    Pumpkin pancakes

Nice little diner! The restaurant is very quaint with plenty of seating for big and small groups. We were quickly seated at a nice big booth and were given big menus with all kinds of breakfast options. They also had daily specials on a separate menu. We were quickly served nice hot coffee both caffeinated and decaf. My parents both ordered their 2x2 breakfast combo which is two pancakes with two eggs and a side of either bacon or sausages. I went with their pumpkin pancakes daily special which came with eggs and ordered bacon on the side. My boyfriend got their eggs Benedict. The food came out nice and hot and the pancakes were very fluffy and yummy! My pumpkin pancakes were topped off with strawberries and condensed milk! Yum! They had the perfect amount of pumpkin flavor and we're nice and fluffy! Everything was cooked perfectly! The scrambled eggs were nice and flavorful and the bacon was very crispy. We got plenty of coffee refills and everyone finished all their food. The staff was very friendly and attentive and the service was great!

Waffle with blueberries, wheat toast, loaded omelet and home fries.

Hot, delicious food. Gave a complicated order due to the way I like my omelette and they followed it to a T. Served within a good time frame. Customer friendly. There was plenty of parking and a well maintained establishment.

They had an amazing special scramble. Generous portion. I had to order a side of homemade corned beef hash. Excellent.

The perfectly preserved railcar diner (even down to the original refrigerator and clock on the wall) is only one of a few dozen still operating as a diner out of the hundreds that built by the Worcester Lunch Car Co. in the 1940s and 1950s. Maria Kitidis Mackay and her father George bought the diner in January 2020 and one or both of them are usually working the griddle daily.. as they were when I recently visited. I recently stopped in for breakfast two days in a row while visiting friends in Concord and the food was excellent both times. On my first visit, I had the two-egg platter ($8) with a unique Greek loukaniko sausage (+$7). The next day, I had the same platter with traditional pork sausage links (+$3). Both platters came with home fries and toast, and everything was incredibly fresh, hot, and really tasty. My dining companion also thoroughly enjoyed her meals and the classic diner ambiance. She tried the Florentine benedict ($14), which came topped with perfectly sautéed spinach and tomato, and on the next visit went with the spinach and feta omelet ($13). Our servers stopped by a few times to ensure everything was good. The only minor disappointment we experienced was that our servers didn't offer to refill our coffee, but otherwise, it was a fantastic visit. Maybe I should have asked? It is a terrific experience all around. Highly recommend checking this place out if you want great food, unique history, and a classic diner atmosphere! Even taking away a 1/2 star for our coffee snafu, it's still a solid 4.5 stars for the overall experience -- rounded up to 5 stars. PRO TIP: Bring cash. Wilson's does not accept credit cards.

** Patty Melt review **…read more Roadside eatery in a tiny strip plaza. Outside, it looks nothing like the classic New England train car style or New Jersey stainless steel style diners, but inside are countertop with stools, booths around the outskirts, and the hustle and bustle giving it a strong diner vibe. Like my visits to many diners, I was here on my patty melt quest. -- Patty Melt: First, the composition is faithful to the prototype, with a quarter pound patty (no smashburger nonsense), rye bread (no sourdough decoy), buttered (not merely toasted), and with the classic Swiss cheese, sautéed onions and thousand Island dressing. No fusion, no reinvention, no omissions, no hipster jive. Good crispness and butteriness on the bread, great melt on the cheese, and noticeable softness to the onions. Most importantly, the beef could be ordered medium rare, and they executed. More softness, with gushing juices and a really pleasing bite. I suspect nothing special to start with, but they cooked it to near perfection. Only quibble would be not much crust to the patty, but not as critical on a patty melt. -- Fries: I could have had tots or a few other options, but fries were fine. Almost certainly frozen, but the skin-on variety and not the dreaded coated kind. Nothing special, but good enough. Service was adequate. It seemed like everyone was prepping to get everything gathered and cleaned for closing about 90 minutes earlier than necessary, but that didn't detract. If anything, it shows initiative and hustle. Not much data to go on, but an easy 4 for me.

I always get one lol Country Benedict- this is what I order every time I come here as my main dish. You get buttermilk biscuits instead of English muffins with sausage patties on top and the lovely gravy. The gravy is soo good. CHOCOLATECHIP pancakes- my daughter go to since she loves chocolate lol. Which 5 year old doesn't right? She always gets this and it's really good. So if you're in Hudson be sure to come here, you won't be disappointed.

The beautiful plastic serving baskets lent an aire of Summertime freshness; equally aesthetic were the matching red naga booth and barstool leathers; if the franchise is going for retro diner chic - totally nailed it (+1). *A note on the prices, which any Tom, Dick, or Harry can see are plainly served above their rank. $4.25 for the thinnest 'coffee' you've ever had, literally no taste and I am a great lover of coffees of all varieties.
