probably the worst sandwich I ever paid for, they have the bare minimum of chip and drinks seems like the are weeks away from closing. Very sad just no effort in the sandwich at all. Something as simple as a turkey and cheese was tasteless with moldy bread. Lost a loyal customer. read more

Went when at a soccer tournament across the street. It was super easy to order in advance online and it was ready between games. Chicken parm sub, chicken Caesar wrap and BLT were all great. read more

Picked up their #toogoodtogo surprise bag with four meatballs and some spicy honey bbq chicken! Heated up with microwave at home! Tastes really good! Friendly and welcoming store! read more

Picked up a "Too Good to Go" meal. It was macaroni with a couple of small pieces of sausage. Hardly any sauce or meat. Two donuts were included. Supposed to be $12 worth. Seems others had better experiences with meatballs and chicken from this establishment. read more

I absolutely LOVE this place. They have amazing food. The corned beef is incredible. They also have soups, salads, wine, and desserts you can grab on the go. The staff is so nice and welcoming. And the store is just so cute! There are the coolest old school decorations like vintage Coca Cola signs and random vintage desks, car parts, and whatever you can think of. You can eat or wait at an old desk, which is super cool. I love the yard sale vibe. It is an awesome place to hang out and grab food. I love this little shop so much! read more

One of my favorite places in town - has almost everything you need between the general store, lunch bar, and sandwich counter. Nice selection of homey meals to go, beer and wine, etc. Love the decor too! They don't make 'em like this anymore. read more

Great mom and pop place to find a little bit of everything. Service is great and treat you like your part of the family.

Walk - don't run, for one of their fresh and delicious breakfast sandwiches. They have earned our local business just for that reason alone. I have twin boys who are incredibly picky eaters, and even my sons enjoy a trip to Ryer's for breakfast. Enough said. read more

We Love Ryer's! We Love Ryer's! We Love Ryer's! Every bedroom community like North Reading needs a Ryer's or equivalent! Country store ambiance created after the 'old Ryer's' building was moved and preserved. Creaky uneven floorboards, fruit for a snack, ice cream (in season?) adult beverages at a slight premium and the all important last minute lottery tickets when the jackpot get high! read more

I love it here! I go here all the time whenever I walk by, great prices and quality of the products. The employees are all wonderful. I would recommend you spring by! read more

Many options for food, great lunch spot, friendly workers, kind local and open feel to it!

I found this place while visiting. Grand reviews led me there and my experience ran me away. Horrible service, unfriendly staff and an abundance of catering to the locals. Don't waste your time. read more

This is a really well-stocked gourmet mini-market. I almost always stop here on the way to relatives' homes, because I know I can find some really orginal and delicious treats to bring along. They also have standard groceries and even a fresh produce section. I've heard they have terrific ice cream. They have a "penny" candy section and I always fill up a couple of little bags for my nieces. I think they have a sandwich shop as well, because I have seen people eating at the picnic tables on the front porch. It is very quaint, but modern, well-appointed, and beautiful. read more

Amazing amazing Turkey club sandwich. Recommend getting it on wheat toast, it's just superb. Can't wait to try other things from the deli, they are very sweet here. read more

Glowing reviews for no reason. Cool little country store. Went in and asked for a breakfast sandwich at 12 and they gave me an attitude saying it's the lunch menu. That's is okay but lose the attitude first and you should put something up saying when breakfast ends. They made the sandwich for me which was nice but the amount of attitude just to put eggs on the grill is why they get this review. They say run don't walk but I'd walk or walk by it. read more

Arrived at 7:30am Sunday and asked for an egg sandwich . Was told it would be a half hour wait because grill not yet hot. I said no thanks and turned to go. Was told ok we can make it now. I asked if fresh coffee was ready and reply was "don't know that's not my department." So I left. read more

Super cute store! Was visiting from out of town and came here for some items. Great selection of wines, homemade snacks and more!

Very charming locale, with lots to offer modern customers with an old-time feel. Super cute. However, I have seen a lot of posts about the deli being subpar, and that was my unfortunate experience today. I gave a young deli worker my order, and then a gentleman behind me ordered. Five minutes later, his came out first, and then I watched another worker start to make mine wrap while the youngster started on a milkshake. He must have been a regular, so he gets the better and faster experience? A few minutes later, the sandwich still wasn't up, and I though it was a bit weird for it to take so long to make a chicken salad wrap with 3 ingredients! I heard a worker call out, "chicken salad with lettuce!"...I said, "mine had pickles and tomatoes, so I'm not sure if that's supposed to be mine"...one of the workers said, "No", grabbed my wrap and tossed it on the counter saying, "I didn't know where you were", though I was standing five feet away. Though the workers didn't know I was a first-timer, my personal belief is that in a customer-service based industry, employees should treat each customer as if she were their first. The opposite was true in my case today. Though I wasn't impressed with the cost of the $9.00 average wrap, the greater atrocity was the sad attempt at customer service. I don't think I'll be back anytime soon. :/ read more

Rarely do I give places 5 stars, but I really enjoyed this place. It's a country store yes, but its someplace I could totally see myself running too. They have lots of good prepared foods, a lot of good prepared frozen foods and desserts and a deli where they will make a sandwich to order. There's a small hot buffet and salad bar too, and tons of snacks of all kinds. The meatballs were very yummy too. This place would be perfect in a small country vacation area as they carry pretty much everything you could need in a small space. I love places like this! read more

I am so lucky to live in a town with this wonderful country store. The deli is great. I'd tell you my favorite sandwiches but it would be a long list. The employees are friendly and accommodating. It's great to be able to run in for that one ingredient you forgot to get at the grocery and their packaged meals are very good. The point system is very generous. I've gotten several containers of ice cream and I have enough points for a few more. Who doesn't like free Richardson's ice cream! read more

Love the old country store feel that Ryer's captured with memorabilia collected from all over North Reading. Old business signs I remember from growing up in town along with antique bicycles, old Coca Cola machine, antique tables and chairs to have breakfast or lunch, makes this a special must stop in to see. There's a wonderful deli with amazingly well stuffed sandwiches, salad bar with soups, wine, ice cream, greeting cards, diary, you name it they've got it! Ryer's Store is the centerpiece to North Reading. read more

Every time I come to visit my family, I stop by to get deli sandwiches and they never disappoint! The staff was friendly and helpful and my "call in" order was correct! The deli guy did a great job on the food. We had 3 different sandwiches; all were excellent quality and too big for me to finish. I've seen some negative reviews and want to say, that was definitely not my experience on any visit I've made ever. read more

Our first time visit. Stopped by for some deli sandwiches. Which were actually pretty good. However the guy behind the deli counter was ridiculously rude. Not being acknowledged is one thing. But he was obviously disturbed every time we asked him a question. Such as cheese or soup selections. Cashier was nice. But not looking forward to Mr. deli guy again. Maybe he was just having a bad day but probably won't visit again. read more

Great breakfast sandwiches, quality meats and cheeses. A real Gem in the middle of a classically New England town center.

Awesome place. Exactly like what I was looking for. Friendly staff. Awesome food. Happy to give them my business. Will be back if I am in the area again. read more

Great place for a quick bite to eat or if you forgot that item at the grocery store. They also have a bunch of unique food items and have Don's meats, which are always delicious! I grabbed a sandwich for lunch over the weekend and decided to just sit there and eat. The guys making the sandwiches were polite and helpful and really seemed to enjoy what they were doing. They were joking with each other and made the environment overall happy, while being respectful of the customers. The sandwich was great! read more

Unbelievable. By far the best steak bomb sub I've ever had. Quick service cheap prices. Plus you can do all your basic food shopping right in there. A true hidden goldmine read more

Ryer's is a gem in this town. So much more than what you can find in a convenience store, they have a great selection and fresh products from local vendors. The best part is the deli. Complete with grill and cafe tables, you can enjoy their specialized sandwiches. It's not super fancy fare, but it's fantastic if you want to grab some cafe style sandwiches and go down the street to the park. Located across the street from the High School, it is also a convenient, safe place for the youth of the town to visit after school lets out for a snack or sandwich. read more

Ryers Store has quickly become a great addition to our reliable food stops on long rides.
