Food was gross ordered steak and cheese and a chicken cutlet with sauce extra cheese both subs had barley a slice of cheese and chicken was not cooked steak was gross I went in and told them he and the women had attitudes and wouldn't help of give money back he refused and said he would call police !! He ended up being angry and told me I was wrong even though I showed him subs !!!! Bottom line the reviews are wrong and this is definitely a stay away from dump !!!! A little gem, hidden away in Northern Mass. From the outside it looks like your average general store but inside is a great awesome sandwich spot. All of the Specialty Sandwiches look amazing but I got the "Nathan"- Rare roast beef topped with swiss cheese, red onion, tomato slices and horseradish sauce on a grilled onion roll. Amazing. I just had an awesome steak and cheese sub with peppers and onions from here. There was just the right amount of peppers and onions to not be overwhelming. I thought that it could have had another slice of cheese on it, though. Nevertheless, the bread was just awesome and the place is very close to work! Stopped in on a weekday afternoon around 1:30 p. Have lived in the area for almost 30 years (but on a different side of town) but have never stopped in. I had looked at the menu on line and decided on the Athenian wrap: Grilled chicken breast, feta cheese, lettuce, black olives, cucumbers, red onion slices and Greek dressing wrapped in a flour tortilla. A gentleman at the counter took my order and it appeared a woman behind the mound of merchandise was the prep/cook. It took about 10 minutes to prepare and I perused the store as I waited. There were several take out orders (called in advance) ahead of me indicated by bags with the handwritten item on the counter. Both the gentleman and lady were very friendly, order called to indicate it was ready so I paid t at the register ($7.76) and proceeded to the car. I planned to eat and drive so as I unwrapped the packaging, the wrap is nicely "wrapped" in foil so easy to hold. I decided to stay in the parking lot and consumed it there vs. driving because I forgot to request no black olives and there were many slices weaved in the greens. Chock full of feta, it took several bites before I reached the grilled chicken and when I did ... what a nice surprise. Very tender, marinated just right, not too salty and delicious. I live in town and went there based on a recommendation. I am always up for finding a great sub place. However, this is not the place! It was a Saturday but it was not that busy, only a few customers in the place. However, the gentleman ringing up his customers was multitasking on the phone jotting down the orders on bags or whatever piece of paper he could find around him. While shaking his head implying that the customer on the phone was saying something that was off base with their order. I approached the counter to take an order and dealt with a very unfriendly employee. She proceeded to make my sub but I noticed she had no gloves on her. I asked why no gloves and she smirkly replied, I wash my hands a lot. I was grossed out with that and should have walked out at that moment but my kids were hungry, waiting in the car and it was already past the lunch hour. So I continued..I asked her to dress the sandwich with oil and vinegar. I got another look. She pulled some bottle out of the below draw and put it on the sandwich. I said what was that. She said oil. I asked to see the bottle. It was some creamy thing...not transparent. I let that slide as well. At that point I waited for the subs, paid and got the heck out of there. So I called in an order today for two sandwiches today to pick up and bring back to work. I arrived a few minutes after calling, and did assume I'd still have to wait a little for my order. I got at the end of long line, paid for the sandwiches, and was told they'd call my name when it was ready. Fast forward 25 minutes, and I still didn't have my order. They're tossing out orders left and right and there are many people standing around. So I finally ask if they have my order. Guess what! Subs are really good. The lemon pepper chicken salad w/house dressing is REALLLLYYY good. I would give them 4 stars but their prices are a little high. Dont mind paying more but the subs are on the smaller side. But it is "Andover" and really the only good place on 133 other than fast food so I guess they can jack up the prices a bit. The subs are a little above average taste-wise, but I work up the street and have stopped going here all together. We were all regulars until one day two different coworkers had a hair in their subs. I never was quite happy with the sub portions from the beginning anyway - very pricey for what you got. But the people are nice there and the menu isn't bad either. read more

Living right down the street, I come here fairly often. A large order of fries has to be meant for two people. Something to note though... On Wednesdays they get fresh pastrami from a local butcher and so its the only day of the week they have it available. I leave just around the block from this store and used to send my kids (now grown ups) to get sandwiches and other misc items there all the time. I would love to support the local neighbour shop, specially when I thought I had a lengthy connection with it, but today I decided to never stop there again. Why? Simply said - customer service! I made myself a smoothie at home and dropped the straw on the way somewhere. The store is on my long way to work so I stopped there and I asked if I can grab a straw from them. I was greeted by "why, dunkin wouldn't give you one?" from one, and was told go ahead by another woman there. Passing the counter on my way out and thanking them, the first one gave me an evil eye with a questions "you are not buying anything?". I get it lady, straws cost you money. I would have happily paid you a quarter for it. You just lost a family who lives near you for over 30 years as a customer, and this makes me sad! read more

I went into the store today to buy beer I am 21 turning 22 in a month also I am Indian. I went into the store and they took both cards said the signatures didn't match called the police on me even though i asked to refund my money and I would go somewhere else and they refused. The police came gave me back my cards and got me a refund. I wouldn't recommend anyone going there ever. read more
