Grilled chicken omelet

Well, you couldn't find a nicer waitress. They make you feel right at home. Service is excellent. The only drawbacks were it was very cold in there and the food could have used more flavor.

Spinach and tomato eggs Benedict with hashbrowns

Found this place with the help of Yelp and couldn't believe all the amazing reviews. My husband and I got on the motorcycle and headed here for breakfast. When we arrived, I was surprised at how quiet it was. I was fully expecting a 20 minute wait for a table based on all the reviews. Apparently this was a fluke due to all of the graduations going on that day. We sat at the counter and was immediately greeted warmly by the owners daughter Ashley. There were some delicious looking specials on the board, but I decided to go with the tomato and spinach eggs Benedict with hash browns , and my husband got the homemade corned beef, hash, and egg Reuben sandwich with home fries. The hollandaise sauce was out of this world and his sandwich was phenomenal. I did prefer the home fries over the hashbrowns, because the home fries were crunchier but the hashbrowns had an amazing seasoning. If I got the hashbrowns again, I think I would just ask for them to be well done. A few regulars came in and the waitresses knew their names and what they typically ordered. I did not remember to get a muffin to go, but will definitely try next time based on all the reviews. We will definitely be back and I need to try the cinnamon bun French toast when we do.

This restaurant is a five star even before you order. Samantha our server was a sweetheart. The restaurant is more than 50 years old although the current owner owns it for the last 5 years. The place is called 4D plaza because it was founded by 4 guys named starting with D. They had the salon, restaurant and a common storage all together. The food was inexpensive, had large portions and were delicious. Their homemade muffins are too good. We packed some on our way home.

Three egg omelet and bacon.

First breakfast in a new home and everything was exactly what I expect from a local café. I had a cheddar avocado spinach omelet with bacon side. Cooked to perfection by Chris. Samantha is a homegrown gem, giving me recommendations on shopping and work possibilities. Will definitely return.

Polish scramble (a special) with home fries

Pictures don't even do the food justice. Best breakfast I've had in a while!!! And great service! 10/10

Second time we've been here. If you're looking for fancy or posh you're in the wrong place. But the coffee is hot, the sandwiches are delicious, the staff is friendly and helpful, and the food is made to order. It's our kids favorite stop before or after the beach. I'm sure we will be back!

Always a great breakfast and laidback, friendly folks serving it up. Bonus: you will not find a better muffin in a 15 mile radius!

Filled up on biscuits & gravy with 2 eggs. Recommend. Looking forward to trying something else or one of the donuts or muffins.

If you're not thick skinned I'd go elsewhere. The lady who took my takeout order seemed annoyed I was even there. Their menu is small and limited in choices. They only had corn and blueberry muffins and they were out of bagels except plain. One of the patrons leaving struck up a great conversation that saved me from the lady. The room was filled with lots of nice people and older folks, you just have to take the surliness of the staff with a smile. It seemed like most of the regulars in the room were able to joke with the staff. Loved the accents too. I just give it an OK because the bagels were skinny and Lenders like, a side of bacon was $5.00 for a few strips and the home fries were just OK. The corn muffin was pretty darn good though. I asked for a side of hot sauce and I had to hunt through some plastic shelving behind me for packets. It made me laugh, but I'm just setting the scene for you. For takeout go elsewhere, but the eat-in diners plates looked pretty good. Eating in may up this old joint to a fourth star. I wanted to return the next day, but found an alternative breakfast spot close by that had better food.

For dessert, my better half and I shared their bananas foster bread pudding, which was out of this world scrumptious. I wanted to lick the bowl! North of NOLA will be at this spot until Labor Day. The folks at Ginger and Clove now have a Cajun menu for Thursday through Sunday. Let me tell you it's the real stuff. For an appetizer I ordered a bowl of seafood gumbo. Great gumbo is about the roux. It has to be right so it's flavorful and adds thickness. These folks nailed it. I could tell once it was set on the table. This gumbo was full of seafood and the holy trinity and packed with flavor and heat. This bowl was as good as any I've had. My wife had the pasta zydeco and I the tchoupitoulis. Both dishes hit the mark. Wonderful blend of flavors. Servings are very big so bring your appetite. We finished the meal with beignets. Those things are addictive. What's better than fried dough with Carmel sauce. Service was right on. In fact the chef came out twice to see how we enjoyed our food. It's obvious they have pride in their food and take pleasure seeing how customers are enjoying their food.

My wife and I saw their current monthly flight offering and knew we needed to try the flavors. Was the perfect time of the year to visit this location. Not too cold but before the busy tourist beach season started. Just like their other location great vibes overall with friendly staff who greet you and wishing you a good day when leaving as well. Some great window seats or outdoor seating to do some people watching. Lots of flamingo decor and just an overall welcoming space. Also if you are a fan of flavored coffees they absolutely nail the flavors so well! Their current flight included Strawberry Cheesecake, Butterfly Chai (lavender & honey), key lime pie, and raspberry lemon tart! My wife loved their chai the most while I enjoyed the raspberry lemon tart most. After the flight my wife got a larger sized chai and I got a s'mores latte! The s'mores flavor was phenomenal, best s'mores flavored coffee I have ever had! No food this visit but they do have a good variety to pair with your drinks.
