First time at this gluten-free "hidden gem" in Seabrook. We live in the Hampton area and my wife is gluten-free. Having a place with dedicated GF fryers and a variety of options is amazing! The bartender/waitress (Erin) was excellent and she thought of everything. It's a traditional pub with sports memorabilia and TVs. Wouldn't expect a GF restaurant to feel like a sports bar, it's really the best of both worlds. We will definitely be back. read more

The atmosphere was really nice here, but we waited 45 minutes for our food. They said that there was only two people working. Totally get that, but when it came out the french fries were burned the chicken was overdone and the fish was undercooked. The food was also cold , our onion rings were ice cold and had very little flavor. We ended up just walking out and not eating, but they still charged us for everything. They didn't even bring out our entire order. They forgot our salads. The weird thing was the people that were regulars were getting their food even though they came in after us and we had to ask for our food after 45 minutes and it was suddenly ready as soon as we asked. read more

WOW. Found this place on a whim - we normally go to tuna striker pub when in the area but the wait was just too long for our toddler to last as it was the last weekend before they closed up for the season. Pulled up my yelp app and found Overboard. Pulling in we weren't really sure what to expect and I was a little nervous if they were kid friendly. The staff was so nice and accommodating to us right when we walked in! Great food, and a dive bar kind of feel. I do wish they had at least one lower table - they do have highchairs but not high enough for our son to eat at the high tables which made it kind of pointless. Luckily, we had our own booster seat in the car, but I was nervous the whole meal thinking that he could have fallen from the chair with his booster seat as the tables and chairs were all high tops. STRESS. We had that chair strapped in for dear life. The food was really good, and the staff was extremly warm and welcoming to us. Overall great vibes. BRAVO! Support local. read more

This place is great, we come here every time we're in the area. It's robustly gluten free and still a favorite of everyone regardless of celiac status. They have dedicated gluten free fryers yet you'd never know it, the fried pickles are the best we've ever had. First visit to Overboard for the "Trivia." A group of us went and I had no clue what to expect, Logan, our stunning waitress (with great taste in purses), introduced herself with such confidence and poise you would never know she was only 20. No surprise her Dad owned the place and she kept him in line the whole night :) ... Logan was so incredibly thorough in explaining how the restaurant was basically gluten free, how and why. It was impressive. We had a blast, enjoyed every bite of our meals. To say the staff (and Jim, the owner) were incredibly attentive would be an understatement. I would've never known this place without being introduced and am so impressed with everything.... food, service, entertainment. Go visit this place... you will have fun. read more

Wow what an incredible find! We were cruising along the coast on a Sunday heading to Gloucester. My son spotted this on Yelp and we thought we'd stop in for a bite and a beer. The owner Jim and his staff were all so warm and welcoming. He had just purchased it a few months ago. There were great bar and food specials all day long. I even had a lobster roll for $9.99! It was delicious! The barbecue wings were a dollar each and they were delicious according to my husband. We are going to bookmark this and make it a plan to stop every time we're in the area. Wishing the owner great success in this new venture because he's certainly starting off on the right foot. The place was filled with locals and a few of us tourists. A very pleasant surprise. Waiting out a two hour wait for Tuna Striker decided to give this pub a try. Bartender was very friendly. New menu looks great. We ended up eating here. Had their sushi, tuna wontons and a very good Haddock. Give it a try. read more

Nice place and nicely decorated but small. The price for a beer is average but drinks are on the higher side. The owner is nice, accommodating and attentive. The service is also good. At least when I was there. The live music on Friday night was a plus also. My one and only complaint is regarding my meal. It was the oyster po-boy and the the oysters were cooked to death. They only need a minute or two. Other than I'm looking forward to trying the rest of the menu. read more

We were staying in Hampton and read about this restaurant in the June issue of NH Magazine. We were impressed with the fact that the menu is 70 percent gluten free because the owner's daughter has celiac disease and that they have live music at times. It did not disappoint! To be honest, not a lot of good food along the boardwalk. The young woman who was our server was delightful! My partner had oysters while I had the seafood chowder. He said oysters were so fresh. We split an order of the 2 crab cakes served on a bed of coleslaw- so good! Sports TVs& memorabilia decorating the walls. Highly recommend this restaurant & will definitely return! read more

After an all day fishing trip on Yellowbird fishing charters we decided to grab a bite To eat as usual on a Friday night at the beach most places will have a hour wait at least,so we stopped at overboard pub and Grill the bar was half full ,a couple tables had people at them. It seems like the owner would walk around greet people as they arrived at there table. Our table of four ordered two lobster rolls one cheesesteak and a fish and chips order the lobster rolls were a hit at $9.99 ,The cheesesteak was on a fresh roll with vegetables and scored seven out of 10, the fish and chips was fresh and crunchy. The only thing I could say is they need more waitresses for all the tables there was one person for 12 tables taking orders it was hard to get a drink and if we asked to place our order she said she would be back, 20 minutes later she arrived I felt kind of bad for her running in 10 different directions I don't know how big the kitchen is but it did seem people were waiting for food to be delivered but overall the place was clean the food was good I would probably go back again I wish I took pictures but we were out with friends read more

Cute hole in the wall place, but I do NOT recommend the food. I ordered the grilled haddock tacos with coleslaw. They were served in the standard metal holder meant for three tacos. What I got were two tacos containing 99% runny coleslaw and 1% haddock. It also came with a long flaccid strip of "grilled" pineapple where a third taco should have been placed. I'll start with the good news. My husband ordered a pulled pork sandwich. It came with tons of French fries. I ordered the fish tacos and opted for the mango slaw. Mine came with fries as well. I got a cup of tea too. My husband loved his sandwich and even took home the rest of the fries. Here's where it went south. The taco was almost inedible. The fish inside was a bit skimpy but good. They were served with a tartar sauce and a wedge of lime and lemon. I probably should have said something but there was only one waitress working the room and the bar. Not her fault obviously. At least it wasn't very busy. We might go again and I'll try another fish dish. read more

Excellent menu to chose from. I had bang nag shrimp...delicious and NOT OVER COOKED. Seafood chowder to die for and pulled pork sandwich on Brioche so good. French fries and onion rings tender hot and crisp. Logan was so attentive and had great suggestions. Also I reccomend a skinny spicy margarita if your in the mood...so delicious. So sad that this place is going downhill so fast. We are locals and thought we found a good alternative to the Hampton Beach Bars, so we started to frequenting this establishment. They have music most nights which is always entertaining. However, the last time we were there we decided to to sit at the bar since it was not busy. We wanted to have chicken wings as their Facebook page states that they have 50 cent wings on Wednesday. We have been here before for the 50 cent wings - we asked the bartender if they still having the special and she had no idea what we were even talking about!!! So we passed on wing as they are very expensive here (6 wings for $10.00) We then asked her about the nachos - menus shows price as $10 then if you want to add meat it has a price of $15. I asked her if that was in addition to or just $15. She told us it was in addition to so we said we were going to pass. I am not paying $25 for a plate of nachos. After servicing us our drinks (a hard seltzer and a draft) she told us that the nachos with beef were only $15 not $25 as she originally told us. So we put in an order. We waited a very long time for our food so we had another round of drinks. Keep in mind there was almost no one in the place. No way the kitchen was back up. This time my husband got a bottle of beer because he said the draft tasted flat and skunky. Got our food basically just thrown at us - no utensils or side dishes. Finally got the bartenders attention and asked for these. Again, keep in mind there were only about 10 customers in the whole place. I served my husband first then took some nachos for myself. In my first bite I bite down on something very hard - I thought my crown had come off my tooth. So I spit the food out of my mouth only to find a huge plastic top from an aerosol can in my food. I showed it to the bartender, and she said what's that, and she took it back to the kitchen. She finally came back after about 10 minutes and asked us if we were going to eat the nachos - which we both said no way. She asked us if we wanted to order some other food and we both said no. We pushed the plate of nachos aside as well as our side plates. She finally got the hint and took the nachos away, but not our side plates. We again pushed the plates over further and she took them away. Sort of mumbling sorry. At this point i just wanted out of the place. We figured that we were all set, but no she brought us a bill for our drinks. I would have thought they would have been comped due to the foreign object in our food. I am still steaming that I had to pay anything. I contacted the owner and thought he would have at least offered to make it up to us, but NO. It appears that the owner and bartender have never heard the concept of GOOD WILL. I worked in restaurants and bars for years when I was younger and would never have treated a customer this way. SO SO SAD. read more
