    Korean bowl with shrimp
    Shel D.

Traveling a little more now and so we made a pit stop to eat and found this place. Kickin it off with the queer o meter.... 10! Nice! Nice atmosphere, with the horse ambiance and the fall settling in. The service folks were nice and accommodating. I got the Korean rice bowl and added shrimp. My wife got the chicken ceasar wrap. She didn't care for the wrap and said it was a little dry with no croutons to give it some crunch. So not overly impressed. But the fries were hot and crispy and deeeelish! And the corn bread with cinnamon butter spread was amazing. I could've eaten just that! Mine was nicely presented and the flavors were good. Overall the two dishes we got were a solid "fine", however I would caution anyone going to check the menu and pricing first. It comes with a hefty price tag. No drink or apps it came to $48 before tip. That's a lot for salad in a wrap and a rice bowl. Cheers!!

For drinks I ordered the lychee martini and chai-tini buzz. The lychee martini was a little too sweet and the chai martini was too milky for my liking. There are a lot of interesting cocktails on the menu so I'd like to try something different next time. For food I ordered the Samosa Bliss and the iron pan (kadhai) hit with paneer and a side of garlic naan. The samosas were delicious: crispy on the outside and well-seasoned on the inside with a tangy sauce. The paneer was excellent in terms of portion size and texture. I would have preferred basmati rice with the entree instead of the yellow rice and more garlic on the naan, but overall it was a satisfying meal. There isn't a dessert menu but they have a case with a variety of Indian sweets. Service was very attentive and felt like you were eating at a family's home. Lots of nearby street parking. As with many older New England buildings, the entrance is a little tight and has a few steps so it may be difficult for some people to enter. I look forward to visiting again!

And we interacted with neighboring tables on both sides to recommend (when asked) the oysters, and when one received a drink with a big smoke bubble that created a magical flow of smoke when it burst. French inspired drinks and food were fantastic and interesting. The French 75 menu was so interesting-- choose your flavor and your bubbles. I tried two, the classic with rosé was so pretty, and the honey lavender with base level champagne was delicious. The raw oysters were to die for! Perfect little pop of acidity with other flavors delicately added and perfectly balanced. The oysters Rockefeller were also perfectly delicious. The foie gras is not something I would normally eat, but my boyfriend loves that stuff so we went with it. I enjoyed it more than he did. It was not a classic foie gras, it was smoother with a creamier texture and more buttery flavor. Eating it with the fig jam and "light as clouds" toast made it absolutely delicious! I enjoyed every minute and mouthful--would definitely seek this place out again even though I live an hour away! We enjoyed ourselves too much to take pictures!

Everything we ordered was tasteful, no complaints. We ordered the long bone steak . Recommend. Going into this restaurant we figure it will be pricey, which is fine for quality and experience. Buffalo Wings: Good number of wings, I think 8 or 10, but all on the small side. Not really crisp, but mostly tender. Some were dry, some were juicy. Ordinary Buffalo sauce. A runner brought the wings and left. No blue cheese. I waited and waited to ask the server for some, but she was nowhere to be found. Had to ask a hostess for it - she said it doesn't come automatically, you have to ask. Sheesh. Tavern Burger: A grilled non-smashburger, with strong grilled flavor and nailed the medium rare. Good juiciness. Good condiments (LTO and creamy sauce) on brioche. Solid. Onion Rings: I opted for the $3 premium to swap out the fries and swap in onion rings with the burger. A mere handful, but THICK. If you'd like this style, you might like these. Seemed like a mass-produced product. Lots of seasoning visually on the outside, but still no flavor. Very bready between the onion and the outside crumbage. Not a fan, but your mileage may vary. Didn't see much of my server. Which is understandable if the place is packed, but at late afternoon, it wasn't. Everything took a little longer than it should. Would have ordered another beer if asked. Overall, not bad, just very ordinary. The parking, though it'll cost you a buck, is great. So there's that.
