We had 8 2 ounce tasters. Erin has the rub of milk stouts known as Whoopie Pie Stout. All our good. The Whoopie AF is down to the last keg so supplies are limited for this rotational. I had a set of IPAs and preferred the flagship Apostrophe IPA. There is a parking lot converted to a nice outdoor tasting room to enjoy the sunset. read more

This was a fun spot to visit! Staff was friendly and helpful and got me a flight quickly. Nice outdoor seating area to enjoy the beers! These guys seem to specialize in a range of whoopie pie milk stouts as something they seem to be known for. Tried their amber, whoopie pie, PB whoopie pie, campfire whoopie pie, and the whoopie AF. Campfire was definitely my favorite - a sort of s'mores stout option. Definitely a cool place - though was shocked that they did not have whoopie pies for sale? At least when I went in. Seems a missed opportunity when they didn't have much for food options other than chips and/or popcorn. read more

Stopped in on a whim to have my first flight of 2021. Staff was friendly and the inside of the tasting room was really cool. SoMe had a broad selection of beers on draft and plenty of to-go and merch options as well. Bathroom was clean and COVID precautions were taken seriously. The prices were reasonable as well. I think this just became my favorite brewery. My friend and I stopped here with our dogs after hiking Mt Agamenticus (about 15 minutes away) and what a great idea it was! This brewery has it all - a good selection of beer (including a sour beer, my personal fav), a really neat/inviting atmosphere, dog friendly (indoor and out), board games, outdoor seating, hot pretzels. I got a flight to try 3 different beers out. They have beer in cans available for purchase and special deals (I think something like grilled burgers and brews for 10$ was going on yesterday) Very reasonable prices here. My favorite thing about this brewery was the culture - everybody was so friendly. We ended up striking up conversations with the employees and other customers. I also liked the little flower arrangements on the tables because I am a sucker for things like that. Highly, Highly recommend! read more

Great little brewery with a lot of character. They had ten beers on tap and all of them were excellent. The Junction was delicious, I definitely recommend it! The space itself was small but cozy with a lot of tables. They have a seating area outside as well. They have a lot of board games, cards, and a foosball table. Stopped by only to try their flight but ended up staying for two hours! The bartenders were friendly and the service was awesome. Also pet friendly! If you are looking for a place to chill with a couple of friends and drink some really good beer, this place is definitely for you. You wont regret it! read more

I love finding great craft beer places that are enthusiastic about what they do and in turn, put out great product. SoMe (SouthMaine) is one of those places. A little tough to find since they are around back from the main street but certainly worth making an effort to get here. Our host was very enthusiastic and was happy to tell us and the other couple in there about the brews. She was quite a talker but infectious! We got to sample a couple of the 8 beers on tap before we went to our selections for our tasting flight. Of course we had to sample the Whoopie Pie Stout. Infused with cocoa and vanilla it made an interesting start to our tasting although we opted not to include it in our flight. Not sure I could drink a whole pint of that. We loved the Apostrophe IPA. I could drink a few of those. The Dent Head was a nice Hefeweizen and a great summer beer for sure. With 8 beers on tap, I'm sure you could find something you like here. And they sell steamed hot dogs if you're hungry. Extra points for the baskets of free chips and pretzels. You could spend some serious time here! read more

Ah, SoMe Brewing Company. We vacation in Cape Neddick every year. We have a ritual every year on our way in, since our car is full of luggage, and usually an unruly and by this point antsy dog. Stop 1)Lobster Outlet , Step 2 SoMe Brewing for some cans and a growler, Stop 3)Wild Willy's for lunch, then we can get to the house, let the dog run , have lunch, and then unpack while we enjoy a solid beer. The first year we came here, the only beer I really liked was Whoopie Pie Stout. The second year we came here the only beer I really liked was Whoopie Pie Stout... by the 3rd year, Apostrophe and Apostrolox quickly took over as my favorites here. Super awesome staff, friendly owners, solid beer, just a great place to grab a few beers while on vacation(or If you're a local I'm sure this place is the go to on game day). read more

I've only been here once, which is why I'm giving it 4 stars, but I am definitely a fan. I met a friend here for a couple beers and we both had such a fun time. The inside is on the smaller side for a brewery, but there were plenty of tables for us to choose from on a Thursday evening. They have a little stage area to the right as you walk in, where they have live music at various times throughout the week. They also offer game nights as well as trivia nights, which I am anxious to try out. They have a good varied selection of brews on tap, my favorite of which was the Whoopie Pie Stout. Omg, sooooooo tasty. If you like stouts, you MUST try this. The staff are super friendly, and there seem to be a lot of locals here. They do allow dogs inside, which I love since I am an animal person, but if you don't like that, then this is not the place for you. Overall it was a very fun vibe in here, and I am looking forward to coming here on other nights so that I can more accurately assess the offerings here. One of the best breweries that I've been to! The two gentlemen that were working were warm and very inviting and know their beer! All of the beers that we tried were fantastic! Even though I don't normally order IPA's I enjoy them if they're fresh and straight from the tap. My favorites were the Whoopie Pie Stout and the Denthead Hefenweizen. We took home a bottle of the Whoopie Pie and will be back soon with a cooler so that we can take home some growlers! read more

Nice little spot, great to relax a bit. Visiting the area for a week, we tried a few breweries big and small. SoMe was among the top. To start, the bartender was friendly and helpful, offering tastes before we bought (stopped in real quick for some to take back to the house). We tried 3 and bought all 3 - each style was done well and delivered on what its description claimed. No of flavors or bad "leftins" from brewing process. The double pale was hoppy without bitterness. The whoopie pie stout was not sweet like I feared, well balanced. The amber drank easy and finished malty and slightly sweet. We went back for a few more before heading home at the end of the week so I highly recommend you pay this place a visit if you're staying in the area. read more

I had a party for ~20 people at the brewery as a wedding welcome party. We chose the location for the space and reasonable rental rate, but a bonus is that the beer is genuinely great! Like, I plan to go back great. The staff could not have been nicer or easier to work with. Sarah was easy to reach with questions before the event, and she was on site to help with space setup day of. We created a tab for our guests, so getting drinks at the bar was a breeze. And the pizza oven was on site that evening, so we included pizza in with our catering. The pizza was a huge hit! Overall it was a fantastic experience. (p.s. we got additional catering from the very nearby York54, which was both convenient for pickup and delicious as well.) Friends are still raving about all the food and beverages from that evening, both the pizza and beer at the brewery and the sandwiches/salads from the restaurant. We have a house right down the street, been coming up to York for 25+ years & not once have we experienced such rude service in YB until now. Super taproom with excellent beer and even better barkeeps! Love that they now have Friday night burgers and more as well as food trucks on a regular basis. Music is usually quite good. This was such an unexpected delight for me. We went on a brewery taproom tour of Portsmouth/kittery and somehow said "oh, York is only 10 mins away, let's go!" and ended up here. It was a little hard to find- I turned around twice before we finally figured out where it was (in the back of a building). So many great beers here. We loved the Whoopie pie stout and we loved the Box the Compass and Apostrophe IPA. We tried a flight of all of the beers and they were all really solid. We brought home over a case of beer and got a free glass from one of the brewers when he saw how much we were buying. Awesome! They had popcorn and pretzels in the taproom too, and the pretzels were warm and yummy. We'll be back and have recommended this place to quite a few people since. read more
