Visited on 7/19/26 with my wife and dog. Drove up from Rhode Island after seeing the menu, available beers, and learning they were dog friendly. We arrived and sat at a picnic table with an umbrella so our pup could be in the shade. We were having a great time, so excited to be there and amped to try their current taps. Just as our apps were being brought out, a gust of wind lifted the umbrella clear out of the table, spilling my wife's drink and sending the heavy metal umbrella pole directly into my face and chest HARD. My wife, the server, and I were all stunned for a moment. Wife thought I was bleeding until we realized it was rust on my face and chest from the pole. Server asked if I was okay, clearly feeling a little awkward, and with my hand to my face I said "I think so? If I'm not bleeding, I guess?, still totally stunned and feeling some pain. Face throbbing, my wife asked for an ice pack, and the server brought us one. We totally understand that it was a freak accident, and that it wasn't our server's fault. But it got awkward from there as the crew working became avoidant. The girl that sat us saw me teary eyed from the pain, holding the ice pack to my face and asked if we were okay... but that was it. The atmosphere quickly became awkward, and considering the pain I was in combined with feeling totally weird from the staff, we asked for a box to take our uneaten food to go. Server brought our check and we were a little surprised to see that we were still charged for the drinks (one of which had spilled because of the umbrella) and the food. We paid cash, still left a nice tip, and left, wanting to get out of the sun and keep an eye on the swelling. We were really disappointed in how the situation was handled by the crew. We weren't looking for our apps to be comped, but it would have been nice for a manager to come by, apologize, offer to refill my wife's beer, and maybe move us to a different table since we were no longer in the shade. The team didn't go around and check the other tables to make sure the umbrellas were safe and secure, either, which was shocking considering what had just happened. We were really looking forward to hanging out, trying a little bit of everything off the menu, buying some cans or growlers to take home... but we left with a swollen, bruised face and chest and an uneaten $90 box of food that we ended up tossing because the mood was completely ruined. We rarely leave a negative review anywhere, but I guess this is just a PSA to check your picnic table umbrella if you sit outside, and hopefully a learning opportunity for management in how to improve customer service and safety for patrons. read more

Went to Odd by Nature on a whim during our staycation. Immediately were welcomed by both Joseph and Ricardo at the bar. Beer is excellent but most surprisingly was how fantastic the cocktail program was! We loved chatting with them both about their travels, love of drinks and their knowledge of both the industry and the drinks they serve. It's a tourist trap if there ever was one. We ordered a grilled cheese sandwich for my daughter, and it wasn't melted or grilled. I ordered a lobster roll and was charged $20 over what other places in the area are charging. They don't show you the bill first but expect you to pay. They also charge a 5% sustainability charge which I didn't see till after. We stayed on vacation all week, ate out, and never paid it anywhere else. So clearly, they nickel and dime tourists. It's disappointing because the beer was good. Total bill for 2 adults, 1 kid was somehow $114. We didn't go back. read more

The Flo's double burger with fries was amazing!! Best burger we've had in a long time. There are no mods but honestly wouldn't change a thing. It was juicy and melt in your mouth delicious. The relish adds a little bit of sweet to the savory. So good. Be warned it's a messy eat but comes wrapped I. Paper which helps to hold it all together. The fries with celery salt are also delicious so no need for ketchup. Do yourself a favor and stop here to eat. You won't regret it and if we were local (California's not close enough) we'd be planning g our return trip. Service was excellent and food came out quickly at the perfect temperature. read more

We went on a beautiful Thursday afternoon. We sat outside. The service was prompt and didn't feel forgotten sitting out there. We were a fairly large party (10) but our food came out together. Almost Every meal had French fries yet they were hot and crispy. No one felt like there food sat around too long. This review doesn't include the brewery aspect because none of us were day drinkers. Fun local brewery with a great outside area with a taproom. Open daily 11-8, no food on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. Pizzas are amazing here... perfect pared with draft beer. Inside there's a long bar to enjoy flights of beer and socializing with locals. My favorites are their Mario's lesser know 3rd brother... fun name tasty beer. Big in Japan is a great IPA. Tried the food here while on vacation with family in Maine. The atmosphere was really cool inside the restaurant, and we had great service. We all tried something different and really enjoyed our meals and appetizers. The only reason why I marked this a four star was the way the inside is set up. We were put at high top barrels that were to serve as your table. Luckily, we ended up moving to the bar as we would not have had enough room for our food. I'm not surprised this brewery has a perfect 5 star rating. I live in Boston and love driving up here to get their beer and enjoy a pour outside with lunch from their food truck. They never disappoint! I love sour beers which is why I enjoy this place so much, but they have a good selection of IPAs and a few other styles. They rotate their beers a lot and always have something new on tap to try so you'll never get bored! Also, I have to mention the people that work here are always so nice - great service. Price wise, the 4-packs are typically anywhere from $18-$22, which I find is average for a microbrewery like this. read more

My boyfriend and I went here for the first time the other day and it was delicious. The servers were very friendly and nice. For an app we ordered the Lobster Rangoon's, and let me just say it did not disappoint at all. For our main meal we ordered the Flo's burger and the American burger both juicy and cooked just right. We also ordered two drinks: the Best Day Ever and the I Have to Say Today was a Good Day both were uniquely ODD but good in their own way. I've stopped in here three years in a row and it's been a decently solid experience each time. The inside vibe is a 80s/90s cartoon lover's dream. The outdoor area is great on a beautiful weather day. Parking is a little tight, but have always been able to put the car somewhere. We ended up here on the first night of our vacation and had such a good time that we came back on the last night of our vacation. The beer was really good. My husband had a double IPA that he was bonkers for... I think it was called Nature. I tried both the Pilsner and a peach sour, both were excellent. I particularly liked the sour because it was unique. Food wise, I thought the pickle chips (or more accurately the pickle spears) were delicious. The sauce that comes with them was so good I kept the extra to dip my fries in! My impossible big mac was enormous... and really tasty. I appreciated having a truly vegan option at a place with such a limited menu. Both times we were there our servers were super personable. However, the only reason I didn't give this place five stars is that the service was a tad slow. read more

We went to Odd By Nature after an Ogunquit Playhouse matinee September 2025. We shared a margarita sampler, a basket of fries, a chicken finger basket, and a Coke. The owner/manager took our card at the table and returned it without providing an itemized receipt. The total after a 20% tip came to $103 - far more than expected for what we ordered. When we checked our credit card statement, we discovered an unexplained $20 charge had been added. We brought this to staff attention immediately while still at the restaurant, then continued communicating with employees via text over the following week. We were told management was "investigating," but after a week of back-and-forth, we've received no resolution or explanation. Most concerning: restaurant employees hinted this was not the first time billing discrepancies like this have occurred. Adding money to a bill is stealing and lacks integrity. Not providing itemized receipts makes it nearly impossible for customers to verify charges before payment. We will NEVER return to this establishment. Other diners deserve to know about this billing issue. We will filing complaints with the Maine Attorney General's Consumer Protection Division and the Better Business Bureau. read more

Wow wow wow wow wow - this brewery! They've only been open 6 weeks and they're KILLING IT. We drove by several times during our vacation in York, ME and finally stopped in after looking them up on Yelp & Instagram. A-freaking-plus. The day we visited, they just got their flight boards in, so we were psyched to try their "rainbow" flight which consisted of all the beers we wanted to try. Shark Attack was the one I was seeing all over that I NEEDED to try. A blue gummy shark sour that tased exactly like what you'd expect...and it was incredible. Next was the Afterpho which was the hubs favorite. The other two consisted of their Sour Patch collab with Definitive Brewing (amazing) and their Gank this Creamsicle which was an IPA but fit in perfectly with the rest of the sours (also amazing). As big sour fans, these were definitely some of our favorite sours of all time. The staff here was awesome! They are a table service brewery so your beertender comes right to your table to give you the rundown, and ours was great! Such a cool guy, and described all the beers perfectly. You could clearly tell he was passionate about this place. Outside, they allow dogs and even brought our pup her own water bowl. They serve food from their food truck as well. What a great place to spend the afternoon! Once they start canning that Shark Attack, we'll be making the 2+ hour drive just to buy it. Keep doing what you're doing y'all!!! Please! Let me start by saying that my wife and I are huge brewery fans. The food is good quality and varied, atmosphere is chill, usually allow dogs and of course the beer. But occasionally you run into the exception... I'll say that the staff was great, the atmosphere was great , nice indoor bar and seating and nice outdoor eating area which allowed the pups. However the dining part of brewery left a lot to be desired. I ordered the burrito bowl which they ran out of, my wife ordered the bang bang shrimp which she thought was meh, my daughters both ordered a lobster entree which they didn't have enough of to make both, so one settled for the carne asada fries. And to top it off the only beer I wanted and was looking forward to, the Oddtoberfest had not been released yet. I get that happens but 2 of the 4 meals not being available and the seasonal beer not being released on time, no bueno... Sadly we're from out of state and not likely to visit again. Stumbled on Odd by Nature while driving on route 1 and happily pulled in for a pour. They have a parking lot and an outdoor space with the "Food for Thought" food truck outside. The inside space is small and while the bartender was nice, he inconsistently paid attention to the various customers at the bar and we felt like we were always waiting for another pour or the check. The beer is unique but doesn't stand out amongst all of the good beer Maine has to offer. They had more sours than anything and all of them had some sort of sour candy in them and were quite sweet. If you want food from the food truck, you order with the bartender. The people next to us got burgers and fries and it looked and smelled very good. The owners of the brewery also own the restaurant and food truck "Food for Thought". I don't need to return to the brewery. It's quite touristy and the beer style is not appealing to me anymore. read more

This was such a random roadside excursion. And one of the best ones we had during our Maine trip! we were literally waiting in line for The famous Flo's hotdogs (I unfortunately had to sit out, celiac as usual), when our friend decided he really wanted to do a brewery (to go with that hotdog of course). Lo and behold, right across the street is odd by nature brewing. In lo and behold, they have a lovely gluten-free menu that made me SO happy I missed out on hotdogs so I had plenty of room to devour it all I did not try the beers, but the boys told me they were incredible. I did try the food and OMG those fries are still ridiculously memorable and so was that savory waffle. Mmnnnnnnnnmmm I can't wait to come back next summer!!! read more

We stopped by at this place on our way for a trip to Portland. The place is already pretty busy with local folks before 5 pm and you can immediately tell that this is a local favorite. What we ordered: Flight (What is quince, Class of 2021, Afterpho, Crab apple fight) As a sour beer lover, I enjoyed the variety and complexity of each beer. Class of 2021 was pleasantly surprising with a richness of butter and a hint of marshmallow. Crab apple had a very fresh sharp hint of apple which we also really liked. The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable about the beers they hold. I especially enjoyed their story of renovating this premise from the ground up. Overall, it is a very nice place to stop by to relax and enjoy quality beer and experience the local feel of the town. read more

OK, I'm a brewery snob and a foodie (as my stomach shows), and this place hit all the right notes for me. First up, its' kind of confusing when you walk up , they should really have a sign saying "go have a seat outside we offer full service, or come inside" but once we figured out what was going on, we got a picnic table outside and sat down Parking is in the old Jamaican restaurants parking lot . Ordered a flight, and got 2 plates from the food truck (lobster poutine and Nashville hot chicken dumplings). The beer was fantastic, we wound up splitting two flights so we got a little bit of everything. Their guest tap from Barreled Souls was fantastic (as souls tends to be), and all their beers were really good. Their two candy sours (Red Headed Step Son and Shark Attack) tasted like the candy they were based on. Their IPAs were really solid(and we were at Tree House yesterday), and even their lager, while I'm not normally a fan, was outstanding as well. Now on to the food... I hate to say this... Literally some of the best food I've had on vacation this week. The lobster poutine had a great lobster/fries/cheese ratio.. and they used cheese curds instead of just hunks of block cheese like some places do. The Nashville hot chicken dumplings were amazing, although I will say, I wish the hot sauce was more .... Flavorful.. it was pretty much just a super cayenne pepper sauce (yes I know thats what Nashville hot chicken uses), but something like a Chipotle Spicy Shark sauce would have added much more depth. We will be back at least a few more times this week now that we have discovered it. You can't go wrong here. read more

Delicious beers! I'm a super huge fan of definitive and thought I would never find sours or fruited beers as good as them, but these guys are ALSO crushing it! I had the shark attack- Gose 6.1abv. Literally tasted like a blue gummy shark! Which, by the way, was the garnish. Next I had the Kids table. 6.6abv. A fruited Berlinerweisse. Tasted like an acoholic popsicle. I didn't have time to try everything so I'll be back. I saw some tasty looking other beers and their beer cocktails looked amazing! One legit Looked like a dessert complete with whipped cream! I'm so happy I have another place to go! The more the merrier! On a side note: food was also delicious but I only had the cheese poutine so I feel I need to have more to rate that aspect. We went to Ogunquit to walk on the Marginal Way trail which was beautiful. We stumbled on this place. Loved everything about it. The staff was so great the chef came out to talk with us about the food. The menu was very unusual , unfortunately they were out of the falafel waffle dish and the bang bang shrimp. We got the Nashville Ramen and the OBN fries. The ramen was delicious not like any I had ever had before. A bit hot I think that was the Nashville sauce. It hd a large portion of chicken and hit the spot as the night was a bit chilly. The OBN fries drizzled in honey with aioli sauce we're inspirational.!We sat outside at the tables which had propane heaters at each picnic table. The inside was very nice as well, bright and cheerful.The beer list is extensive and not anything you would find other places. The cocktail looks amazing as well. We tried the odd by Nature Blue slide park and the Outdone , both were really good. We liked it so much we got a 4 pack of Evil to take home. Go for a beer stay for the food . This place is amazing!! Stopped here on the way to Bar Harbor and couldn't have picked a better place to kick off our vacation. The staff were very friendly and helpful and the food was so so good. I got the vegan whopper and my husband got the Nashville chicken sandwich. Both were so tasty. It was the kind of food where it's hard to have a conversation about anything else. And of course the beer! My husband tried the pineapple and the blue shark beers and we got some of the crash bandicoot themed beer to go. All three were fun and tasty. Food: the food was heavily seasoned and I think excessively so. Smashburger was ok but overall nothing memorable. What was memorable was how bad the Sun Sucks larger beer tasted. Ughhh! I hope I can forget that taste. Service: it was good. No issues with order or timeliness but not disclosing drink prices is a little underhanded, especially when you see the final bill. Ambiance: This is the reason I will never go back! We had disgusting loud rap music blaring through the whole meal. It was repulsive and it was obvious that no one in the place liked it. Great new spot!! Everyone was super friendly and chatty, there have a lot of outdoor seating as well as indoor and a great food truck by food for thought that is always here. Tim was our bartender inside he was great very nice and answered all our questions. The beers here are super interesting the two we tried were the mango lassi milkshake ipa and usually I don't love boozy milkshake types of things but this was excellent and I would come back just for that! The hard cider we also had was great as well. The food was also incredible we had a lobster roll and lobster poutine which had so much lobster meat it was well worth it and the fries were nice and crispy!
