Arguably the best breakfast I've ever had. If you like omelets get the veggie at this place. It was amazing. Run don't walk to this place

Diabetes sweet and I'm pretty sure was not made from fresh fruit. After sitting for awhile I could see that it was separating. I think it was made from a juice concentrate... -blueberry flapjack cake w/vanilla ice cream: nothing special about this, the vanilla ice cream was icy (freezer burnt?) At least the server was nice

Ya know, I might be one of the few New Hampshirites who visits The Nash Casino, yet never gambles…read more The reason? I just wanna check out the food scene. Not surprisingly, the casino features some top tier food. We first discovered the steakhouse gem that is Proper Chophouse. Then....I had a little place called Woodlands Cafe pop up on my list of Yelp recommendations. After looking over the menu, it occurred to me that absolutely NO ONE had reviewed their breakfast menu at the time of writing this review. But I'm about to change all that. Before we get to the food though, I will say their dining room is pleasantly inviting and modern. As you can imagine, breakfast tends to attract smaller crowds. Still, the service was fine. I do wish the server had swung by a bit more to check on my coffee refill. But she was otherwise stellar. As for the food.. Forest Ham Omelet: I gotta say...it's nice to see a restaurant prepare a PROPER omelet. That is to say - it's composed of 3 eggs, cooked light and fluffy and NOT scorched in any way. One thing I want to point out is the misleading description of the cheese they use. See, the menu claims it's a "creamy" Havarti cheese. This led me to believe it was almost like a sauce (which would have been nice). Instead, it was more stringy than anything else. It tasted fine, but isn't what I'd consider creamy. The ham is sliced thin and blends well with the scallions. Overall, a very pleasant omelet. 9 out of 10. Toast: So, I got white toast (of course) and....fair warning, it comes dry. However, they offer both butter and jam. You just have to spread it yourself. Naturally, I prefer butter which had no problems melting into the toast. I also appreciate they aren't afraid to toast it a perfect medium darkness. So many other places seem content with serving up albino toast for some reason. 8 out of 10. Home fries: I was pleasantly surprised to see the onions and peppers mixed in. Normally, I'm not much of a peppers guy. But on this occasion, I was feelin' it for some reason. They're the pre-seasoned kind, too. So, they also pair well with the accompanying ketchup, if that's your thing. The colorful medley made the overall presentation of the dish that much more stunning. Solid 9 out of 10. Coffee: Not much to say about this one, other than my gracious appreciation for the fact it didn't taste like tea. It's always nice to have a medium to dark roast as opposed to the unreasonably faint breakfast blend so many other diners offer. Just be sure to request cream and sugar if you want it. 9 out of 10. Clearly, I'm rounding UP on this review as a whole, even if everything wasn't quite perfect. I think the thing that surprised me the most about this place was how inexpensive everything was, considering the quality. It's hard to believe that, in this day in age, I can spend almost double what it cost me here to eat a similar breakfast at a place like MaryAnn's. Such strange times we live in. Well anyway, I definitely would like to try their lunch/dinner menu sometime in the near future. For now, I feel comfortable granting Woodlands Cafe 5 light and fluffy omelets out of 5.

I was attracted to a photo on their website. BINGO. I now knew where I was headed and what my choice would be. Since it was about an hour before they were closing on a weekday, it was not terribly crowded. However the customers who were there, I gathered they were regulars. They were interactive with their waitstaff. I had the pleasure of having Frido as my waiter. He was prompt, courteous, and making sure my needs were met. I ordered the BLTE, plus getting to pick my choice of bread from a variety. I ordered it on sourdough. It wathe best egg/blt breakfast sandwiches I've had. I cannot wait to go back and try something new. Everything looked awesome on the menu. The Yolk could be easily missed since it is in a small strip mall next to a hardware store. Worth the drive, a feel at home type of place.

Got the s'mores French toast with a chocolate frappe and both were heavenly!! Tried my sister's blueberry crunch pancake as well, which was both light and flavorful. When we went back for lunch, however, we found the experience less enjoyable. Both of our waitresses were lovely, but the lunch food was definitely less appealing to us than breakfast. Got a cheeseburger as well as some chicken tenders, which while decent, both lacked uniqueness in terms of flavor. Both were good, but not something I'd crave again. We also shared some loaded fries that lacked crunch and flavor - my mom in particular didn't like their softer texture. Tried some of my sister's chorizo burger though, which was well-seasoned and definitely better than my own burger. Both meals were also decently expensive, (don't remember the exact price, but around 60-80 w/o a tip, with tip it was nearly 100) The ambiance and decor was very charming, with plenty of cute signs and photos that felt very homey and casual. Would definitely recommend breakfast, but for lunch, improvements can be made. Would still recommend for wonderful service + environment though!
