Met some friends for lunch at Throwback Brewery recently. Great location with plenty of parking. We sat inside, but there is outdoor seating for warmer weather. Very family friendly- my daughter brings her kids here to see the farm animals. My sister enjoyed Lox Toast. I had the Korean BBQ Wings, as did one of my friends on the recommendation of Erica, our server. Delicious! Of course, we had some of their delicious brews. My sister did some samples and loved them all-Big Galoot Grapefruit, Rule the Roost, Ninja of the North & Hank's Pale Ale. I had a Cheek Squeezer which was very puckery and a Vanilla Stout #3 which was yummy. We had excellent service and were not rushed at all. Recommended without hesitation. read more

Stopped in after a Sunday at the beach. It doesn't open till 4pm during the week so we have wanted to stop by but it's not practical during weekday visits to the coast. On weekends they open earlier so we popped in for some beers and an app. Very nice outdoor and indoor space, I LOVE that they had dark beers and not just IPAs like many breweries these days, particularly in the summer. We sat at the bar (as per usual for us) and service was fast and friendly. No complaints! I wish we had gone for lunch or dinner because the food coming out looked great. We got the onion dip to help the beers go down and that was fantastic. They grow all sorts of veggies on the premesis and they source local cheese/ingredients so it's a nice concept. My only complaint is that there were several signs outside and inside saying to wait for the host to be seated and we waited a LONG time and then she said oh you can just sit at the bar. So, maybe put that on one of the signs? Usually the bar is seat yourself but when there are multiple signs as you walk up saying to speak to the host before sitting - idk I'm gonna speak to the host. I'm a rule follower. Not enough to turn me off, we will likely be back! read more

Women owned! Sustainable! On a farm! You can buy product, say hi to the goats, sit inside, outside or "free range" in the Adirondack chairs (no table service in the free range). 1.5 hour wait for a table, 30+ min wait in line for a beer. The bar window for the outdoor space was closed, not staffed, even with these over capacity waiting times. This place is awesome. First, the setting is an old barn on a farm right off RT1 and 111in North Hampton, NH (very kid friendly). Second, this is a woman owned business that really supports the community. Third, the beer and food were both incredible. Rarely does a great craft brewery have great food but Throwback has both. We decided to come here tonight as it has been awhile. We were wanting somewhere with good ambience and outside atmosphere as it was extremely nice weather. We were seated quickly outside with great atmosphere in the evening weather. It took a little bit for us to be served, but our server was very friendly. The drinks were par with a brewery and cocktails were on par with the brewery. we asked our server about the poutine and she said it was great. We both got the burgers in which I asked for mine rare. We waited approximately 25 minutes for poutine which came with ourmain meal. We immediately got into the poutine and quickly found out it was not poutine. There was hard chunks of cheese and just french fries covered in curry sauce. Theburger was unimpressive and did not have a lot of flavor. Both my wife and I decided this place would be good for drinks and ambience out side. read more

On way to Portland and needed a well earned lunch break. This was beyond what the doctor ordered! Firstly, when traveling with a dog, lunch spots are few and far between. And frankly you make sacrifices. That said, this spot exceeded our wildest expectations. Lovely beers, gorgeous barn, to die for menu, and most importantly lovely service. We tried the IPA sampler followed by the figgy toast. Chefs kiss. Next, we split the throwback burger and we're blown away by the flavor profile both on the burger and home made sweet potato fries. This is truly a community hub that many families treasure. All the beers are fantastic. My all time favorite is Cashmere Track Suit. The Daily Catch, Fish Tacos and Korean Beef BBQ Bowl are solid options, along with the fancy fries with any of the sauces. Vegans can enjoy the Falafel Pita Pocket. Always check the specials menu. I've been to Throwback a dozen times, I'm surprised I haven't left a glowing review yet! This brewery is the best. The beers are great, and the farm-to-table food is so fresh and delicious. I've tried almost everything on the menu during my many visits, and every meal has been a big hit. Every time I go, I always start off with the French Onion dip. I'm not even usually an onion dip person, but whatever they put it this, it makes me keep coming back for more! It's the perfect place to go with a group of friends and spend a nice afternoon together. My only wish is that they were open later on the weekends, since they close on the early side for a brewery, but maybe someday! read more

Still love this place. Have been going since they opened. Great service today, as usual. We both had flights so were able to try 8 yummy drafts. We had the chilaquiles and homie bowl for brunch. The only drawback is that the new Jericho's Landing is big and sunny but so loud. The sound (esp kids yelling) bounces off walls and celings. We'll stay up front or outside. read more

I went to Throwback with my sister for yoga, and then my brother-in-law met us with my dogphew for lunch and drinks after. Throwback is very pretty with great views. I hated the yoga, because it was outside and really wasn't nice enough to have yoga outside, so I wouldn't go back for that. The menu was poorly worded, but once you can figure it out, the options are good. I really enjoyed my curry bowl with duck. It was big and flavorful. I ordered a side of grits, and those were so poorly cooked that they should probably take them off the menu. My sister's grilled cheese was delicious and her husband enjoyed his ploughman's platter. Service was good. The beers are tasty, and we all agreed we'd go back for those. We appreciate that Throwback is women-owned and dog-friendly, and it's a good stop while in New Hampshire. read more

Still up and running strong! Covid can't slow this place down. Picked up a growler of Hog Happy Hefeweizen and a few cans of For Dad. Wanted to have a few on the beer garden but didn't have reservations and it was packed on this Sunday afternoon. Got to try a growler of their For Dad the next time. The best part of throwback is the beautiful outdoor seating! Plenty of tables and there's chickens and sometimes pigs too! Of course then you get the bugs and bees though. We got their hamburger to share and the burger was perfectly cooked and juicy! The sweet potato fries though were soggy and gross. It's a little pricey too, $28 for one burger and two beers. My boyfriends favorite beer is the cheeksqueezer, he's obsessed with it but waaay to sour for me! I got the Pilsner which is just okay, didn't taste like a traditional one. They do have a couple games to play and dogs are allowed outside. read more

The family had a few of the great beers and some apparently fantastic food. The Korean wings and the duck poutine must have been fantastic because they devoured it, though I got a few fries. I would definitely recommend Throwback as a delicious farm to table dining option and a place where all are welcomed. I loved seeing couples, single diners, families and friends enjoying the outdoor space and the room to stroll and see from where your food grows. They support a lot of other local farmers as well. The owners are lovely, hard-working farmers that started this business from the ground up, you don't get a more inspiring all-American story than that. I hope the hate that is currently being directed at them and their business, largely by people who have never been there, dissipates. I support businesses who share my beliefs but I've never attacked one who doesn't. My Grandmother would roll over in her grave. read more

Happened upon this brewery by chance. We stopped for lunch and sat at the bar. They have a nice area outside if the weather is good. It's on an old farm and is very rustic. Lots of locals in the bar. Good choice of beer and the menu was diverse. I had a cheese flight and a margarita. The cheese was local and presented well. I loved the pickled veggies on the board. Came in for lunch today. Based off the previous reviews I had higher expectations. This place has a nice ambiance and plenty of seating, but the service was very slow. Took almost 15 minutes once we were seated for a server. We put in drinks, an app and entrees (fish tacos and a burger) at the same time. Our app and entrees came out at almost the same time. No one ever came back to check on us or to see if we wanted more drinks. The tacos were good, but the burger was just okay. read more

We went a few weeks ago & loved it! We found this place as we had a last minute stay in the area and we were so happy we found it! They were kind enough to let us be seated for dinner as we arrived close to closing (very much appreciated)! They also let our dog come for outside seating, the hostess even said dogs were encouraged! The food was SO GOOD! The beer and cider were great too! The staff was great! Are you kidding me with this new location??? I can't love this place anymore than I steady do unless I quit my job and started working here!!! I love everything about this place...the fact that it's women owned and operated, they locally source all ingredients, they have a gastropub, they have adorable merchandise...the list goes on and on and on!! You gotta check out my pictures to get an idea of how adorable this place is!!! They give you bobble heads when you order food and drinks!!! Everything from Yoda to Wonder Woman to Kermit the Frog...such a frickin cute concept!!! Seriously! Oh and the beer, the real reason we come...it's just so versatile and fun!! There's jalapeño beer, rhubarb beer...a beer called "Cashmere tracksuit" and so many other goodies!!! Honestly, if I lived closer, this would be my hangout!
