We were in town for a concert so we stopped by smutty. The ambiance was nice I liked the outdoor seating and the indoor area was inviting as well. Great beers and the woman behind the bar was very helpful and nice. I really enjoyed the island district canned cocktails. The guava one was my favorite

Recently Steven and I had three different beers from Smuttynose Brewing and we were so very impressed by both that the overall score just has to be five stars. The first beer we had was the Old Brown Dog Ale. This was a splendid ale which we both really liked a lot! The sweetness and maltiness is just so wonderful and these two combined traits in the flavor play off each other so very well. Smooth and light this is a beer to just kick back and relax with an ABV that isn't so bad with a 6.5. The other beer we enjoyed so very much was a peanut butter and chocolate stout called Smuttlabs: Snaccident Peanut Butter and Chocolate Stout. Quite a mouthful in the beer title and plenty going on with flavor with the nuttiness, chocolate and sweetness. But again, perfectly balanced in flavor and you can taste al the flavor features that need to be there. The third beer was the Woodchop. Another chocolate stout this beer had chocolate, maltiness and toasty flavor features which was another hit as far as we were concerned. Great brewery experience and whenever I'm nearby or even if it's just a bit of a drive I wouldn't mind having more Smuttynose beer again!

This place is perfect for families! We had dinner at the restaurant next door connected to the brewery and then went over here next. The barn with the green/turquoise doors makes for such a picturesque background to spend an afternoon drinking and hanging out! They have bags game, bows games, a giant jenga and giant connect four game. The weather today has been absolutely perfect. They happened to be having a very small music festival with local talent here with food trucks. I didn't get any beer but my husband had the match play IPA and finestkind IPA. He got some to go he liked them so much! We then checked out the gear and it could really use a refresh and cooler logos I think, so we didn't get any at this time.

I've been called Sluttynose many times, don't ask why. Legendary Brewery that almost everybody wants to give 5 stars to, and they do make pretty damn good products, but I have to say - and I'm sorry to say this - but the breweries in Europe, specifically the better and more famous ones, for me are just so much better than this one that I find it hard to give them the five stars which people want me to. Like Stella Artois Heineken Amstel and so on, I can't put this on a five star rating when those are.

Visiting the Smuttynose Brewery meant the absolute world to me. My nickname has always been Smutty (it's just because of my last name, swear!) and I'm a big time fan of their beer. Because of that, it was a no brainer to stop here on my way home from Maine. The brewery is clean and modern. There is a large gift shop, a tasting room and an optional tour. I'm not really big on brewery tours (they are all the same) and instead spent most of my time sipping on beer and spending way too much money on things that said 'Smutty'. For 4 bucks you get to sample 4 beers. There are obviously plenty of exotic Smuttynose brews to choose from, and if you've heard of something that isn't on the list then you can still ask for it. They even had some flavors from their Smuttlabs collection. The merch here is awesome and I ended up walking away with a tee shirt, hoodie, snapback hat, key chain, sticker and a glass. Oh yeah, and I grabbed some beer to go as well. Whoooopsies. If you are hungry after a tasting you can also hit up Hayseed which is the brewery restaurant right next door. Review on that to follow, but I'll just say to eat here if you can. Everyone that works here is super friendly. I probably went up to every employee and told them that my name was Smutty, and they all had a good laugh about it. Even if you don't rock a Smutty nickname, I highly suggest visiting. As far as breweries go, this is one of the nicer spots that I've been to. The beer is pretty damn tasty, the staff is knowledgable and friendly and the vibes are great.

Last visit to Smuttynose was back in the summer of 2016 and I don't know why I haven't written a review yet. They used to be in Portsmouth, NH but moved to Hampton, NH a couple of years back. There's Hayseed Restaurant next door if you feel like grabbing a bite to eat before or afterwards. We did the tour and bought back some souvenirs afterwards, which was excellent. They have a taproom with some good beers on tap too, regardless if you're on the Brewery tour or not. It's awesome that this Brewery is nestled in the middle of the woods in Hampton.

Really cool place and great beer! Stopped by on our way back to MA from Portsmouth and was definitely worth it! Only $5 to get 4 samples and a free tour.

Avoid. What's worse than overpriced food? Rude service. And what's worse than rude service? Food poisoning! Never again.

Man, do I feel like a friggin' dingus! Driving up to the location of this lovely establishment…read moreproved to be nothing shy of slightly misguided. I blame Google Maps for this (not the restaurant) because it had me turn directly into the EXIT lane! Yeah. By the time I realized my mistake, it was too late. Couldn't do a three point turn. Couldn't just reverse out of there and try again. So, I sheepishly drove my car at a snail's pace up the wrong way whilst veering as far to the right side as I could. Passed like 3 cars. Yep. I'll likely beat myself up over that one for years to come. Anyways, welcome to my Prime at Sky Meadow review! :D So, wifey and I share the same birth month. Every year, we choose a bougie restaurant to have what we call a combined birthday dinner together. Tired of always going to Ruth's Chris every other year, we decided to see what the locale had to offer. One thing led to another and...we ended up booking a res at Prime. Walking in, we're immediately greeted with an aura of elegance. The entrance consists of a grand standing lobby featuring a self playing piano, adding to the opulent atmosphere. We were able to get a table within mere seconds after they verified our reservation. The dining room LOOKS nice and has a great view, from what I understand (it was dark that evening, so we couldn't enjoy the view). Too bad I can't say the same for the acoustics. Out of the many fine dining restaurants I've visited in my life, Prime may possibly be one of the noisiest. I think it's because the tables are too close together. Which means you can almost hear entire conversations at the table next to yours. It's why I never travel in public without at least one pair of earbuds. Misophoniacs UNITE!! XD Now, I'd like to give a shout out to the waitress who took care of us that evening (I really wish I didn't suck with names so much). Service was stellar, overall. After receiving our drinks, we ordered the following.. Appetizers: Got the crab cake and clam chowder. Now, I just need to mention...our waitress had us at, "it's pure crab, no breadcrumbs". Both our eyes lit up as I said, "Yup. We'll take it!". Guys. I gotta tell ya....not a lot of restaurants can make a crab cake properly. Yet, Prime nails it! This thing was f#*!ing delicious! I dare say it may possibly be the greatest crab cake one can buy anywhere in the state of NH. And I will stand by that claim until or unless I discover better elsewhere. The clam chowder is in a league of its own. I often say how the very best chowders are the ones you don't have to add any additional seasoning to. This one totally slaps! Creamy, savory, made with REAL fresh clams. The cheesy bread they give on the side pairs brilliantly with the chowder as well. Solid 10 out of 10 for both apps! Mains: Wifey and I stuck with our favorites, getting a filet and ribeye, respectively. Describing the taste of these should be brief, since they seem to season all their steaks the same way. While the temperatures were absolutely spot-on, they could have used a bit more seasoning for our preference. However, we didn't see the need to send them back and just sprinkled some salt over the steak instead. Ch'yeah! Forgot to mention...this is one of the few fine dining restaurants that actually leaves the salt and pepper shakers on the table. Inconceivable! :o Got the lobster mac & cheese as the sharable side. And, uh....I think we were totally spoiled by RC's version of this. Because what Prime does here is....unique. The cheese (which I STILL cannot identify yet) was so mild, I truly believe the chefs were going for a subtle flavor. If done properly, it can actually give a delectable impression to the palate. Few extra dashes of salt, the whole thing was quite tasty! My one complaint here though: lobster meat was lacking. Normally, the ratio should be something like 70/30, macaroni's favor. This version was more like...85/15. Side's an 8 out of 10; steaks would both be a 9 out of 10. Dessert: Last, we have the peanut butter pie. I decided to take this one home, since I already felt like a pregnant whale by this point. Simply put, this pie was nothing short of sublime. Rock hard chocolate frosting aside, this was a 9 out of 10 for me. It's worth noting an 18% service fee is automatically charged to your total bill. So, take that into account when tipping. I'm not totally sure why they do this regardless of party size. Nevertheless, we made sure to close the gap, so to speak, on the gratuity by adding in an additional 7%. Service was just that good! Whilst I'd love to be able to give this place a perfect score, I honestly can't when considering the noisy ambiance of the dining area and lack of lobster portioning in their mac & cheese. That's not to say, however, that Prime is anything short of an amazing dining experience. I'm giving Prime at Sky Meadow 4 stunningly sweet chocolate peanut butter pies that melt in your mouth, not on your fork, out of 5.

I appreciate the fact they allowed us to be seated at different time as the second car was ten minutes behind. We started with a few drinks and took our time looking over the menu. Sarah was nice enough to give us insight on the portion size. All of the sides are shareable for 3-4 people. Even a few of the main dishes you can share amongst two people. The standout menu items were Miso Sea Bass, Ribeye, and mac and cheese. That Sea Bass was beyond amazing. Aside from the food our waitress was amazing, she was the queen at small talk. She had a wonderful attitude and was on top of our drink orders and brought the food out in a timely manner. The manager Felix was also such a delight. You can tell he loves his job and people! Made the graduates feel extra special especially with the comped desserts. (Thank you for remembering the nut allergy.) Such a lovely experience. Expect to pay around $75 - $125 depending on the main course and drinks. Thankful this is the location we choose to have a celebration dinner. Highly recommend for people visiting out of town and locals looking for a nice meal. Overall STRONG 5/5 stars!

DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY! We did the Ink Block tour last week and it is overpriced and I had a very…read moredisappointing experience with the owner over costs. He is the dodgiest businessman I've ever encountered, to the point where I feel obligated to write my first Yelp review. I do not like sharing negative information but this treatment pushed me to share my experience so that it won't happen to anyone else. To reserve a tour, you first have to pay a deposit at the time of booking (fair enough) but then you have to pay in full for each person ($70/pp) the week before the tour. The owner, Joe, also encouraged me to pay for gratuity for each person ahead of the tour but at least I didn't do that piece on my credit card. So before even setting foot on this tour, I paid $840 for a party of 12. As luck would have it, our tour date was the weekend of Winter Storm Riley, that super windy Nor'easter/ Bombogenesis! We had friends joining from out of town who couldn't make it due to canceled flights and power outages. I got in touch with Joe the morning of our tour and told him 3 people couldn't join us (which later turned into 4 ppl), could he please help us out so we didn't have to pay in full for everyone who wasn't able to attend due to extreme weather and got the response of "Hey no problem! I will look when I get home... I'm already down here setting up.. so just come have a good time! :-)" Foolishly, I thought this meant he would help us out. I was wrong. Although Joe was at the restaurants before, during and after our tour, and had them rearrange the place settings to be set-up for our smaller group, he claimed there was nothing he could do about the extra $280 I had paid. I talked about this with him at the end of the tour (he awkwardly showed up at our last stop and took over for our much more personable tour guide) and he kept telling me that he would look into when he got home on his computer but there was nothing he could do now. While we were standing in the restaurant. Read: I don't want you to stiff us on the tip. (I did still tip our tour guide.) So the next day I followed up with him and asked for an update on the extra $280 I paid and was told he was working with the restaurants to see if he could get a refund for what he paid. When I reminded him he had told me this would be "no problem", he ended the email by saying "So I'm working with the locations to see if I can retrieve money back so I need some time. I promise I will do my best to help you out." I wrote to him and asked for another update yesterday, 7 days after our tour, before I wrote any reviews. No response. After not hearing back from Joe, who had told me he was "working with the locations", I decided to call one of the locations. Guess what? Joe had never contacted them. The owner was very sorry to hear this and said of course he would have helped out. He even kindly offered us free food the next time we go in since, as he said, we were getting "a sh!tty deal". The restaurants were great. Once caught in this lie, Joe told me there was nothing he could do about a refund but he offered me another wine tour. Riiiiight. A few ways Joe could have made this less painful of an experience was (1) not to lie repeatedly about helping me out with a refund. Why string me along? (2) given us something for the $280 I paid. If nothing else, give us the wine that I had pre-paid for, or the small bites at the restaurants. Just as a good business gesture of "Hey I'm sorry so many friends couldn't make it due to the insane weather and you have to eat the costs...here's an extra _ANYTHING_ for your trouble!" He had enough time to tell the restaurants our group size was smaller, just not enough to return some of the extra money he pocketed, so we paid the extra money for absolutely nothing. For $840 we got: 3 stops at restaurants basically next door to each other (Area Four, Lion's Tail, Fuji) At Area Four: 1 bottle of red, 1 bottle of white (retails for $19.99) poured amongst 9 people (incl tour guide) plus two small cheese flatbreads At Lion's Tail: 1 bottle of red and 1 bottle of white poured amongst 9 and two meat/cheese boards (several vegetarians on our tour but you don't get asked about the food that's been pre-arranged) At Fuji: 1 bottle of wine and 1 of champagne poured amongst 10 people (owner, Joe, jumped in here) plus edamame and spicy tuna rolls for the table (again, many didn't eat these) In summary, we paid $840 for 6 bottles of wine plus nibbles from the host kitchens that many wouldn't eat, and got lied to by the owner for a week until he gave up the lie and told me he has a no refund policy. It was painful. Please don't make the same mistake!
