We went to La Fina and had the opportunity to enjoy their Dine Out menu. The ambiance inside the restaurant was lovely with dim lights. Our waiter, Colin, was attentive and friendly. The 3-course meal was delicious. Our steaks were cooked to perfection and dessert was a sweet ending to our meal. I would definitely recommend making a reservation since it was quite busy on Saturday night. read more

A perfect early summer evening - we were seated inside but with the Nana doors open it felt like we were on the patio. Loved it. Great service and our food was excellent. Tuna poke was fresh and well prepared- delicious. We had the bone in filet and tuna steak. Both perfectly prepared. read more

Been there twice, once in La Fina and once in their special events dining room next door. Waited in the main La Fina at the full bar and the selection offered by the bar tender was awesome! The special event was prix fixe and I check regularly for more events there. Make sure you check out their Haute Dog: I had to ask my server what this great looking dinner plate was next to me, and it's their signature 'hot dog,' well deserving of the name, looking like a 2.5 lb hot dog in an over the top bun! read more

Excellent cuisine. Courteous staff. We had a large party so service wasn't as fast as I'd have liked but am giving ratings grace since we had 20 people at the table. We had a pre fixe menu. Private dining area was lovely. Salmon cooked to perfection. read more

Went here for a Girls Night Out Event they had where they were hosting a Fashion Show put together by a store called Chic which is right across the street from the restaurant. I had heard about the place but had never been so I took the opportunity when a friend suggested we go. I felt welcome the minute I walked in, the event was in a different area of the restaurant so I was escorted there. I met my friends where they were seated. As soon as I sat down, our waiter welcomes me, served me water and offered to check in my coat for me, I felt important haha! I ordered the Burger and fries from the special menu they had for the night. My burger was a little more chewey than I prefer it but it was still very good. The fries were perfect and were gone within minutes. I also proceeded to order the Lemon Parmesan fries as my friend got them, I tasted them and needed to have some of my own, yes, more fries. To drink, I had a Limoncello Margarita and which was surprisingly good. The Fashion Show was cute. There is plenty of parking in the surrounding areas. Paid and unpaid. read more

This restaurant decided to switch everyone's reservations over from OpenTable to Resy without informing anyone about this. I thought I accidentally made two reservations, so being the nice guy I am, I cancelled the Resy reservation as to not take up 2 tables so another nice couple could enjoy a Valentines Day dinner. We get to the restaurant and we are informed "they no longer accept OpenTable reservations as of a month ago" even though I booked the reservation through OpenTable over a month ago. What an absolute dumb thing to do a month before one of the busiest nights out. They didn't even honor our original reservations. Terrible experience. We spent our money elsewhere. read more

Absolutely love Andover. In particular Downtown Andover. Incredibly charming, quaint & full of character. La Fina is an amazing eatery right in the heart of Downtown Andover. Most certainly a local favorite with their boutique style ambience, sexy space & sophisticated decor. Their menu also delivers a variety of European influenced dishes. "Just contemporary fine dining with a distinct twist." Service was in fact impeccable and well rounded on all fronts. Sitting at La Fina with family, friends or loved ones, you're bound to have a wonderful time. La Fina Burger A delicious & perfectly cooked beef patty in between a sesame bun. Red onion jam, aged cheddar and an amazing truffle aioli served with incredible fries. Avocado Waffle The only reason for my 4 star rating. Having read the name, I was wowed and so naturally I expected the dish to have that wow factor as well. However it was a basic waffle, with two poached eggs on top (had a bit of raw egg), avocado slices, chorizo and a relatively bland salsa verde. It was also supposed to have scallion curls which were missing from the dish. Even with that, I am still looking forward for my return to La Fina... for a romantic dinner date this time. read more

Wow! I've been waiting to try La Fina & I am so glad we did. My husband and I had a FANTASTIC experience. From the second we walked in the ambiance was incredible, I felt like I was in Miami. We started with the Cobb salad & lobster bisque- both were incredible. Entrees were steak bavette & miso butter salmon. We were so so impressed & cannot wait to go back. read more

My family took me here for my birthday dinner celebration and it was pretty tasty!! We really enjoyed our meal and the ambiance. I will say the drinks were super tasty bit the menu was difficult to read because it was so dim at our table, I recommend that they have readers at the front desk for people (like my family members)! Overall, a tasty meal and a nice place for a celebration! read more

Good atmosphere, good food (more for meat lovers though). Surprisingly, they're Pasta was fabulous and filling, fries were excellent, mushrooms side was good too. The tuna tacos had too much mayonnaise and felt too fried, but were good. The salmon tartar felt just like a flavorless chopped raw fish that someone chewed before me (this one was returned). Service was a little too much - in the first 20 minutes, he came 20 times and interrupted our conversation, being extremely chatty. read more

Everything is always impeccable here. Food, drink, ambiance, and especially the service. Top notch!

Went there with friends. We had a reservation and were seated promptly. Our waiter came by and took our drink order swiftly as well. We had all looked at the menu ahead of time, and besides starters, knew what we were going to order. Started with Prok Belly & Tuna Tartar. We all ordered the Ribeye Delmonico. Mashed potatoes, mushrooms, and street corn for sides. There's an upcharge for butter or steak accoutrements/sauces, at $4-$6 each. I love butter broiled steak, and am a little disappointed there's an upcharge for butter (on a not inexpensive steak). The outside of the steak looked a bit charred/overcooked, but the inside of the steak was perfect. I'd say the pork belly was the highlight for me (which is saying something, cause $70 steak). Perhaps a bit harsh, the steak was good, just a bit dry. We skipped desert. The restaurant itself is very classy/modern, the clientele was a bit erratic (some people in shorts & t-shirts). I'm not big on dress codes, but feel like there's a minimum bar, and shorts/tees is a under what I am looking for at a nicer place. That's not the restaurants fault/responsibility necessarily, but I'm unlikely to choose this place for a nice steak because of it. Our waiter was friendly, a little quirky. He seemed to get rather busy toward the end of our meal, and was challenging to get ahold of. If I were to classify this, I'd recommend to a bachelor party that was looking for a nicer steakhouse that wasn't fancy (based on other clientele). read more

no more hotdogs and took a long time to get food. The bread was pretty good. Waiter was good and pasta was delicious.

I absolutely fell in love with this place and took a risk hosting my birthday dinner here without even having ever tried it! I'm so glad I did. My waiter, Anthony, way great, very attentive, and patient for a 'larger' party. Everyone enjoyed their entrees and cocktails, and all agreed to go back. I've driven by in the summer and know they have an outdoor 'patio'/eating in the summer and am looking forward to it and their delicious food. Highly recommend. read more

La Fina - Ribeye, creamed spinach, lobster mac and cheese - Seafood Near Me - Andover, Massachusetts

Meh. I went to La Fina last year and the fish was overcooked but the service was great and the restaurant was beautiful so I thought to give it another try. The hostess did not say hello but did seat me right away. My wait person was decent. I explained my last experience and he promised to ensure a great fish entree. I first ordered the wedge; a flavorless boring salad. There were supposed to be bacon lardons on a large piece of iceberg. There were four super tiny bits and they replaced the fresh red onion with withering stale damp onion rings that had no flavor. Basically the flavor profile was that of lettuce and blue cheese dressing. There is a reason a wedge has fresh red onions for their bright sweet acid. Onion rings are no substitute. Then there was the overcooked fish AGAIN. I remember a friend saying in the past, "never order fish in a steak place." This advice holds true. They cook the fish like steak: high heat for a short time. I did not send it back. I figured if the wait person explained it must be cooked correctly that they felt overcooked was correct and waiting for another poorly cooked entree was not worth it. I will say the very center was perfect but the edges completely dried out and most of the area toward the middle was dry. This halibut entree was also flavorless. The risotto was also not cooked properly and was more like mushy rice. Fortunately for me I had had a perfect risotto dish just two days prior so I still have that very fond memory..... After the dinner epic fail, I still dared a bit of dessert. How can gelato go wrong? So I decided on the salted caramel gelato and I am informed after ordering that they are out. Why not when the dessert menu is offered? Additionally, they had the window walls open with the AC blaring. I really detest businesses that feel they are above climate change. I love that the walls open but how about wait until the weather is actually temperate enough. And sadly as beautiful as the design for the restaurant is, the white chairs are looking dirty and dingy in the light of day. If one is going to decorate a high traffic restaurant in white one should be prepared to clean the chairs very regularly. Though I will give them one point for not buying new chairs frequently and sending the old to the landfill. But really? White? Overall this was a poor experience. read more

I'm a native Californian but was visiting my family on the East Coast for Thanksgiving weekend. I decided to have a sibling lunch with my brother and sister. Since he's a local, he took us to an amazing spot with great food. The ambiance was fantastic, and our waitress, Nelly, was a delight! I accidentally broke my water glass, but the staff was incredibly chill and didn't make me feel bad at all. I'm definitely going back on my next visit. Thanks for a wonderful experience! read more

La Fina - Cheeseburger and French fries - Seafood Near Me - Andover, Massachusetts

First thing first, as i came in to the restaurant there 2 things I noticed the most. Fish aroma, and beautiful restaurant. It filled with beautiful lightings, nice and fancy light on the table nice real tablecloth. It was just beautiful. We had lamb chop, Prime steak, and sword fish, wagyu beef tartar, crochett, and maitake mushroom which is super bitter to the taste because its over fried. Crockett was over fried too but the inside of it saved the burnt outside. I really enjoyed that. My husband loves the lamb, my friend's steak order comes abit underdone. She ordered medium it comes medium rare. I had swordfish and its fishy. I tried to finish it since its a very expensive foods but i couldnt. The manager and server are very good they took off the maitake off our bill. I really appreciate it. I asked them if they willing to come back. They all say big no. The price does not compare to the taste. If you like aged meat, you probably will enjoy it. If u likes truffles they have tons of options for it and if u want to eat 24karat gold leaf they also have it. Long story short, its underwhelming. Oh! Their gelato are delicious specially if u likes dark chocolate their dark chocolate gelato is really dark for sure. Our pear pie was good too read more

The food was good. The waiter was great. The issue was at the front. Had a 7:00 reservation, were there on the dot and were told it's be a couple of minutes. 15 minutes later we're still waiting just outside the door. We go back in, wait another 5 until a different host finally acknowledged and followed up to tell us we could head in. Really put a damper on the whole night. read more

Came here for the first time. I'm here on business and decided to try this place out. I really loved the oysters, the service, and the bread they start off with, probably the best bread I've ever had. But I came here for steak. I got a Delmonico and paid over $70 for it. It was not worth it. It didn't even come with any sides. It was a very lonely steak. It wasn't very tender and it would've been good with some kind of sauce or something but it would've cost like $10 extra. read more

Really solid restaurant with a romantic environment and good food. We sat outside and will sit more on the inside next time.

Stopped here on a whim when we were nearby. We didn't have reservations on a Saturday at 6PM, but they were still able to get us on a high-top in the bar area without any wait. The waiter had an encyclopedic knowledge of the menu, complete with ingredients and preparation methods, and our appetizers (wedge salad and tempura shrimp balls) came out lightning fast. Opted for an 8oz steak au poivre on the waiter's recommendation paired with a 2011 Rioja, and it did not disappoint. Both the sauce and peppercorn crust on the steak were really good. If I wanted to nitpick, the potatoes were good, but the flavors didn't pop like on the salad, shrimp and steak, but this isn't necessarily a bad thing. Honestly an awesome experience, will definitely return. read more

The atmosphere was gorgeous (especially dressed up for Christmas), the food was out of this world. A perfect date night!

We enjoyed a fantastic brunch here. We made reservations in advance, which was easily done online. When we arrived, we asked to be seated outside and luckily they had seating. They have a beautiful dining room as a well as a nice porch for outdoor seating. The brunch menu had a nice variety. Our server was friendly and helpful with our questions. We tried the mimosa and Bloody Mary, both were good. The food arrived pretty quickly, and oh my gosh the portion for the quiche is huge!!! The quiche was delicious and I enjoyed the crab and Holland side on top. They have an interesting dessert menu as well. Service and food was excellent. Our dinner did last about 2 hours, and we weren't upset as it was nice to get away and have a relaxing meal without kids. I guess there was a delay in the kitchen on our meal, but the apps and extra round of drinks helped where I barely noticed. The NY strip with a side of mushrooms and fries was something I'd come back for. My wife is vegetarian so there could be better options available for a future visit. That's what really has kept us from visiting in the past. The only other downside is that it can get quite loud so having a conversation can be challenging. read more

Seems to be everyone's go to for expensive dinner in Andover, but that's just it... it is Boston-city pricey without the Boston-city food quality, imho. Take it down a notch with the $70 and $80 meals, and maybe you're 5 star for the area? I am always left wondering what was "off "about a dish, or what could have been done better. Good, but not amazing. read more

So, I've been going to La Fina for a few years now and this place never ceases to amaze me. Simply put, food is of the highest quality and that not only means flavors in preparation, but it comes out the same way every time as well. So the consistency is fantastic. They are a place that does change their menu so it's never boring but not so often that you begin to miss out on dishes that were fantastic. The wait staff is well trained, and I would put them up against any Boston restaurant during any course of my dining career. The sommelier , Michael, has one of the deepest passions for wine in the northeast and, trust me I've been to a lot of places with a good wine list. He's always right on the mark and has no problem with low cost wines if that suits your taste. The chicken dish is to die for and I'm not even a chicken fanatic. Their steaks come perfectly cooked with the correct temperature nearly every time. The ambience is good and the noise is not too much. As one added benefit, there is an adjacent restaurant run by La Fina which is often less populated, but the same menu and a much more subdued atmosphere. I mention this because if you can't get in on a reservation, then you may try to grab a seat in their sister restaurant. It's just as good and sometimes my wife and I prefer this. La Fina is a 5 star restaurant, it's also one of the reasons why we do not go to Boston much anymore because The quality of La Fina exceeds most Boston restaurants at many levels. read more

This place is literally perfect. The atmosphere has an updated Miami steakhouse vibe, it's absolutely gorgeous inside and I like the music they play. The drinks are AMAZING, the bar tenders always make the perfect cocktail. I love that the cocktails change seasonally. The oysters are always perfect, as are the rest of the apps. Love the lamb. We've traveled the county and these are hands down the best steaks I've ever had. Always seared to perfection and perfectly cooked on the inside. The foie truffle on top is the most delicious accompaniment. The staff is always very friendly and accommodating. We go here at least once a week it's that good. read more
