a fork and a plate of food

Meh. Considering how many wonderful places there are around, I wont be back. I'm a breakfast foodie and am always looking for new places to try. I would not add this place to my list. Doughy pancakes, unseasoned eggs, un-browned sausage, okay bacon (but not great) and obviously an uncaring "cook". I asked for "well-done" home fries. They're barely cooked (they look way more done in the picture than in real life) and when I mentioned it to the waitress... "I don't know what to say, I put it on the slip". I asked her if they looked well done to her. That was her response. I know she didn't cook them, but she should care that I didn't get what I (or she) asked for. Underwhelming to say the least.

Chocolate Chip Pancakes

Decent portions and good service. If you order blueberry or chocolate chip pancakes make sure to be clear (one time there were no chocolate chips).

Omelette, Home fries and cinnamon raisin toast

Recently opened in January in the space formerly known as the Lantern Brunch in Old Andover Village, my friend and I frequently walk by and noticed they have been very busy each time we'e been by so we had to try it! Stopped in on an early Sunday afternoon about an hour before closing. The restaurant was about half full and we were greeted and directed to sit anywhere we would like. Our waitress, a very friendly and lovely young lady, came over immediately to offer coffee. The menus are on the table so as we perused the menu, we decided on: the sunrise special and an omelette. It took about 10-15 minutes for our breakfasts to arrive and in the meantime, we had an initial cup of coffee (pretty good) and when it was topped off, it wasn't very hot so the "2nd cup" was not as good. The sunrise special included 2 eggs (scrambled), 2 slices of bacon, home fries and toast (we chose cinnamon raisin). The omelette included home fries and toast. My friend commented on the small amount of home fries served on her plate ...as in most breakfast places, you are served a mound of home fries. Our waitress came over several times to check in on us and each time offered commentary on other menu items to try in the future. She topped our coffees for a 3rd time (which was a charm) because the coffee was freshly made and hot. Both breakfast selections were good, my friend would have preferred a fluffier omelette and said "you really can't mess up breakfast" ...to which I concur. The one thing that would have added an additional star to the rating would be the acknowledgement/welcome by the owners (who were both present) especially since they weren't incredibly busy. Total tab around $19 excluding tip. We look forward to returning to try some of their lunch offerings which are very reasonably priced.

WOW!!! This chicken is no joke - It's some of the best chicken I've ever had...and I've eaten in…read morethe South - where they know chicken. We ordered the chicken sandwich and split it. (but got the sauce and cole slaw on the side - which I would recommend personally). The slaw was not good imo. I don't know if this batch was off, but a good slaw should be vinegar based...little bit of a sweet flavor to it - this tasted off...but since it was on the side, I just tried a few bites and then tossed it. The sauce is good-I think that is Thousand Island/Russian dressing-based and I like it-but since I brought it home we just put mayo on it and that is amazing! I think I saw smoky mayo as an option and we hope to eat in restaurant sometime and I will try it then and update our review. We also got a large chicken finger and split that. Two of us didn't need to eat all the chicken since we split the sandwich and weren't starving...I thought they gave us a fair amount of chicken...hope they don't change that. I think right now they are at a fair price point-not cheap but in line with what you would expect given the cost of food these days. Anyway, the chicken fingers are amazing. The best way I could describe it is if KFC original chicken and a fancier fried chicken place had a baby...that is the taste-refined but not so refined that people who like fast food won't like it. It's so tender it must be brined for awhile. 5-stars. Can't wait to try it for dinner with mashed and a biscuit. TLDR - Excellent chicken. Good Nan sauce. Not sure why honey mustard not an option for sauces for fingers. Pass on the slaw.

Solid eatery with one of my favorite ever sandwiches. They have a great selection of unique and…read moretasty sandwiches and sides, but their pesto chicken sandwich with artichoke is out of this world delicious. Highly recommend Nan's kitchen.

When we were in the process of losing our soul mate of a dog to lung cancer they would go above and beyond for our random orders and would always try to bring a smile to our face when we would pick it up. She wouldn't eat so we would call & ask for plain unseasoned grilled chicken or just bacon or whatever it was they always helped us out. Her last meal was bacon on the beach (her favorite place). Thank you for the amazing service.

Ya know, I once navigated to this place on accident before? Yeah. Still not sure what my GPS was…read moredoing that day. Because I normally go to the one in Salem. But on this day, I thought to myself, "Self, I really hate making that busy-as-hell left turn on South Broadway in Salem. What if we took a journey to the Andover location instead?" And so it was. I enter this cozy little restaurant carefully tucked against a slightly submerged parking garage. Although, I probably shouldn't say "little" because the interior was noticeably larger than its Salem counterpart. It's also noisy AF in there when it gets busier than a New York subway. So naturally, I ordered my usual to-go (a Country Classic with an extra egg and hashbrowns for those who don't know). Only it wasn't *quite* ready on time. Which, to be fair, is kind of a minor point. Thing is, they have to shout your name whenever your order is finally ready. This in and of itself can prove to be quite the challenge when bellowing atop the already roaring crowd of customers impeding the otherwise accessible pickup shelves. I'll do my best to describe the interior since I wasn't really able to take pictures. But try to imagine an L-shaped dining area with the longest part hosting a row of countertop seats facing the windows. Beyond that sits a rather modest dining area with a few more tables. Next to that sits the gender neutral restrooms. It's strange and cramp, particularly when the place is packed tighter than a sardine can. Sufficed to say, I'm not much a fan of the interior design here. Being the partial recluse that I am, I offer the following best practice for a place so riotous: mobile order that shiz, cuh! Seriously. I had to put in my noise cancelling earbuds to appease my misophonia. The good news is....the food is still awesome. The eggs? Creamier than crème fraîche. Taters? Eh, I don't why...but these seemed way more seasoned the very first time I tried them. Fortunately, they actually pair rather well with their refined version of ketchup. The bacon? Well...let's just say I wish it were served well done. Not sure if I'm able to request that. But I'll scope out my options next time and get back to you all. That's it though. Nice place, WAY easier to get to than its Salem counterpart, but a bit too cramp and noisy for my taste which means....I'll likely ever dine in here. It's all good though, because I'm still giving Crack'd Kitchen & Coffee in Andover 4 Country Classics with all the fixins out of 5.

The Naanza is absolutely delicious, every flavor is bursting through and the textures are perfection, would highly recommend. The chopped kachumber salad was very fresh. The yogurt bombs were funky and a little spicy. Overall, really enjoyed eating food that's out of the ordinary and again, highly recommend the nannza!

The lychee martini was a little too sweet and the chai martini was too milky for my liking. There are a lot of interesting cocktails on the menu so I'd like to try something different next time. For food I ordered the Samosa Bliss and the iron pan (kadhai) hit with paneer and a side of garlic naan. The samosas were delicious: crispy on the outside and well-seasoned on the inside with a tangy sauce. The paneer was excellent in terms of portion size and texture. I would have preferred basmati rice with the entree instead of the yellow rice and more garlic on the naan, but overall it was a satisfying meal. There isn't a dessert menu but they have a case with a variety of Indian sweets. Service was very attentive and felt like you were eating at a family's home. Lots of nearby street parking. As with many older New England buildings, the entrance is a little tight and has a few steps so it may be difficult for some people to enter. I look forward to visiting again!
