This has been our local go-to pizza place. I hate to give them anything but a stellar review but their pizza has been extremely greasy lately! We've had nothing but good luck for a year or two. Now about every other time the cheese pizza is so wet and greasy, it's nearly inedible. Wiping it with a paper towel doesn't help. We'd like to keep going here. We like the pizza but not when it comes out like this. The first time we thought it was a fluke but it has happened a few times now. Other items on the menu are fine, and the pizza used to be our favorite. I hope they can be more consistent in the future. read more

I have been here few times and gotten boneless wings many time and i love them. They are still good We got order of buffalo chkn pizza and some wings for sb game and have to pretty disappointed with the pizza a lot. We didnt get the pizza we wanted as they mentioned they were not making that pizza and few others on sb day so we decide on the buffalo chicken. I have disappointed. I had buffalo chk pizza where the sauce base is buffalo sauce (marinara in this case ), fried chicken bites (grilledbuffalo chkn in this case), cheese and ranch or blue cheese drizzle on top ( none on this case) so can say pretty dusappointed to get a buffalo grilled chicken pizza. Chipotle wings came as bbq wings dont remember their chipotle sauce being so sweet and bbq tasting before when i used to get it before Spicy chicken tenders were good no complains and buffalo tenders were good as usual as well. read more

This place recently changed hands in terms of ownership and management and I'm absolutely bummed out with the result. It was like overnight they chose to take the GREAT Buffalo sauce I loved this place for and keep it going albeit with worse portions, worse other ingredients, and worse bread. read more

Have heard good things about Mr. Takeout but the location is usually in the opposite direction (of town) in which I travel. Wanted a salad for lunch and also wanted to try a place I've never been before so I gave them a call from downtown. A very friendly gentleman answered and efficiently took my order, the Cobb Salad with balsamic vinaigrette . By the time I arrived (less than 10 minutes), the salad was just being packaged. When I walked in, there were about four gentlemen working and one immediately greeted me. I told him that I had ordered via phone and he quickly rang me up. Then another gentleman peeked around the corner with a big smile and a "hello". I took the salad home and it was excellent! Rows of shredded cheese, chopped tomatoes, chopped boiled egg, a strip of crispy bacon, and some hot marinated shredded chicken (wrapped in foil) over iceberg and a spring mix of lettuce. Pita bread on the side. The only negative was the balsamic wasn't homemade, Ken's but that was OK. Great value at $8.49! I'll be back to try some of the other offerings. Good pizza and really liked the wings. The wings were not overly spicy but had good heat. I liked that they were crispy and not soggy. The large order came with two small cups of blue cheese, the good thick kind. If you like a lot of blue cheese you may want to get extra but it was enough for us. The pizza was good, nice crust that wasn't too greasy. The pizza was a bit greasy but it was expected for a four cheese white pizza. Everyone was friendly and the place was clean and had plexiglass setup around the counters. There are a couple of spots in front or else you'll need to park across the street. This is a hidden gem in Andover. Their pizza is the best around. Their chicken barbs are excellent as well.

I'll let the other reviews address the food. My review addresses the ordering system. First, it's $30 minimum just to order. Second, there is a non-negotiable $1 tech fee added to each order (doesn't count towards your $30 of course). The third strike is that you need to download an app to status your order. Other takeout places don't hit you with more than one of these inconveniences. read more

I have always had them deliver to my job, but when I called to put in my order today, the girl on the phone told me "oh, well we don't go there." I told her this has never been an issue in the past. Rather than her putting me on hold to get further assistance or guidance from a member of management (or any co-worker that is better with customer service), she just told me "ok, well sorry that's how it is." Went to Mr Takeout as it was convenient, was able to walk over, so location is great. Service was good, staff very friendly and fast on the phone and in person, order was ready quickly. The food within the order unfortunately did not match up. The bun on my steak and cheese sub was soggy. I completed the "hat trick" at Mr. Takeout one weekend when snow took Andover by storm (yes, I ordered takeout 3 consecutive days in a row from one establishment... I'm a disgusting human being). With self-loathing out of the way, I'd have to say I really enjoyed the eats here. First, I had a turkey sub (choice of smoked turkey, as well) and it was exactly what I was looking for: tasty and a little bit better than it would've been if I made it. The next two nights, I went to the wings menu. First, their wings are cooked/baked perfectly. With just the right amount of crunch and a moist meat, these wings would be good enough to attack sans sauce. However, the sauces made them all the better. I had a very interesting but flavorful cumber-wasabi sauce and a sweet chili sauce that was literally finger-licking good. Based off the wings and cold cut sub I ordered, I was impressed with the fact that Mr. Takeout offered a lot more than your typical greasy pizza/sub joint (which I'd be content with most of the time). Service is super fast (I got takeout... ready in less than 20 mins every time). The guys there are good people. Spent some time shooting it with them and had a ball. I guess this review would be a lot more complete if I tried their pizza and app items, but to be honest, I'm sure they follow the trend of those wings. If you want a surefire delight, get weird with their wing menu... or get even weirder and try something else. Either way, try these guys out if you're looking for some comfort and quality fullness at a very decent price. read more

The staff is friendly and they have a nice outdoor seating area across the street with 3 picnic table, but maybe I ordered the wrong things. Greek Salad = Lettuce, tomatoes & black olives. The Garlic Herb Chicken Wings = Fried chicken wings with some horrible looking & tasting sauce/dressing (unsure) poured on top. Although mine wasn't that great, my husband said his Italian Sub was good. I read in a previous post that a lot of items are homemade, I was bummed to see that wasn't true. There was a freezer full of rolls & pizza dough. At least the rolls were from a local bakery in Haverhill and they were hand tossing the defrosted pizza dough! read more

The fact that they charge $2.00 for delivery and "do not" share that with delivery drivers is a shame and that's why they get a 3 stars. Mr. Takeout was my favorite place to stop in and grab lunch before I moved out of town. Not only is the food very reasonably priced but they also have by far the best wings and salads in town. Their bone in wings were always my favorite. I liked the inferno sauce but trust me, it lives up to its name so be careful. For lunches, their salads were really good. I pretty much always got the same thing, Cobb salad with light Italian dressing. It never let me down so I never really mixed it up.
