Waffle with fruit
Jaime B.

Let me start this by saying that Nan's is the best breakfast place North of Boston, hand's down. The food, the service, everything has been top notch the few times we've been. Aldo, the owner, still cooks in the back of the house and you can tell how much pride he puts into his food and what he's serving his guests. If you haven't stopped by Nan's, you're missing out! We had the western omelette, waffle with fruit, BLTEC and a grilled chocolate chip banana muffin. The grilled muffin was to die for. I could eat these for the rest of my life. The waffle was perfectly fluffy and fruit diced perfectly. My wife loved the western omelette because of how small everything was diced so you got a bit of everything in every bite and that it was seared on the flattop grill. I had the BLTEC on scali bread. We both had hashbrowns. Overall, they really know how to grill everything perfectly so it's cooked thoroughly and has the perfect crunchy sear. We'll definitely be back, many many times, in the future!

Chicken kabob wrap, home fries with special sauce, grilled banana chocolate chip muffin
Rebecca J.

Service was excellent extremely prompt, super friendly, genuine, and attentive. Food was ridiculously good - got chicken wrap- perfectly marinated meat with delicious seasonings and balanced with dressing and veggies. Ordered home fries and waitress spontaneously "special sauce" on the size to have with home fries. Creamy and a little bit of heat. Made delicious home fries even better. Last but not least , got one of the most delicious grilled banana chocolate chip muffins I believe I've ever had. 20 out of 10. Will look forward to going back!

The food is ok. The staff is very friendly and the prices are in the right range. Parking is not the best but they do have a small lot.

Very chill and welcoming environment…read more Excellent food and lots of gluten free options (even gluten free pancakes!) The eggs and omelet options with the gluten free English muffin are also delicious.

The corned beef is large chunks, not small diced pieces found in most commercial and canned hash. The potatoes, peppers, and onions gave a nice texture and flavor. I had it topped with two over medium eggs which were perfectly cooked. As I was eyeing the French toast, he gave me a single piece which included their fruit infused whipped cream and was really, really good! That might be my entree next time. My friend got the crepes and her face was doing happy expressions while she was eating. My new best friend Maria kept my coffee mug full-she visited the table frequently to make sure my mug never got low nor cold. She also took care to clean the table promptly as plates were finished. Now if my kids could learn that... oh wait, this is a diner review. The ambiance is cute and chic. There was easy access to accommodate wheel chairs and they have their menu clearly marked for gluten free available and vegan options (most of the menu). The menu is on the fancier side; they will prepare whatever someone wants (e.g. if someone just wants 2 eggs and bacon, they can easily do that). The location is on Main St. so parking is hit or miss. If you are nearby and want something good, this is a good option!

I have driven thru N. Reading and past this location for many years. Saturday afternoon, I made my first pilgrimage to Ryer's! I ordered a grilled chicken with ketchup and chicken. I ordered at deli and paid at counter. I got a water and a bag of chips, too. I walked around the store a bit as my sandwich was being prepped. They have alot to offer, including wine/beer. I entered at a busy time. Alot of customers coming in after calling on the phone or ordering on-line. Much like D'Agostino's in Winchester....Business was good, which is always a good sign, as I waited for my food. My chicken sandwich was brought to my table and after my first bite, I was thrilled! The chicken was cooked well, just the right amount of ketchup and pickles! Delicious! I will definitely return. Way back when, I use to go to "Gloria's" in Winchester for an incredible grilled chicken sandwich. However, they have closed so may Ryer's is my new go to when I am looking for a chicken sandwich! Price: Fair ($15 for sandwich, drink and chips) Parking: Plenty of spots out front Vibe: Friendly and Easy-going help Pepsi/Coke: Both available Service: Reasonable....on time...not a long wait Will I come again? : For sure! 5-stars....I liked it!

I will travel for the baked goods here. 6 hour flight in fact…read more I grew up in the area and now live on the west coast and come here every time I'm back visiting. These are some of the best muffins and snacks around. I always bring some home with me too and have had it shipped. This is a small shop, but the service is fast and friendly. My favorite is the gingerbread loaf, the lemon poppyseed muffin with lemon curd is delicious, carrot cake....its all good. Highly recommend!

I mention every visit that they should put a name tag in front of each muffin to speed up the ordering... I must waste my time and more importantly their time answering my inquires... what is that one , what is that muffin ? Does that have raisins on it ? Nuts? Dog shit in it? or whatever ? Wtf Or why are out of certain muffins ? Any In the back on racks? Put a sign up displaying a simple check mark of available muffins? One visit the nasty one at Winchester told me they were out yet I saw the muffin on a rack not yet ready to put out front? So this was my first visit to this Wakefield location ... same issues and staff nasty here too but a bit better as more mature employee? I ordered 6 muffins and wanted 2 in a separate box as a gift to someone and the other 4 in a different box...she puts the two in a bag... A bag ruins the gift look, damages frosting in muffins... they will not put any less than muffins in a box? I'll pay for the dam extra box? Or maybe a smart owner would have a small 2 muffin box? Asked for Boston cream ... out of them .. same as last visit to Winchester location where they were out of many options... Maybe if popular statistically ... then you bake more of them based on POS sales data ? Maybe seasonality affects the daily production forecasts? Maybe offer July 4th red white blue muffins, Halloween frosting, Thanksgiving? Christmas ? Then generate greater sales, The owner should hire a better manager of both locations and stick a dam name tag in display case for each muffin, train all employees in hospitality and importance to retain repeat customers? Owner probably now just mailing it in or letting the off spring to take or already took over ? Maybe sell just sell it off to a interested owner looking to expand, or Improve offerings , add high end croissants, pastries, quality cookies ... coffee and better options? Whatever... 4 years telling every visit to just put a f'n name tag in front of each muffin-so I don't need to ask.. especially for gluten free, nut free allergies conscience people... how about an ingredients sign for each muffin ? I give up
