I have always been a huge fan of Crack'd- I love their breakfast burritos and hash browns so very much. However, the team of people that work there are truly the most amazing people. When we were in the process of losing our soul mate of a dog to lung cancer they would go above and beyond for our random orders and would always try to bring a smile to our face when we would pick it up. She wouldn't eat so we would call & ask for plain unseasoned grilled chicken or just bacon or whatever it was they always helped us out. Her last meal was bacon on the beach (her favorite place). Ya know, I once navigated to this place on accident before? Yeah. Still not sure what my GPS was doing that day. Because I normally go to the one in Salem. But on this day, I thought to myself, "Self, I really hate making that busy-as-hell left turn on South Broadway in Salem. What if we took a journey to the Andover location instead?" And so it was. I enter this cozy little restaurant carefully tucked against a slightly submerged parking garage. Although, I probably shouldn't say "little" because the interior was noticeably larger than its Salem counterpart. It's also noisy AF in there when it gets busier than a New York subway. So naturally, I ordered my usual to-go (a Country Classic with an extra egg and hashbrowns for those who don't know). Only it wasn't *quite* ready on time. Which, to be fair, is kind of a minor point. Thing is, they have to shout your name whenever your order is finally ready. This in and of itself can prove to be quite the challenge when bellowing atop the already roaring crowd of customers impeding the otherwise accessible pickup shelves. I'll do my best to describe the interior since I wasn't really able to take pictures. But try to imagine an L-shaped dining area with the longest part hosting a row of countertop seats facing the windows. Beyond that sits a rather modest dining area with a few more tables. Next to that sits the gender neutral restrooms. It's strange and cramp, particularly when the place is packed tighter than a sardine can. Sufficed to say, I'm not much a fan of the interior design here. Being the partial recluse that I am, I offer the following best practice for a place so riotous: mobile order that shiz, cuh! Seriously. I had to put in my noise cancelling earbuds to appease my misophonia. The good news is....the food is still awesome. The eggs? Creamier than crème fraîche. Taters? Eh, I don't why...but these seemed way more seasoned the very first time I tried them. Fortunately, they actually pair rather well with their refined version of ketchup. The bacon? Well...let's just say I wish it were served well done. Not sure if I'm able to request that. But I'll scope out my options next time and get back to you all. That's it though. Nice place, WAY easier to get to than its Salem counterpart, but a bit too cramp and noisy for my taste which means....I'll likely ever dine in here. It's all good though, because I'm still giving Crack'd Kitchen & Coffee in Andover 4 Country Classics with all the fixins out of 5. read more

Went a few months back with my mom, and it was just what we were craving! Their menu has decently diverse selections, from Mac & cheese to egg sandwiches to acai bowls. I tried their s'mores iced coffee, which was perfectly sweet and decadent. Coming from someone who usually doesn't drink coffee, I'd definitely order that again! The chorizo my mom ordered was flavorful as well. A little pricey, but nothing too out of the ordinary for a coffee shop. Would definitely recommend if you have a few extra bucks to spend! read more

Grabbed takeout for breakfast. Vibe: Small lobby with pickup shelf, counter, and narrow passage to some seating behind the kitchen. It's an awkward space. Service: Fairly fast especially since they were very busy. Food: The Smokeshack breakfast sandwich was hefty and delicious. The bagel was soft and not the highest quality but the fillings were very good. The Mango Berry smoothie was rather sweet with very vibrant flavors, would recommend. Value: This was not a cheap breakfast with the sandwich for $11 and the smoothie for $9, that said the quality was good. Accessibility: There is a medium covered parking area right outside. Overall this was a delicious breakfast with great portions, not the most affordable for regular breakfast but worth a visit every once in a while. read more

The service at this place is really good. The coffee, however, is absolutely atrocious. We had a regular drip coffee and a nitro and neither of them could be consumed. They're just really bad. I made a 17-minute trip from my hotel to Crack'd Kitchen and Coffee, a place with glowing five-star reviews. Located in what felt like a hospital parking lot, the spot was crowded and clearly popular with locals. It's definitely geared more toward takeout--there isn't much seating, so it seems to cater primarily to professionals in the area looking for a quick grab-and-go option. I ordered the Basic Sandwich with added bacon, along with a small cereal coffee (think Cinnamon Toast Crunch milk with espresso). We also tried the açaí mixed berry bowl and a large iced coffee. The coffees were solid, but the sandwich? Honestly, it tasted like something I could've picked up at Dunkin'--for a lot less. We spent about $32 on a breakfast that felt pretty underwhelming overall. Service-wise, it was more of a self-serve experience. You order at the counter, grab your food, and find a seat--if you can. That said, the staff member who cleared the tables was kind and friendly. All in all, I was disappointed. This felt like another example of how Boston's five-star Yelp spots don't always deliver. Maybe the hidden gems are actually the three-star spots? Took the two young grands (9, 10) for lunch here today. Each had a breakfast sandwich (egg, cheese, bacon) and I ordered a Cali club (the addition of avocado always makes it Cali). Crack'd Andover was brightly lit and so packed that the girls opted for take-out and eating in the car. (In addition, there were at least a dozen associates working behind the counter.) First, you order at the counter and either do take-out or are assigned a table. They bring the food in paper, handled shopping bags. One grand thought it was the best breakfast sandwich ever; the other preferred mama's. My club was on the dry side--I took half home and added mayo. Food came to $34.08 (no tip) and no drinks. (I always keep cold drinks in the car, which usually saves a minimum of $10. This only works for casual restaurants.) We'll continue to seek out other breakfast spots. read more

3 of us, visiting in Andover but soon to head home, needed lunch for the road. Checked put Crack'd and glad we did! Bought 2 falafel wraps and a Cali Club wrap. Hubby and I were very pleased with our falafel wraps, and our companion was happy with his Cali Club. The wraps came with some interesting chips; I can't decide if they were made in-house or just really crispy kettle chips - definitely a cut above any commercial chips like Lay's or whatever you can get in a supermarket. They fed us well on the train. I'd go there again when I'm up there. Quick in and out, and regular customers apparently order on the app - employees were putting bags on shelves, and people were coming in to grab and go, presumably on the way to work. read more

Was looking for a good breakfast sandwich this morning and I settled on crack'd. First time here and I was impressed when I walked through the door. The place is so clean and the staff was so friendly. The menu is huge and has a ton of original items I wasn't expecting. There is something for everyone here. I are in for a breakfast sandwich and ended up ordering that and a few other things. I ordered the live free or die sandwich, has browns, a breakfast egg roll and an ice coffee. The place was really busy so I was expecting to wait but it was ready in under 10 minutes. The sandwich was delicious. Crispy bacon on a nice soft brioche roll with a perfectly runny egg. The sandwich was near perfect. The hash browns really surprised me. Crispy on the outside, soft on the inside and seasoned perfectly. They were so good. I could not not order a breakfast egg roll. Just having this on the menu makes me love this place. It was just ok. It needed more meat and more seasoning. It he coffee was good. This place has options for seating. You can sit inside or outside, on the patio or on the grass, at a table, a counter lawn chair or picnic table. We also had our must have and must repeat, Santa Fe Bowl with brisket!! The texture of the grains and vegetables blend well together with the right amount of zesty ranch drizzle and smoked chipotle vinaigrette!! Morning routine is a smoothie with Spinach, Banana, Almond Butter, Almond Milk, Vanilla Protein Powder. Definitely tasted healthy The CRACK'D CAFFINATION has Double Espresso, Nitro Iced Coffee, Oat Milk and ground up coffee grinds mixed into it. And the Pineberry Matcha has Iced Matcha, Coconut Milk, Pineberry, Pineapple but the matcha taste was overpowered by the fruit, not bad, but just not a very matcha-y drink I had the porker which has Cage-Free Egg, House-Made Sausage, Maple Mustard, Caramelized Onions, Brioche and it was absolutely delicious! I highly recommend this because it enhances the basic by adding more flavor. The onions were perfectly caramelized and the maple mustard gave it a sweet and salty taste. The buns for all the sandwiches are perfect! The hash browns are crispy and had great flavor. And the ketchup that came with was unique, and something they make in house. The menu looked great--and the egg and tater bowl sounded perfect! My decaf coffee was lukewarm. Okay, I could drink it quickly then. It didn't taste great, but I never expect decaf to taste good. So I tasted my boyfriend's regular coffee and that didn't taste good either. The egg and tater bowl was disappointing. Potatoes just didn't taste good. Any tater tot type thing you can buy frozen at the grocery store taste better. The egg bowl was generous, plenty of eggs, but not enough ham or caramelized onion or flavor! This particular location has wonderful modern decorated space with vast indoor and outdoor seating. The egg n tater is a mammoth of a platter. Eggs, ham, scallions, two hashbrowns....all smothered in crack'd ketchup. The dish itself is simple and normally wouldn't impress, but the ketchup makes all the difference. With that being said, the real story here is the sheer quantity of food. This is easily a half now, half later kind of meal. Crack'd = quality + quantity. That's an egg-cellent formula. went here for lunch with a bunch of friends. Being a large(ish) group with a few kids, ordering at the counter was great and fast. We sat out in the sun which was nice. I had the orange juice which was really good and also the Deano Melt which was pretty darn good. My friend thought she ordered a fruit bowl but they came out with a "Food bowl" - I cannot find anything with that name on the menu. We just kept that one for later. But she then did get the fruit bowl as a side and that was underwhelming at best - 1 strawberry and 5 blueberries in a tiny plastic container - that gave the entire table a laugh at least. I'm very glad I discovered this place through UberEats! The whole menu looks so good, I had trouble deciding. I chose the egg n tater bowl. It's delicious and surprisingly arrived to me still warm. It's loaded with flavor and the sauce drizzled on top is a nice addition. There is cheese inside, but it's not too much which is perfect. The best part are the crispy hashbrowns on top!! The sweet potato hash is really good as well; I didn't think I would like the feta with it but I loved it. The bacon was crispy and still warm when it arrived. The coffee is amazing.
