We were in Fenway Park for a Phish show earlier in the month. We stayed outside the city where hotels are a bit cheaper. We looked up some breakfast and brunch places and found this one. Happy to have found a business that can deliver on a proper eggs benedict Hubby thought his omelette could have been tastier. As for me, the home fries were crispy but there seemed like an aftertaste. Service was wonderful. Prices are reasonable. Plenty of options for everyone. Noting that parking was limited but we parked across the street where there were other businesses. read more

Met up for Sunday breakfast and you should expect it to be busy. Happily, we only waited for a few minutes as we got lucky, the big rush came in right behind us. The cafe is cozy, semi-loud but not noisy, bustling on a weekend morning, and offers an extensive breakfast menu. Coffee is just okay, basically your standard 'diner' coffee, and comes mighty hot. I didn't try espresso drinks and wouldn't expect them to be great. Oatmeal was delicious and plentiful. Ask for the types of fruit, you might get something besides what is on the menu. My companions had eggs, bacon, toast, pancakes, all the standard stuff, and were happy. I tried a piece of bacon and it seemed rather bland...not a hearty Texas or Iowa bacon, more of a cheap oven-baked style. But overall the food was liked and eaten and the wait staff were friendly and efficient. read more

Let me start this by saying that Nan's is the best breakfast place North of Boston, hand's down. The food, the service, everything has been top notch the few times we've been. Aldo, the owner, still cooks in the back of the house and you can tell how much pride he puts into his food and what he's serving his guests. If you haven't stopped by Nan's, you're missing out! We had the western omelette, waffle with fruit, BLTEC and a grilled chocolate chip banana muffin. The grilled muffin was to die for. I could eat these for the rest of my life. The waffle was perfectly fluffy and fruit diced perfectly. My wife loved the western omelette because of how small everything was diced so you got a bit of everything in every bite and that it was seared on the flattop grill. I had the BLTEC on scali bread. We both had hashbrowns. Overall, they really know how to grill everything perfectly so it's cooked thoroughly and has the perfect crunchy sear. We'll definitely be back, many many times, in the future! read more

Service was excellent extremely prompt, super friendly, genuine, and attentive. Food was ridiculously good - got chicken wrap- perfectly marinated meat with delicious seasonings and balanced with dressing and veggies. Ordered home fries and waitress spontaneously "special sauce" on the size to have with home fries. Creamy and a little bit of heat. Made delicious home fries even better. Last but not least , got one of the most delicious grilled banana chocolate chip muffins I believe I've ever had. 20 out of 10. Will look forward to going back! read more

This is a great little breakfast place. Five of us took my Dad out for breakfast for his birthday. We decided to try Nan's. Upon entering, the staff was so friendly and brought us right to our table. I mentioned to our waitress that we were celebrating a birthday. Well she was amazing (ugh I forget her name!) throughout the meal. When we finished, she brought out a big muffin topped with whipped cream and a candle. She rounded up the staff and invited customers to sing along. My Dad was so happy!!! I have been coming to nans frequently for the longest time and I can't even begin to describe how outstanding it is. All the staff here couldn't be more friendly delivering the best service and hospitality. The food is just to die for, it is so delicious, and I recommend trying the Irish Benedict. My food is good every single time I come so that is not a problem. The problem was the server. She was very moody and being rude with her demands. She told my friend to get off his phone and was shoving our food in our faces to try to give it to us. She was upset because we couldn't venmo eachother as a big group. Server had pink hair. Nan's Cafe was a Yelp discovery we decided to try when taking *our* Nan for a spontaneous Sunday bite. We visited at lunchtime on Sunday, only to discover this is a breakfast-only joint on weekends. Given the terrific brekkie selections, we adjusted easily. Both the French Toast Sandwich and the Breakfast Panini featured egg, bacon and cheese, and were delicious. If the breakfast sammie choices were overwhelming, forget about the pancake types! The classic buttermilk and the Apple Pie pancakes were large, thick, perfectly golden-brown and simply delicious. Fantastic, friendly service in a clean and cozy atmosphere, and terrific food all around made Nan a fan of Nan's. We shall return. read more

Nan's is a homestyle breakfast dive with a lot of character and a welcoming staff. The menu is mostly standard but with a few unique items. The food was good, but not amazing, either. I took the tip of another Yelper and ordered a side of hollandaise to dip home fries in. Great suggestion - it was delicious. Another time where I feel like a three is too low for this establishment but a four is too high. I'd rate it 3 and a half. I'd go back, and I'm sure it'll be good, but I wouldn't go out of my way to eat here. read more

I used to love this place. Whenever my family would come visit from out of town, we would go this place for breakfast. The old owner (I believe) was always there and helping the staff and talking to customers. She was outstanding. Today, I just went back for the first time in awhile, and noticed the name on menu, as well ans rhe menu itself... Had changed. So apparently, aomwone bought out the place. Under the old owner, rhe food was outstanding, the aervice was prompt and kind, and the atmosphere was great. Being the first time I have been there under the new management... I was disappointed. First. The service and food were much slower. Secondly, the booth we were sat it was super uncomfortable. The table was too far from the booth seat and the cushions had no padding. Not sure if this booth was that way before, but it made the hour uncomfortable. Lastly, and most disappointing, was the food. I ordered a meat lovers omlette. As soon as I got it I noted the egg was really thin (more like a crepe than an omelet. Then I cut into it, and the ham, bacon, and sausage were really poorly cut up. There was a LOT of what looked like cheap ham, cut in cubes and filled the omelet... the sausage was sausage links that were cut into like 4 or 5 pieces and stuffed in there. And the bacon was poorly cut up as well. Overall, was a shame what happened to this place. It was really good. And in a short time, under new management, the service, food, and atmosphere has went downhill. read more

This restaurant does have really good food!!! I had the chicken salad, delicious. My son had eggs. There was a young gal who was showing us her doll- her parents own the restaurant. She stole the show! We enjoyed eating at this place but the service was super slow. I would give it 5 stars but it took us 45 minutes to get fed. It wasn't busy when we went. I will be back and hopefully I will be able to upgrade this rating to a 5 Star status. read more

I would not recommend!! The service here is horrible it took over an hour to get our food. I got Oreo pancakes they were big but very bland. The bacon is very salty and the eggs are soggy. The booths had crumbs all over. My waitress took our order then left and went to talk to other people. If I could rate this less I would. This place is great. They have a lot of different varieties of pancakes, and give you the option to just order one (if you just want to try one along with the rest of your meal like I did) I got the Cookie Dough pancake, two of my friends got the Lemon Blueberry Ricotta Pancake. One of my friends said that she loved the flavor combination, but the ricotta gave it a batter-y texture. (That means "tastes like batter" and not "made with batteries", as one of my other friend thought she meant) In addition to my pancake, I got the Florentine Benedict (eggs benedict with tomatoes and spinach instead of Canadian Bacon) It was delicious, and the hollandaise sauce tasted homemade! Another highlight was the homemade corned beef hash. (SO much better than the stuff that comes out of a can) Our waitress was so friendly, and helpfully accommodated all of our questions and requests. I'll be back for sure! read more
