Great

Get the mint chip shake it's so good. The burgers and chicken fingers are so good. The staff is the nicest people ever. And it's reasonably priced

Really good burgers and prices. Just as good as shake shack - maybe better. We ordered the instant classic and the green goblin. The burgers were perfectly cooked with melted cheese. The fries and the onion rings. were also perfectly cooked and delicious. They also make real milkshakes with ice cream! We shared the creamsicle dreamsicle which was heavenly! Service was wonderful- the teens were so polite and helpful. Ambiance is relaxing at least the day we went. A big plus, The place is pristine.

The small burger chain, Lexie's, should not be missed. They have a handful of locations in Massachusetts and NH. The one in Newburyport is on the main drag and is easy to get to. The dining room is small but clean and bright with neat artwork on the walls. Piped in music was not too loud. The staff is friendly and engaging. Their burgers are just the right size, never too big and not too small. Delightfully messy and tasty! Their fries are perfect and can be ordered in a few different ways. Definitely stop for lunch or dinner!

Urban cowboy, instant classic, and side of fries

Lexie's was the perfect place to stop in for a bite to eat while driving through Newburyport. As someone who loves a good burger, I was excited to see so many delicious options on their menu, and it was difficult deciding on what to order. I ended up getting the Instant Classic and my partner got an Urban Cowboy and we split a side of fries. Since it was a nice day outside, we ordered takeout and sat in one of the parks down the street. This was probably one of the tastiest burgers I've had in awhile... the flavor combinations and quality of the different toppings made me not want to put the burger down! I also loved the cut of the fries, which reminded me slightly of Five Guys (with a lot less grease). I really wish I lived closer to this location so I could go back and try more!

We were on our way to Maine from Boston and needed a quick snack so we placed the order online and picked it up on the way. It looked like an old fashion burger joint filled with teenagers. It was clean and our order was ready right on time, super efficient. The fries were great and with the perfect amount of salt, the fish tacos were also pretty good. The one downside was that we were not given any napkins or ketchup or mayo for our fries...

Cooked great, but not much else going on

We stopped here because my boss demanded it as he knows I'm a foodie and Yelp too much. You have to order over the phone or online, so make sure you do that instead of just showing up. We ordered online and were sent a text saying it would be ready around a half hour from them. Unfortunately it was actually an hour wait.. for take out. Not sure if they deliver which would make sense of being that far behind, but we only saw about four orders come out during our wait. They did tell us they were behind once they gave us our food. They're not doing chicken burgers at the moment (which is what my boss recommended), so we went with the bean patty option. Order - Urban Cowboy Beanie Burger, potato wedges with cheese and bacon, and a beanie burger w lettuce, tomato, pickle, and jalapenos. Hey - the bean burger option here is great. Definitely solid. Still a good size with good flavor and great texture. My gf is gluten free and she said the buns (I think they're Udis) went really well with hers). Sadly - after an hour wait, it was pretty underwhelming. My wedges were lacking when it came to cheese and bacon. Just not much going on, so bummer there. They also had a hair attached to the cheese. Sh*t happens - it just humors me a bit that out of the small amount of cheese they put on my fries.. a hair lands. They missed the jalapenos and sauce on my gf's beanie burger, so that was lacking. Listen - I'll go back. We visit Newburyport plenty, but we usually stop at Paddle Inn. Might take me a while to try this place again, but my boss swears by it, so I'll be back.

Lexie's was such a great surprise. We stopped by here after going blueberry picking close by. Lexie's is a tiny burger place but so great. There isn't a ton of space so you might not get a table if it's a busy time but the wait has always been reasonable for us. The burgers were really good, not too big but still filling. We loved their loaded fries too. It was so affordable and the staff was wonderful and friendly. Definitely recommend if you're in the area and need a quick lunch/dinner.

This was supposed to be cooked fully through.

Very good. I was dying for a grilled cheese with tomato, as someone gluten free that's sometimes a challenge.

I love the bistro fries! The burgers are pretty good, but they are a bit expensive for a small joint.

This is hands down one of the best burger joints in Mass, not to mention the friendly service and the cozy town. Satisfaction guaranteed.

The music was good, and not too loud or overbearing. Not so much a place for sunset viewing as you face the river with Newburyport on the other side and the view facing West is actually the bridge. Food and service were both great. I agree with one of the other reviews - the blue cheese burger was one of the best I have ever had and the ahi nachos appetizer was also very tasty. The wait for the table was reasonable and we grabbed a drink at the bar and were called faster than anticipated. Sat on the rail - looking at the river. Server was pretty busy, but did a fine job, and was friendly even though we could tell she was super busy. Very enjoyable date night.

The River House in Portsmouth, Tuna Striker Pub on Seabrook Harbor and lastly The Deck in Salisbury overlooking the Merrimack River and Newburyport Harbor! He chose The Deck in Salisbury and I agreed bc it's in a great location with beautiful views! When we got there their Parking Lot was full but they had additional parking across Rt.1 where they offered a golf cart shuttle to the Restaurant! We decided to just walk over! The Deck was very busy probably bc it's Father's Day! We were seated at a high top table, enjoyed the views and were amazed at the number of staff they had maneuvering around the tables, with precision I might add, delivering food to the tables! It was quite an impressive sight! Our Waitress was very pleasant, welcomed us and was attentive throughout our visit! There were six of us and we chose the following menu items...My Daughter in Law chose the "Caprese Salad w/grilled Chicken, the Grand Children had a Cheeseburger and the oldest a Lobster Roll, his favorite, which by the way can be ordered warm w/Butter MKT Price which our Waitress said was $48, it seems to be the going price right now in better restaurants! It was a decent portion of Lobster meat! My significant other and Son both opted for the fried Scallops , hers with Onion Rings, which were fried in a light batter and tasty, his with Fries! The Scallops were excellent, fried in a light batter and delicious! I chose the "Deck Blues Burger" which was one of the best Burgers I've ever had and grilled medium to perfection! The food all around was excellent and when you add the beautiful views it made for one of the most memorable Father's Day's! We highly recommend "The Deck" and it will become one of our favorite dining spots in the future! Food...5 Vibe....5 Staff...5

** Burger and Donut Review **…read more Outstanding space with a rustic modern look, a 4-sided bar, balanced seating (booths, tables, high-tops), an outdoor patio, and a private room. My wife and I had the pleasure of sitting in seats more akin to living room furniture-- that's a good thing. Also good was the breeze that blew in from the deck on a hot day. -- Blackened Cod Sandwich: This was my wife's lunch and it looked very good, with a brioche bun, and no shortage of condiments. Most importantly, the tall portion of fish was very moist and very well seasoned. My small taste didn't have the classic "blackened" vibe, but it was very good. A mini basket of fries provided plenty. Probably frozen, but good quality and a good balance between crisp and droopy. -- Dry Aged Burger: As a burger aficionado, that's what I came for, and a dry aged one-- a rarity around Boston, sadly-- gets my attention immediately. This one, ordered medium rare, brought a decent crust and decent moistness inside, though both could be more pronounced. It was probably closer to medium than medium rare, and the brioche bun was a white bready under the dome, but it worked. The dry aged flavor came through immediately. Good supporting cast among the sauces and vegetation, and same fry basket treatment as on my wife's plate. Overall, good instead of the hoped-for great. -- Donuts: We came at brunch, so this was a nice option for us to treat as a dessert. My opening came when I saw another server walk by with a plate and I asked her upon returning, "What was that plate of meatball-looking things?" She said those were the apple cider donut bites, and proceeded to gush that they were her favorite thing on the menu and a don't-miss item. This prevented me from having to twist my wife's arm, so it was a done deal. The "bites" were fairly large, closer to baseball size than golfball size, with a nice thick outer crunch yielding to a very warm, still-moist-but-fully-cooked interior. Delicious cinnamon flavor on the outside, natural donut dough flavor inside, and kicked up by a thin, cinnamon-maple sauce underneath and a whipped cream (they called it and vanilla anglaise) on the sides. Fantastic, and in an era when "artisan" donuts run $5 apiece even out of a fridge, getting six warm ones of higher quality for $12 was a steal. The burger was closer to good than great, but overall a good meal, good service, great space, and surprisingly good value (on all three items). I'd be interested to try them for dinner.

Burgers were good but the only complaint and it's BIG is the cleanliness. I am not one who goes looking for cleanliness but when the menus were stuck to the table and still salt debris from the former guests was visible not to mention the salt shaker itself (disgusting and needs to be tossed). I wouldn't want to see the results of the black light run over the whole menu either. Come on people. Looked like they had plenty of help on board and a quick team clean before the rush would be totally worth it.

And then seemed surprised that we wanted to look at the drink menu. The decorations inside are great, it's all set up for Halloween but also strange was the many TVs were on but at least three didn't work and had the Direct TV logo on, three were showing children with cleft palate syndrome and how you can donate and two had old soccer games. So, points for decor but negative points for terrible tv. Next up we order- I ordered a Bloody Mary medium spice and my husband ordered the same. They had zero spice. I couldn't taste horseradish, lemon, heat, anything. They were beautiful but absolutely tasteless. We then ordered chicken fingers with Carolina gold sauce and tater tots. The bartender didn't know what sauce we were talking about so we showed it to her on the menu-but that is absolutely not the sauce we got. The fingers came out dressed in some hot sauce that was so hot I couldn't only eat one and had to drink water in between every bite. How were the tater tots? No idea because they never came, but she didn't charge us either. I couldn't wait to get out of there. It's so disappointing because they have a great location and could be doing so much better. Oh, and don't get me started on the extra "service charge" on the tab. Apparently it's some extra fee all the waterfront restaurant owners are charging? We won't be back. The Goat is definitely not the GOAT
